Okay.. I liked it, don't get me wrong. It was well made and looked really pleasing, all the characters were likeable…
What do you mean but "actual series" because Long Time No See is a series too...

I watched this and couldn't help thinking this was a cheap version of Pond and Phuwin even the storyline was a little Fish Upon the Sky-esque. It was okay but nothing to write home about. Standard fare with a pointless 12th episode.

This was really well done. Quite mature story telling and a far cry from the simple romance BLs where its all about the quick romance and not about the deeper feelings and discovery and coming to terms with emotions and feelings. I was worried to read about the crying but actually I didn't find it excessive and thought it was appropriate for the situations and things didn't drag on too long. I am not a big fan of Earth usually but he actually was suited to this role and played it well along side Santa who I am not very familiar with. Everyone did a great job with the weight of the feelings and the coming of age aspect.

I think the people who rated this low were actually expecting a romance. I think the ending was beautiful.
I agree. People just seem to want a ship rather than an actually story with some actual story telling and character development to show. For how short it is and budget, this was done really well and acted really well. Also it is interesting the the beginning of the story is actually a comic that we don't see in the show. We only see what happens when Choco and Milk complete the trials to become human. Very interesting and different type of story telling especially considering the subject matter being pets turned human, this could have gone really weird but it was really well done.

Everyone delivered really strong performances in episode 10, but once again Milk was my episode favorite.
At this point I think everyones favourite is Milk. The actor did a brill job.

I mean, it was pretty obvious at the time what was going on and thus lots of people complained while those shows were airing about the rape and non-con assaults.
Low on sex scenes these days? What have you been watching? LOL To me they have amped those scenes up! History series, Cutie Pie, KinnPorsche , Dont Say No etc.

But relationships are much healthier these days and their portrayal of other members of the LGBTQ+ community is becoming more respectful. Those "fairy" characters always left a bad taste in my mouth but you don't tend to see such offensive use of transgender people as a comedic trope anymore.

Yes, I only ever watch Ae&Pete when I go back to this and occassionally TinCan so it remains good in my eyes. I don't like to think about everything else that was so problematic.

what is the connection between this and tharntype?
TharnType happens before LBC ? But there is no Tharn in LBC? How does that work? I can't remember and I skip most of that Tum Tar storyline coz its yucky and irritating.

True, old BLs used to be so toxic and problematic but we still watched them. I think the writers are listening to viewers though and they tend to be getting a little less toxic these days. Less rape for sure so far. I loved Ae and Pete's chemistry and that is all I watched. Although I would have loved a better execution of TinCan because the books make them look adorable even if a little non-con at the beginning, but in the show it was awkward between the actors. I skip most things except AePete scenes because that whole TechnoKla situation was nasty. I also hated the TumTar storyline. MAME sure is a little cray cray.

Good series. Just don’t understand why they didn’t just call the cops. That would’ve solved a lot of things,…
Neither would want to risk either of them getting hurt and Jae Woo didn't know that Ji Hoon knew about his ending until it was too late. The police turned up really quick to the scene judging by the sirens, so I guess he did call the police before going but they were too late. Probably how they caught the culprit so quickly too, because they were given a tip.

honestly I think a 'happy ending' wouldn't work for this drama, it is just too unreal and would look so forced…
I took it to mean alternate time lines because the kid from the past has to also grow up and go through the same rotation as when he is older and returned to his own time line to continue his life. That is what the letter understood would happen and that is what they showed. He always will find himself back in 2007 and the kid from the past will always have to grow up and go back fifteen years again. In a way it is rather beautiful. They will forever spend three weeks together. Through all that pain and years of hurt just for three weeks eternally. Meanwhile his older self has closure and can move on with the memories they shared and he is able to shed the guilt he felt.

Oh goodness I really hope there is no romance in the second season. Like in Vicenzo it was really annoying that they really pushed for that romance angle even though it didn't work. Sometimes friends should just be friends. Also both of them have so much trauma, neither of them should support each other on that and hold a romantic relationship. I did feel like they were trying to open that door with them but like only she had a one sided crush. But if they bring in the right female romantic partner then maybe it could work. Someone new.

Title Taxi Driver
Maybe if people like her spent more time on bringing justice to the victims on 1st place there wouldn't be a need…
Seriously? It is the job of law enforcement to catch criminals and prosecute them and stop other people doing criminal things. She was well within her remit to find missing people whether they are good or bad people. Just like doctors treat patients whether they are criminals or not. The whole point of the show is about exploring those blurred lines. When does justice become a criminal act and it explores a whole bunch of moral and ethical issues around social justice, the judicial system and the human elements of loss and trauma and revenge. She actually knew very little about what is going on compared to what we, the audience knows throughout the show. Do Gi never told her anything, so she is working off her assumptions and evidence. She has no idea if someone killed those missing people or not but it is still her job to know where they are. The law has rules and her character is a device used to explore those rules - when they are bent and when they aren't and the morals and ethics of it. We see her as a young idealistic person at the start of her career rejected from her career time and again for her idealism until they broke her into someone who is a stickler for the rules but very good at her job and getting justice herself. Through meeting Do Gi she starts to question her beliefs and values and he reminds her why she wanted to be a prosecutor in the first place. This gives us an opportunity to see the injustice in justice but also why the law exists in the first place. Every character at some point questions what they are doing and why they are doing it. What is revenge and what is justice and when do they become criminal acts in itself and cross that line.
Life is not black and this show isn't as simplistic - good vs bad (though surface level it could come across that way if thats all you are interested in) - and when you get older you will understand it all a little better. I mean, where do you get the idea she doesn't bring justice? She has a high prosecution rate so she is very good at her job, but in the justice system, it is not her that passes judgement and theres a lot that goes on behind the scenes and in the system that is questionable. Again - that is one of the points the show is trying to showcase. She herself uses everything in the law to get the evidence she needs to sentence criminals and get justice for victims through the court system.

Hana is a prosecutor, so why is she going around trying to catch criminals which would be more of a job for the…
I know right. In Kdrama land I think its more prestigious to be a prosecutor and there are very few female police officers ( also they and the police force are having some issues recently regarding recruiting females and their effectiveness and training in Korea) so I can see why they would not have a police woman but also annoyed that she isn't. She should have at least been a detective but I think there are just a a lot of issues and negative perception regarding females in the police force in Korea. Just what I have gathered from what I have heard in the news and stuff about this issue.

OMG this was so much better than the last atrocious drama they did. This was short but sweet. Very nicely done. I mean its very tropey and simple story but sometimes thats all you need. I wasn't expecting anything ground breaking in the first place. The only thing that kept distracting me was YSB poorly executed make up on his face and neck. Makeup artist did him dirty.
