There's something extremely off-putting about the second FL's husband. I feel like he knew that guy's character was slimy and was perfectly fine having the FL entertain him to help out his business. I noticed that he seemed unbothered when that guy was calling the FL all kinds of names and almost neutral when that guy turned his venom to his wife for defending the FL.
But the icing on the cake was the reaction he had after his wife got slapped by that man. In no universe should he have allowed anyone to slap his wife and not put paws on him. And I use the word allow because that guy felt like it was perfectly okay to hit her because the husband didn't defend her when he called her out her name. It's crazy because the ML has only known the FL for a couple of months, and he put hands on that slimy guy the second he saw that he was about to slap the FL.
Can I just say, I love the communication between the leads. Neither of them wants the other to misunderstand them, so they talk out their issues and make amends when they feel like they've wronged the other.
And the way that we're only eight episodes in and they've already had each other's backs numerous times (even before they become friends).
I’m starting to feel less interested in this drama than before and no it’s not the episodes count. I’m not…
The netizens saying it's male centric but the drama feels very much female centric. This drama is reminding me of Yu Zheng's other drama perfect match with the story revolving around the FL's family.
Why are people not casting him as a main lead? This man is gorgeous and can act his butt off. Every single time he's in a drama my attention is drawn to him over the ML.
I really enjoyed this drama. The FL was mature, gorgeous, and incredibly classy. It's so easy to understand why the ML fell in love with her. She went well and beyond for him and really took her time to get to understand and know him.
On episode 20...I don't really see where the FL's feelings switched for the ML. It's very clear how the ML fell…
I think it's when she stripped away the brother aspect from her brain and replayed back there time together now putting him in the role of a potential lover and that's when it switched for her that she loved him.
I love half this drama, but I refuse to watch the second couple. I ff their parts when I rewatch.
I wish there was an edited version that scrapped the second couple from the drama. It would have been perfect. I swear I had to fast forward every two minutes because they were always on the screen.
I'll be honest, I wasn't sure what all the fuss was about when it came to this drama. But after binging this for three days straight, I get the hype. This was a 10/10. The romance, chemistry, plot, cinematography...everything was just perfect.
What's Lin Yusen's cousin's issue? The grandpa has already claimed him as the heir. Lin Yusen's passion has always been in medicine, and he'd still be a doctor if he hadn't gotten injured. And it's clear Lin Yusen doesn't care about being high in his position because look at where he chose to work.
It won't even surprise me if the cousin now thinks that the ML is with the FL to steal his position and garner their grandpa's favor.
This drama was such a disappointment. I came in expecting to watch two pretty nerds slowly falling in love. And in truth, the first 1/3 of the drama we got exactly that until the writer decided she didn't like the leads. So she discarded them and replaced them with the second couple: A country bumpkin and a rich CEO. Their "love story" grated on my nerves. Who in their right mind would want to watch a man pretend to be handicapped to win a girl over?
But the second couple's biggest crime is that they sucked all the screen time away from the leads, and then the writer had the audacity to have them progress in their relationship well before the leads. The second leads had already become official and kissed before the leads even shared a hug. Is that not crazy? And when the leads made huge progress, the writer decided that was enough and separated them. It's even crazier to know the leads don't even become a couple until the last leg of the drama.
This drama would have been amazing if it had been cut down to 24 episodes and 90% of the drama focused on the main couple, because Esther and Bin Bin's chemistry was so good. They need a redo drama together.
What did the FL's father actually gain by choosing a gold-digging woman and her conving daughter? He lost his wife, daughter, the respect of his parents, and a tarnished reputation. He's really not smart. Even the golddigger said he wouldn't have been successful if she had chosen him because the real brains behind him was always the FL's mother.
I’m glad Song Weilong got this drama. I hope it takes his career to the next level, because I feel like he’s…
This was the breakout role that he needed because unfortunately he wasn't been taken serious for his acting all these years. I remember when he was announced as the ML for this drama, the amount of people were so angry that he was the ML. I'm so glad he proved people wrong.
Why is Wetv/Tencent releasing all these spoilers on social media but the episodes are moving at a crawling pace? This is a slow burn drama already, one episode a day just doesn't make sense. 😭
I liked the South Korean Version of this drama but I loved this version more. There was less episodes, so there was no need to stuff the show with filler. The romance was well written. The one gripe I always had about the SK version was that the ML had little to no personality. The ML in this drama actually does, and the romance feels more natural.

This makes me love the FL's mom even more.
