I can't believe there are people who write reviews of a drama before it's over. Especially I can't understand…
The one commented 'too obvious solution...' Things like that, I feel like I need their brain (I wished they not just bluffing) because I am here wrecking my brain dead! ππ₯
The examination arc is so exciting!! Just finished ep 20 and cannot wait for good subs for ep 21 to be uploaded!…
You see the 19-21 episode truly shows how is it feels like when the emperor actively scheming. Like everybody moves. Literally everybody! Yet I still somehow can't grasp his full intention (not the major intention but the small ones like asking CPP to prove when he claimed willing to be a puppet). What an enigma π In many ways, I can see that the emperor somehow feels like the older, mature, and future version of FX. Many in this comment call him ruthless, and if he is indeed that good why not make a perfect country fair with justice and free from corruption? But I was wondering, is that how people usually think? I mean, he's the emperor! That title Emperor was there for a reason. He leads human beings and each individual is different. If he directly dictates his own wisdom, then we would call him a dictator. Therefore, it's wise of him to understand that he leads human beings with their own ideals and flaws. The fact that Da Qing is a prosperous country free from civil war is a prove that he has done his job quite effectively. I believe there was a time in his youth when he was as ideal and straight as any other youth, but eventually, he learned to be ruthless and became what he is today. The leader that's respected and feared by his followers yet lonely at the same time. Didn't we see FX grow into a similar kind of person? Although FX is still in training to be a more and more ruthless leader. I am personally fascinated by the Emperor's character and story together with FX's mother of course! I believe he is one of the best fictional Emperor characters I ever seen. Because his strength is not only being narrated but also proven by his actions.
I am glad that my dad is not as clever as the emperor. I wish not to play mind games with my dad and uncle whenever they don't feel like I am good enough π Imagine being Fan Xian, pushed into a mud puddle just because his elders think it's time for him to make it big. In a way that's so 'ma fan' π€£π€£π€£ poor FX! Cayoo!!
The second prince didn't poison Ye Qing Mei. Her death was a resolt of a revolt in the capital, coincendentally…
He did love her! But just like CPP said, she always be the one opposed him and have enough capability to cause danger. Ever seen any of emperor enemy alive without his permission to date?
"You'll get used to it eventually"That's the thing people don't understand about FX's character. He will never…
If I was somehow thrown in that universe, I would just behave like wan'er. I maybe have enough brain to understand their intentions, but I don't have enough to plan a scheme or counter measure their attacks. I'll live in peace, hope not to reincarnated as commoner or too high nobility. Just decent one in countryside π
What the heck! Even Guo Bao Kun's dad don't believe in his son competence π€£π€£π€£π€£π€£ He knew the best what a fool son he has. Also, Si Zhe's mom π€π€π€π€π€ well done ππ»
its the good ol' 'be careful what you wish for'. Poor Lai Ming Chengπ"The emperor's thoughts are deep" "The…
Ay, you are not that old yet, even if you are 80 it's fine as long as you still alive, go marry some billionaire and released that drama for us ππππ chayoo!!!
He killed that old man and his daughter from the brothel
No π of course not! Lol π I mean, all of them at least once in their life said things like 'for people'. But in the process we ought to admit that it's tough to be hero or stay true to your first ideals in a world surrounded by bigger pictures. I don't know, whatever version of FX in the end, I think he still would be interesting π
To the Audience that was disappointed with season 2,
The drama we love now has reached mid of season and it is safe to say that at least to this point, they doing exceptionally well.
Some may love season 1 more, including me when I watch other series, I do often favour the first season more than the latter.
It's rare for me to be satisfied with both seasons of a series. But when I watched Joy of Life 2 realisation came to my mind that I enjoyed and approached the S2 with a different attitude from the S1.
In S1, we or at least I, were caught off guard by how well-written and well-cast this drama is. We dig it in with almost zero knowledge about the story. So naturally the plot twist here and there thrilled our dopamine to its maximum excitement.
But in S2, we knew, we learned, we were familiar, and some even read the novel already.
It's harder to fulfil my parents' expectations than to surprise them with unseen achievements. I tried not to be the kind of parent that undermined my kids' hard work. Thus far, I've seen the production team have done their best and even better to present us with some Joy in this boring life (or maybe only my life that is quite boring π ) and I want to at least respect and appreciate them for their hard work. Because at least, they didn't turn this drama into a crappy 45 episodes of trash sold for advertisement
Like didn't FX's mom said through her letter in S1 that their world was created after the Earth Sixth Extinction and the old world was buried underneath. Do people forget there's a hint taste of Sci-Fi in JoL π
Just go watch some action drama then, this one require brain action to work
"I feel like this drama is getting boring. There are too many long dialogues in the drama, *there should be more action that will increase the interest in the plot*"
I copied your exact comment and *tagged* your denial
After hearing that he also want to complain about the emperor. I understood it was the end for Mr. Complaints.…
Honestly, bravery without boundary is plain idiocy. Would we say the same for someone that climbing skyscrapers without safety prevention in the name of dignity and bravery?
What an enigma π
