I just watched 3 episodes and can't help but to drop it off. First episode leave positive impression for me with question mark and half raised eyebrows hanging out on my face. Second and third episode was a total disaster.
It's a problematic old troupe story that aims the serious paths yet done prematurely. On my personal opinion, my dissatisfaction hold me tighter for my high expectations.

Let's say that first episode was done properly, minus the scene where FL act so unprofessional by distracted during her concert and make such stupid mistakes. It may bothered me more personally because I'm passionate about classical music.

But, on the second episode when ML contact the patient personally without any discussion with his fellow doctor was successfully irritated me. So damn unprofessional! Yet he never make any clear explanation but his own assumption, where it supposed to be communicated with his fellows first before informing the patient directly. Not to count how the character mean to described as one competent doctor with a mental/traumatic problem, but how then through the story the ML character developed to a doctor that constantly questioning his fellows as if he the only one allowed to have correct solution in the story and all the other doctor formulated as a bunch foolish rabbit hole can't think for the right. The stupidity continue to the third episode.

I put aside unnecessary story of supposed to be second lead couple that comes out of nowhere.
So bad that I do really love the trailer, the opening, the ambience, the color grading, and the synopsis 😂 but it did really frustrated me.

I remember that I watched it with my grandmother every evening when I was so young. Everytime the Onara song played I would run to my granny house to watch it with her because my dad won't allow me to watch it at home and force me to do my hw 😂

Personally, I won't try to analyse drama based on the first two episodes. It naturally stroke me with excitement. The pace is rather fast as if they were in a race to reach the point and doesn't want to waste any time for introduction and that's my cup of tea. Though I also feel classic and boring, especially with Cha Woo In's introduction. I'm not a fan of Cho Bo ah and never really captured by any of her performances. So her actions scene in the first episode caught me off guard (I don't watch the trailer ) and for me, that's the turning point, where the excitement start to flow.
There were many classic plots in our drama industry and it's called a trend. So even though it's one of many revenge stories out there, luckily I didn't feel that comparison. Well, maybe after reaching half or more of the series then I will come back and left some more in-depth reviews and opinions. For now, it is worth my time.

So, I watched Royal Feast first till eps 16 and read the comments here full of this Yanxi Palace. I was long know about Yanxi Palace, but intimidated by the number of the episodes, so I didn't watch it.

Four days ago, I finally decided to watch it. That damn 70 episodes had successfully ruined my sleep and work 😂 but I satisfied! I cried so hard when both Fucha siblings dead. Then jumped up to this Royal Feast after hear Wei Yingluo and Fuheng promise to meet in another life, I'm melted 😆

I am so sorry. Despite it's such a good drama and I adore LBW as a historical figure/ character since Six Flying Dragon, but what happens with the horse was unforgivable. It disgusted me for days. I can't continue to watch this drama anymore.

I scrolled down to the comments and realise that it's the era where many people get their knowledge from drama were both good and dangerous.
Long as I remember during my school days drowning myself on mapping the cloud, chlorophyll, ocean surface temperature, etc, and spending days back and forth to BMKG office didn't look any cool like that 😌 well that's another notice, I didn't put much attention on its technical dialogue since I want to enjoy it, but nothing obviously misinformed detected yet.
For the first episode, I hate the FL character so bad! Sorry to say that, but never once I didn't enjoy PMY's work. Even that slow pace drama she played with Seo Kang Joon, I still love it. Just this time, it's intolerable. Her acting was on points and I could feel her anxiety. What I dislike was the character. Rather than insecure or fearful, she more described like a coward and incompetent. For someone that works as professional for many years, it could understandable that she makes mistake, but the fact that she kept silence, shattering in the back like a fragile glass cabinet, hiding behind her boss that she pitted so further being the reason of the mistake, and keep acting like a dignified lioness making the character hateable. As if it's not enough, not silence her phone on meeting and let her personal life intervene her professional life was a big no-no. Especially on the point of how the weather forecast portrayed at beginning of the drama. It influence many and possibly cause damage! Make her lack of responsibility awareness of her work.
Actually for me, the plot was rather classic. Conflict was created without any logical reason. It made just for the FL and the ML had an argument for then dragged it to the plot of 'whoa he's actually good' such of things. I bet from the second episode on, the FL would began to show her bossy-dignified strong character with slight anxiety which was so classic. I think I would watch one or two more episodes before decide to dropped it or not.

Me myself is an agnostic but very familiar with legend and myths. So, when watching something like this, I like to put it on the 'legend' or 'myth' perspective, which is a fictional realms supposedly. Like disconnect the connection between my brain and my idealism. Only then I can wonder to the drama/film creators mind and digging into their intentions. For me that's interesting.

Well, despite my adoration for both main character, I still dropped it after more than half series. The acting was good, especially Wi Ha Joon that portrayed the character in an outstanding perspective, it has tons of potential. But the story itself had failed to fascinate me to the point that I see no worth spent my time on it.

In about last two episodes, I watched it in silence. How then somehow the moral value that's been buried all along comes to surface. I realise, how precious is positivity. Feels like, I've been in both Chen and Huang's shoes. Sank in the deepest abyss, filled with sadness and loneliness to then raised in what I said 'glory'. Cause I'm one that lucky enough to found myself and worth in my life. Still, seeing Chen Yuru on the state that once I was, emotionally damaged me 😂. It's a masterpiece, let alone that thick layered storyline.

Actually, maybe because there isn't any right way to translate 'Kawas' in English else than 'God'. But, it doesn't literally mean God, except for the Kakarayan. Well, it's preference tho. But for me, Rainless love indeed an exceptionally satisfying work. There's no actual villain in the end, the dialogue is so breathtaking, and the mess caused by the romance plot doesn't really bother. But I agree, it should not be just a romance story. Though, I won't compare it with someday or one day. Because both stand on different genre. Even though, both also have many layered story.

I was laughing hard in the end when they started dancing. It's 2:39 am and i'm dead inside! I love Ethan Juan so bad, why should messed up like this??? Why???? Lol im done! At least no more ridiculousness for tomorrow

I burst into laughter in the end. I mean, if you can have budget to hire those dancer, why not just spent it to make better script? Or at least better soundtrack!
The drama was started on very promising and decreased in every episode. The ending was much like middle school-me writing my love story, I'm disappointed, really 😶
