No No No I love Lee Rang he is my favorite character in all this series, and adding a love line is so good we…
This is what i am so so afraid of - that we get all this character development and then the writers will just take it away. Just let the future change, dammit! That's one of the many benefits (and often the whole point) of time travel stories! Rang better not forget what happened, or I'll go ballistic. I want Yeon to tell Rang more about the future, specifically about Imoogi returning and how Rang will be used to bring him back.

My guess is that Kato is a Gashadokuro, a giant skeleton yokai that is formed from the bones of those who died…
He seems more interested in brainwashing them into serving Japan in the war. At least that's what I'm getting from all that he's said so far. He's having Korean 'demons' captured and he's experimenting on them in hopes of turning them into living weapons.

Also, thank you! I love Tantai Jin and Susu.

do i have to watch the first nine taled to understand this one or is it a completely different story?
You don't have to watch season 1, as the first episode of this season has a brief recap. However, if you want to get more invested in the brothers' relationship, i'd recommend at least watching the parts of S1 that focus on them.

For people who didn't watch American supernatural Tv show, the director and writer of this drama did and I bet…
So what you're saying is that Jang San Beom is actually Gabriel the archangel...hm. A guy that likes lots of women, likes to play tricks on people...it tracks!

Is Kato a Kitsune? Or he's another kind of demon?
My guess is that Kato is a Gashadokuro, a giant skeleton yokai that is formed from the bones of those who died in battle or famine. The Gashadokuro hunt people, biting off their heads; they relish in the resulting spray of blood, this being what satiates them most. Gashadokuro are supposedly indestructible and capable of invisibility too.

My guess is based on just two things that have happened so far in the drama:
1) Kato's reaction when blood splashed on his face as the villagers were slaughtered
2) Yeon smells a strong scent of blood on him, and warns Kato that he should stop eating humans.

Another possibility, though slightly less cool, is that he's an Onihitokuchi, a one-eyed ogre demon who loves to eats people.

I feel same too
We know that Taliupa says Yeon himself can't have an impact on the past (whatever that means, he's clearly already killed a bunch of Japanese soldiers and whatnot), but maybe because he brought Yeon to the mermaid, the mermaid can change his future, because she's not a time traveler who does not belong in the era?

I think in Lee Yeon's case it's kind of like that thing of "I did you wrong so I am allowing you to hate me but…
That's why I always was frustrated with S1 Lee Yeon. Rang was always so ready to hear Yeon explain himself - he was desperate for his brother to say anything that could give him an opening to forgive him. Rang lashed out because Yeon was constantly acting disinterested and even mocking, and refusing to apologize for leaving Rang behind. Yeon also kept admitting he abandoned Rang, and then out of nowhere in the dream world he's like "you should have figured this out, dummy, you're alive because I couldn't kill you, and I never abandoned you." Except, he did? He wasn't there for Rang for most of his life. But still Yeon's like, "why are you so fixated on me?" Well, maybe because you failed to take into account how traumatized your brother is, and how you are the most important person in his life?
I mean, sure, we find out in the Rang side story episode that Yeon would still protect Rang secretly (at least while he was still a young child) after leaving the mountain, but what about after that? We know from S2 that by 1938, Yeon was a pathetic and addled opium addict that Shin Joo was EMBARRASSED to serve. Yeon certainly wasn't in any state of mind to look out for his brother for the entire Japanese occupation (a 35 year span, btw).

This episode was great! Finally, Lee Rang knows his own future. Of course, Moo Yeong made it sound like Yeon was only using his brother, but from the lovely hug in the trailer that we have yet to see in the actual drama, and since it looks like Yeon will be putting his life on the line again to save Rang in Ep 8, I'm sure the misunderstanding will be cleared up fast.

FL (Hong Joo) likes ML (Lee Yeon) but cares deeply for SML (Moo Young). SML loves FL.

Ok, I am curious now because I want to understand you guys. Why do people think Lee Rang's romance is forced or…
Piggybacking off of this, Lee Rang is so emotionally closed off that he doesn't want to admit when he cares. Case in point: he attacks his brother in episode 1, but even though he's angry he really doesn't have any intent to kill Yeon - he backs off when Yeon takes the hit from his axe because he expected his brother to dodge it, and is even worried because Yeon is being so nice that Rang thinks he's seriously hurt or dying. Rang's emotional defense response is to reject and pull away because he's afraid of opening himself up to caring, because he's been so badly hurt before. It's no surprise then that his relationship with Yeo Hee is moving so slow - he's literally never liked a girl before. His only close relationship was with his brother, so that's his standard for liking someone.

I am watching first season and hasn't completed yet. Can you tell me if first season ended on a open note or with…
Chinese sequels with fantasy dramas tend to do a reset/retelling of the first season, I've noticed. Take The Eternal Love 2, or My Girlfriend is an Alien 2. I'm almost afraid that if this does happen, they'll just redo season one but with a change in the plot somehow, like maybe the ML is aware and the FL isn't.

I thought episode 6 was a little slower than the previous ones, though I liked the creepy ghost element, and setting up the next arc with Moo Young revealing himself to Yeon. However, I really felt the lack of Rang in this episode :'( He didn't have very many scenes, and I was a little sad that neither he nor Shin Ju ever found out about Yeon nearly dying.

I personally think is Lee Rang because the way the camera shot switches to Lee Rang when the carrot man said that…
You may be right. But in my mind, for Yeon the fact is that right now he has his flesh and blood brother in front of him, one that he can touch and spend time with, and knows him. This Rang needs his brother too. Yeon's already reluctant to leave him - he even said this episode that he's uncertain if he can leave Rang behind. And if the writers are sticking to the ending of S1 (an ending where I still cry bullshit), then Rang will reincarnate as a human with no memories of Yeon. I can see how Yeon's resolve can be shaken. And there's no one else (that we know of) that Yeon is grieving. Maybe it's Moo Young, but we don't know enough about what happened between them and why to say that Yeon is grieving Moo Young.

I was thinking this too. Yeon isn't grieving Ji Ah, but he is grieving for his dead brother. How will that lead him astray, I wonder.

Title Tale of the Nine-Tailed Spoiler
I am on episode 7 and I find it difficult to watch. I just couldn't get on board with it. I am only watching it…
It depends on who you ask, but personally I don't think the drama got any better in the 2nd half. The only thing that kept me going was Lee Rang and the secondary couple of Shin Joo and Yu Ri, because the main couple just wasn't doing it for me. Honestly, I'd say finish it at least once if you're invested in the secondary characters. If that's not enough of a motivation, then just move on to season 2.

whats with kissing underwater before saving someone? like bruh
I'm assuming the kiss was her transferring oxygen into his lungs. That's what I've always assumed with underwater kisses with mermaids ever since watching the Hook movie with Robin Williams. In that film there's a scene where he's tied up and falls into the sea, but three mermaids "kiss" him, giving him oxygen so he can survive to reach the surface.
