He Yu biting into that apple shouldn't have been as hot as it was. I never thirst after a man in a drama but everything this man does is just sexy.

Why are people complaining about Esther's voice in the comments? You should all know how her voice sounds by now. If it annoys you, why bother watching in the first place?

The first half was miles better than the second half and the ending felt very anticlimactic for me. It's still a 9/10 for me simply because the ML fought for his life every single episode and the fight scenes were good. If I ever do a rewatch I'll stop watching after he's snatched from prison because that's when the narrative starts to change for me.

It was a good drama. I rated it an 8.5. The last five episodes were a slog to get through, the deaths were *anticlimactic*, and they added in my least favorite trope the second-to-last episode so I had to dock it down from a 9 to an 8.5. This is by far my favorite role by Reba and if you are a lover for a good enemies-to-lovers done right then this is the drama for you.

I enjoyed it for the most part. It's a short drama, so of course, plot points are illogical at times. It's not as good as their last drama together, but I can say I was never bored at that is good enough for me. 8/10.

Oh. I have dramas to watch. Just not on IQIYI that's what I mention it'd be a waste. I'm just going to finish Love on the Turquoise Land and The Manipulation today.

At least it's airing. I thought they were going to push to next year.

I'm not going to lie, I was let down. Not because the drama was bad per se (I rated it an 8.5). I just expected more. The twists and turns weren't as impactful as I would have hoped. Nothing surprised me. I figured out who "Squid" was pretty early on, and the motive and the reasoning were something I saw in so many movies growing up; all I could do was sigh.

But as I said, the drama wasn't bad. Just predictable. The writing, fighting, and acting was good. The romance they could have kept thought. It wasn't needed at all. I felt zero chemistry between the leads. And that's crazy because Bai Jing Ting always has chemistry with his romantic counterpart no matter the amount of screentime.

If you're expecting this to be a replacement on his last loop drama, please reevaluate your expectations. They are not the same by any means.

I was crying buckets watching episode 14. Shen Wu and Lin Sa are Yu Yu's family. They may find him annoying at times but they really love each other. I think this was my favorite episode.

It was good. I liked how bold and feisty the FL was. It would have gotten a 10 out of me instead of a 8.5 if the FL would have poisoned the Emperor, Dowager, his concubines...the whole family. They were all just nasty and despicable. The number of times she saved their worthless behinds, only for them to want her instantly killed when she was obviously framed, was astonishing.

In his warped mind, I think he believed saying that would make her feel more comfortable. 🤣Like the way his mind works is truly astonishing.

"Don't be afraid, I'm not a good person." Is such an insane thing to say to a person you've tied up. The ML is completely unhinged. 🤣

And I don't know if that fight scene between the leads in EP 4 was meant to be spicy, but it was.
