The first half was miles better than the second half. I did love the chemistry between the leads; very natural to the point I forgot they were acting and not a real couple. It's an 8/10 for me.
Excellent drama imho, both leads are equally strong in their characterisation, there are some minors absurdities…
I'm on episode 24 and I can't stand her character. When she jumped in front of Pei's car to get his attention I was officially done with forcing myself to watch her character. But to read your comment and see that she never evolves or grows out of her childish ways makes me know I made the right decision.
The amount of times I cried an episode or rewatched the opening before I started an episode was ridiculous. I'm going to miss this couple and the rest of the family (especially the FL's aunt).
1. No. YZH's father has changed his life for the better. 2. The main and second leads stay together till the end.…
I didn't mind her at first either but 37 episodes of her doing the same antics is too much. If she had less screen time then I would have been okay. I've seen a lot of toxic mothers in dramas but she takes the cake because she's virtually the star of the drama. Just imagine and unlikeable character constantly on the screen.
If you watch towards the end the husband lets her demoralize him because he chooses to--to keep the peace, he can put her in her place with ease but chooses not to. You'll see that towards the end.
10/10

I felt bad for her kids, especially the son.
