I can't continue this - I have to demote it to "scan for shirtless scenes." It was the piggy-back ride that killed…
I think you pretty much got everything that I picked up on in this ep and series. It is fantastically lazy writing and directing. The cinematography and sound production is good and the acting is what I would expect form newbies and who they cast anyway. But its going nowhere fast and the reactions of the two main characters to each other did not make sense. It is ironic that a show about writing a good movie is itself sub standard. Only a few more eps and I have gotten this far. The only thing keeping me coming back is the inevitable conclusion and I do like the actors, even if the story itself is rather painful to watch. And also that cotton candy .... are people in that universe that stupid or do they have special cotton candy that won't burn into nothing?
Episod 10 is so messy... 😥 I feel bad for the actors. Most of them are great but the show is awfully directed.…
Same. The writing and the productions and directing is kinda bad. Also I really HATE the midi music. Everything is so cheap and corners are cut. I can't fault the actors at all though. I don't understand the Pie and Phet relationship at all and nothing they say to each other makes sense. This episode made me feel like they are trying to go for a UWMA style story again. Ugh.
I don't know why it took me this long to realise that this story was more about a team of movie producers than it was about anything to do with an alternative universe. Seriously, this story could literally happen back in the real world without all the body swap. I thought I'd get more of a sci-fi drama not this standard tropey drama about creating movies. I will finish it since I am already this far but really it's getting too much now. Plus even though it is nice to see cameos from GMMTV stars we haven't seen in a while, it is getting a bit silly now too as it feels like they are just trying to hide substandard writing with nostalgia.
all of my favourite dramas always have the most unhappy mdl comment sections - when it comes to BLs I can honestly…
This is the first time I am quite shocked with all the hate for a drama. I feel MDL reviews get it right most of the time in the comments so I can generally know if I will like certain aspects of a show or not pretty accurately. I speculate that most negative comments may come from the age gap relationships and the other is that the story is not moving fast enough. Perhaps some is that they are not used to Japanese style. But for me, I think the story is moving as fast as it should given the nature of the age gap relationship and I personally feel more comfortable that Akira is taking his time to really work out his insecurities and feelings about a younger person and older person before anything further develops. I think he is being quite responsible and mature in that regard even if he is shy and scared. He is also ensuring Shin does not get distracted and let his grades drop at this crucial time for a teenager. Akira knows what it is like to be 18 as is evident by his own current situation from when he was 18 and thus wants Shin to have a bright stable future. Perhaps some people have read too many erotic yaoi mangas and are expecting this to be similar to that and are getting a bit pent up frustration? Who knows.
Not sure if I am the only one, I have rewatched most of the episodes once again and it started to grow on me further,…
Yeah its pretty obviously they are doing one of those "we met when we are kids so we are fated" type of storylines. Sun still has a weird foot fetish and Khim still has big feet. Ugh. We are just over half way through and the meat of the drama hasn't even happened yet. There is something up with that lady and Rain/ business and something with that villa they want to buy but we haven't even scratched the surface 9 eps in! Talk about slooooow.
They are far enough away from Bangkok that she needs to take a flight home. Whatever "city" she drove to to make…
I mean, she is a famous director so she could have easily hired from her own agency or something is what I am going with. I don't know what 18 year old boy would like that style though. Cringe.
Just finished the first episode and am not sure if i want to sit for the rest.Love the dialogue between the mum…
The chemistry probably comes from the fact that the boy looks like the friend he was in love with as a college student and the boy was attracted to his dad's friend from all the pictures he had of him. It is weird but its only 8 eps so we shall see.
I can't stop thinking about poor In, he was living his best life, the dream of every introvert, a beautiful house…
On one hand I also felt this especially given the mother's personality and too high energy. But on the other hand I know there is symbolism here to the plot so I will go with it for now.
