This time I made sure not holding a boiling cup of tea but I got choked by ice cube instead ๐ What an unexpected cave scene in ep 32 โบ I was kind of on off with Xie Wei red-flag, but at least his action was reasonable. He's a complicated man for a reason after all. Not some spoiled jerk act domineering entitled because raised by money. Another remarkable episode today ๐ฅฐ
๐ I just picked this drama up yesterday and decided to watch the one on WeTv YouTube first. I watched on WeTv based on my country's channel not an international one and hell the comment section was so sick ๐คฎ There is one saying "The story is good but the FL does not fit the character. She's rather ugly. If only the FL was a glee&joy kind of lady it would be better. Someone like Dilireba or Zhao Lusi would be better" ๐คฏ Don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with Reba and Lusi, both are amazing actresses but the comment was so ๐
I feel like the drama is good enough, I'm at ep 3 so nothing I could say yet. But by far, I think the FL play it well. Although sometimes 'come on! You are at a war, was that silly bickering all the time really necessary?' thought comes to my mind. I'll keep watching then...
Ep 30, 11.23 pm local time A lady in her mid 20s bumped her table and caused ruckus while laughing uncontrollably for a damn hilarious scene of a ML that secretly kissed the FL but get busted by soon to be Father in Law ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ
Seriously, I was drinking a cup of tea and pour it all over me ๐ญ I was just done shower and closed my busy day with a great drama and cup of tea but now I need to shower all over again ๐ damn it! At least, my heart content and happy ๐ Ep. 30 indeed deserved my midnight showers lol ๐
Hahaha I am a red-flag lover in the fiction you know, but I don't want this one ๐คญ Whoever wrote those sexist line and think it's cute and whoever requested it to happen so, truly need a therapy. Or maybe it's me the one need therapy for finishing this drama just to justifiably mocked it ๐
If you think Zhang Zhe's character is too two-dimensional and too fictional, you are far from right. Because indeed there are people who are radically too straight like him (in their beliefs, not sexual orientation ๐) And I tend to avoid that kind of people. Because their idiotic stubbornness is harmful to me ๐ Being blindly believing in truth and justice and radically firm on it to the point where the individual with those traits believes others must have the same value as him is as toxic as a ridiculous old school teacher that punishes us for questioning their teaching method and deems us as morally disable. The tree that doesn't bend, breaks! And his portrayal thickly layered the story very satisfactorily. I still don't like his character whether in fiction or real life. But I understand the necessity of that stubbornness. When my opinion is very personal, I despise the narrative of the 'perfect wise man' it drives. I have loved writing fiction ever since I was a child, yet I never had any bravery to write that kind of character. Because it's an annoyingly complex character I refuse to understand. ๐
Just curious but what's the problem you see with NIF that turns you off
Yeah, I agree that NIF 1 is good the story is well written. But once again, art is very personal form of pleasure. Need certain variables that often different from one individual to another. At this point of time, I just give up with NIF 1. Maybe once day when the mood is right and the passion is strong, I would picked it up again and find it more enjoyable than before. Just like this JoL, at first when I saw the poster I found it unappealing. Who knows it ended up being one of my most favourite drama? I even patiently waiting for it for almost half decade ๐คฃ
Just curious but what's the problem you see with NIF that turns you off
I don't like NIF too. Not because the story was not good or the acting is bad. I just know it a bit later and the hype was up but I found the drama couldn't matched it. The pace and the mood is too slow for me and I just can't. I tried to watch it couple of times but always dropped it even before reaching the middle of the story. Although, I quite enjoy the second one lol ๐ I wonder too why I couldn't bare watch the first one.
I actually LOVE JoL but I got stuck because it's so long and some characters I love didn't make it to the second…
It soo good that as a drama watcher for more than two decades and mostly korean dramas and I have watch alot of spectacular movies and dramas, yet JOL is my one best favourite despite being new to Chinese dramaland. I began to watch Chinese drama for the last three or four years anf for that long too I have been waiting for its second season ๐
Seriously, I still don't understand what's about the untamed make it so popular?? I have tried to watch it till the end, hold my boredom and finger on their place and failed to understand.๐
Whoaa epic! It's legit the best drama I watched in the last two years. ๐ except the slow down romantic reminiscing in the tunnel when they literally chased ๐คฃ what the heck ๐ love is everywhere even in chaotic war. Ep 7 is my favourite of all ๐ it just tasty! I am not a fan of gore but I just close my eyes a second and enjoy it later ๐ Great work!!!
I believe Huanyu's plan to use the Infinite Fire was also firmly rebuffed by the elders. It's not just the SW's…
If you seen the story as perfect, I truly envy you ๐ there's some downside of having critically active brain ๐ if only I could get rid of mine once in a while
Honestly, I truly wanna kidnapped the writer and scream at him/her "Wei shen me?????? ไธบไปไน???? Whyyyyy????" ๐ค I mean, the cinematograph is top-notch! The directing and acting were outstanding! It is lavish beyond expectation. The pace and music were well-supporting. The screenwriting was decent. But the plot ๐ฅฒ it could be better! If only! If only they had a bit more logic, the drama would be the best of the best!
I like that the story has each of the backstories of the characters. They were created as human beings and I could sense and understand their point of view, their action, their hatred and their passion. There's no such annoying character even in Wufeng (except the cameos at the end war). Until Gong Huanyu's resurrection. ๐ I just can't understand his actions at all! Maybe because of the limited screen time to engage with his story.
I mean what do you mean Huanyu have to fake his death and plot such a ridiculous lengthy scheme when he could just kill the leader in a much better way without faking his death and become the leader himself? You mean he can manipulate Wufeng and Gong to such an extent but he can't plot a scheme where he kills the leader without killing himself? Wouldn't it become more efficient to ignite blind anger from the Gong family over the leader's assassinations, be the leader himself for he is already in line, and manipulate the Gong to use the fire for revenge? It's not that hard to hide a piece of stamped letter, which would be a great plot twist in the end.
And Gong Ziyu ๐ฅฒ I never see any protagonist as useless as him ๐ All he has in his life is luck! As if he overcame the struggle to be strong along with the story and have the most character development. But what do you mean by writing him as a smart/clever character when he knows nothing and kept knowing nothing about the Gong until a couple of last episodes of the story when he became a super strategist out of nowhere? ๐ช But I truly love Yun Weishang (is that her name? ๐). All the spies from Wufeng that infiltrated the Gong truly played well. They were not empty evil villains, they were human with their story and I love it! I even love the teenage side of Who's that the poison master? Haha ๐ he was annoying sometimes but I don't hate him. Knowing that he truly is still a teenager, the actor captured and played it well. And you see, how the Gong is described as strong and powerful that the spies hesitate to attack and Yun even mention that she might not be able to handle the First Sister, but the fact that the First Sister really know nothing but weapon ๐ I love her character tho! It is just too much description/tell and not show! What a waste of good action scenes in there! I cried over the plot. They even spent one episode summing up Huanyu's story ๐คฃ everybody gathered and quietly listened to the teacher's life story ๐.
Luckily despite my dissatisfaction over the plot, it is still quite decent and watchable not the unbearable terrible like the'Hero'. Maybe because I put high expectations since the beginning seeing how great it was... Still, I enjoy it a lot. Especially Yu and Qian's (sorry if I put the wrong name, they were the two main spies in the story) interaction. Love every second of it! Worth watching! ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ
No offence for Go A Ra she's wonderful, but personally I could not enjoy her couple last work. Maybe since the Hwarang one. โบ Although their rating is quite good. I am just the weird one hehe
Beccause it was your first watch the TW and the story told or watch once is enough, for us first time watchers…
Well it still a praise for the original writer. Because after all no matter which one version viewer enjoyed, the plot creator still the same . I had watched untill el 4 atm and it's pretty much similar at most of the story.
