Person Lee Do Hyun
Am I the only one who thinks Lee Do Hyun looks similar to EXO's Chen?

Typical patriarchal and sexist drama that is ingrained with sexismGood things first, I simply love the cast of…
Just want to point out that the writer was a woman. You can find that out by checking the MDL page for the drama.
And I'm sure emotions are always logical and make sense, right? Women have never liked guys who were definitely bad news, right?
Not trying to argue with you, but the fact is that people are not always so logical when it comes to matters of the heart.

it is taking me an insanely long time to finish this drama because it's painfully boring
I fast-forwarded anything that didn't have the 2ML by the end, because his character and development was more interesting than the ML.
On Tale of the Nine-Tailed Season 3 Jul 22, 2023
Hopefully we will get news in the next few months about whether season 3 is confirmed. Though I'm only interested if Kim Bum is returning to reprise his role as Rang. He was the only reason I came back to the series for season 2, and his happy ending was everything to me.

Not so far vampire elements are minimal only shown in first episodes i dont know maybe it will increase in second…
Thanks! I think I'll wait until the drama finishes airing to decide if I want to watch the rest of it.

I've watched four episodes and it hasn't clicked for me. I've not really found the humor very funny, and the vampirism fantasy element, which is what initially drew me to this drama, has been very limited aside from episode 1. Can anybody tell me if it gets better if I keep watching?
On Trick or Love Jul 19, 2023
I loved Behind Your Smile, so I love to see that Marcus and Eugenie are starring in another revenge drama - though this one is framed as a rom-com than a melo.
On Save the Last Dance for Me Jul 4, 2023
It's an almost 20-years-old drama and therefore full of cliches, including a double amnesia plot (male lead gets knocked on the head and forgets his old life, then later loses his memory of the whole time he spent with the FL, including his own wedding!), an outrageously jealous 2FL, and a 'poor girl from the country' FL. However, maybe it's just because I love Ji Sung and his acting is always a pleasure to watch, but this drama is special to me and I have watched it twice and bought the DVD set. Also the OST is really enjoyable as well. Give My Love by Edward Chun is a classic:

I really enjoyed this show apart from the 2FL, Soo Hyeon. I thought she was ridiculously idealistic for a cop living in a dystopian country. Like, idealistic to the point of idiocy; she made me so angry sometimes with her very black and white views on what is right and wrong. Even in cases where she was technically right, it just wasn't a realistic expectation. She was an ineffectual cop and a boring love interest. I felt no chemistry between her and Ga On. I was really honestly relieved when she died, because she was more of an obstacle to the story writing than a vehicle to carry it forward. Her brief romance with Ga On was such a waste of time, and only served to create a pointless wedge between Yo Han and Ga On.

Who Is 4th mountain God?
He's only in season 1, and only for one episode. He decided to no longer protect humans and protect spirits instead, which is probably why he doesn't show up in Season 2 - he doesn't care much for humans.

no but if the brothers sorted their relationship then the whole season 1 does not make sense because as far as…
I personally take Taluipa's words with a grain of salt, considering she's literally contradicted herself and gone back on her word a few times, and also straight up lied and disguised the truth from Yeon before. My guess is, IF she was telling the truth (and that's a big if), it may be that she was referring to Lee Rang's death when she said the reality Yeon will return to won't change no matter what he does. Maybe other details might change, like whether the brothers were on good terms or not, but maybe Imoogi's return and Yeon's and Rang's sacrifices were inevitable. After all, Rang's contract with Imoogi's servant is still in play even in this new timeline, and so he might be forced to help with Imoogi's return in spite of his own wishes. It really all depends on the writers at this point.

Nam Ji Ah appeared as a guest role, it means less romance in this season?
Romance takes a lesser role in this series, as it focuses more on fantasy, mythology, bromance, and action. Lee Rang gets a love line, and it's very cute, but it's not the main focus of the story.

The only thing I truly hated in this drama (aside from the mom's screeching manner of talking whenever she opened her mouth) was the ML's bout with Noble Idiocy in episodes 18 and 19. I wanted to reach through the screen and slap him so many times as he dug himself into a miserable hole of despair and made everyone else around him miserable as he pushed them away. Having to watch that for the span of almost two hours was really frustrating.

And one thing that confused me was why the murder that Kang Chil was originally framed for happened in the first place. I don't think it was ever clarified why Min Ho (the dead guy) stabbed Kang Chil, or why Chan Gul and Yong Hak both stabbed Min Ho. Like, what was the motivation? Why were they even under that bridge in the first place? Were Yong Hak and Chan Gul both planning to kill Min Ho? Why did they both bring big kitchen knives?

But I loved the relationships between the characters, which was really this drama's strength.
On Hospital Playlist Season 2 Jun 18, 2023
Season 2 wasn't quite as good as season 1, IMO, but it was still a solid series. Towards the end, the episodes kept getting longer and longer, which was a little exhausting because the last 3-4 episodes were each 2 hours or more, longer than a typical full-length movie. I thought that they could've spent a little less time on the surgeries (which I personally found boring) and more on the relationships between the doctors and families of the patients. I thought they did better with this in season 1.

On Sunday Kim Bum posted a heartfelt message on Instagram, saying goodbye to his character and expressing how much he loved playing Lee Rang . It was a message he wrote back in December 2022 when filming for season 2 was just finished.

Any confirmation yet?
According to an article on the Korean news site Nate, Tale of the Nine Tailed is in talks for the production of season 3, and all the lead actors answered positively when asked if they were interested in returning. Nothing confirmed yet, but it is being discussed.
