Why did they play an absolute monarchy game in a constitutional monarchy system? The romance is fluffy and enjoyable, but the political logic and power play are damn lazy. Mind you, Prince Ian, by abolishing the constitutional monarchy, you will be more selfish than if you held that throne. You are not playing the hero here, but a joker playing a prank. When a system falls, the hungry wolves devour.
I am a bit confused about the episode 22 political plotting and what is really happening. Can someone explain…
I will just cover the bigger picture.
1. So ML have mentor Mr. Fu, where CYY (the ML) is his (Mr. Fu) top protégé. Everyone assume CYY is in his mentor side, and the mentor win the political battle when the young king ascend the throne.
2. The young king have no real power but built his own side at this point with only Ye Xian on his side.
3. CYY disagree with his mentor way to handle things. Mr. Fu used to put people first, but now that he has power, in order to put Mr. Fan (one of the old power but not significant) down and solidify power for himself, he even play with disaster grain, which CYY despise. And CYY refusal to marry the girl Mr. Fu chose for him (in order to solidify CYY in Mr Fu side, by refusing the match, CYY basically refuse to be in his mentor side as a whole). So this Mr Fu is displeased with CYY. And when the other guy from their side make a plan to both drag Mr. Fan and CYY down, he (Mr. Fu) pretend like he sees nothing.
3. After CYY out of the jail, it seems like he made up his mind to built his own faction.

I don't feel intentional, I feel like a highlighted expectation. His own sister cant even imagine that her brother not only have crush on the girl but being mad instead.
