Also, what the hell was that reaction? Is Aek homophobic?! The guy just tried his best to celebrate with him,…
I actually thought, and knew, from the beginning this is just a show for the main purpose of advertising products rather than the actual drama. I didn't mind so much at the beginning because I watched Ingredients: The Series with Jeff and Gameplay and they did the whole full length ad-like drama form pretty well. But now they've tried to make full episodes and its just awful.

Ugh the execution is very poor. I am all for villains having more backstory and stuff, but its just being revealed so randomly all over the place and there is only 3 eps left. I don't believe this story is from a manga though, it's from a novel I thought.
When Aue went to see V, the thought did cross my mind that he might sacrifice his body for Aek. lol. But this is a very sanitised show so I also knew they wouldn't go there. Maybe my brain was saying, if you gonna get crazy and give everyone a random personality change, then go all the way. lol

Nearly all of my predictions turned out to be true and things started to make even more sense after episode 9.…
There is a difference between slow-burning and slow. I have watched 50 episode drama that took 49 episodes for the lovers to come together without losing any sense of pacing or resorting to empty scenes or complete random change of character personalities. This isn't any new drama or innovative storyline. It's pretty predictable as its all standard fare - we've seen all these tropes before, time and again. The execution of it, however, is disappointing and shocking because it has all the talent (in front of and behind the camera) to make it a good show and still isn't hitting the mark. Making a scene that should be 1 minute long into 3 minutes is not a way to create a slow-burn love story. It is just extending minimal script and story to fit the production company's quota. 3 more episodes to go for them to reconcile and all to be hunky-dory again.

You know, there is nothing wrong with the cinematography, there is nothing wrong with the skill of the actors, there is nothing wrong with the storyline ( until ep 8/9 that is ), and yet will all these right ingredients, it still is really bad. That in itself must be some kind of skill - to be able to ruin something that has all the talents to go well.

True. It was so out of the blue! Like all that time spent together and getting to know each other counted for nothing. After the last episode I wanted to slap Aue to wake up and run a mile from this kid. Don't get involved in any of his messes. He was also so mean to his friends who just care about him for some strange reason.

I mean, did anyone else get super creep vibes from Aue when he went to see Aek and backed him in to his room by pushing open the closing door instead of leaving when asked to? Then you see a visibly frightened Aek being backed in the corner pleading for him to leave??! That was SOOOO weird and wrong on so many levels! Not cute at all! I have never seen this from the protagonist before. Usually the villain is this invasive so its okay to hate them but the male lead?! What were the writers and directors thinking? They already had that forced kiss which they talked about that being bad - okay good. But then turn around and do this?!

I really didn't get why this third villian is a villian. Because he had nothing to do with Aek hurting himself so really, he has no competition now so all he has to do is go and win. But now he pulls in a highly regarded and talented chef just to win? Does that even make sense? Bring in someone with more skill than you when if you just leave it, you can win anyway by default? I mean, he doesn't need to take Ae down because all he is really after is his father's hotels. I mean, nothing makes sense.

No - he didn't behave like that. This was all inserted to generate drama. I'm sure the writer is as disappointed…
They probably feel they can change it al lot because it isn't big novel. Whether it's from a novel or not though, it's terrible. It may have worked if they doubled the speed so they can do more character development and exploration and flesh everyone out properly, but this show is essentially just a carcass with random fillings that don't quite work together.

This show is so weird in that it seems like I should like it. It has all the right ingredients but incredibly poor cooking methods so the final dish leaves much to be desired. OMG its getting more and more frustrating! What are the writers and directors thinking? I have come this far so I will finish but geeeeez. I also recently realised that Aek is Kengkla from Love by Chance so I know he can deliver his lines MUCH faster than in this and has more energy and charisma. They really stripped him down to lack much personality. He is pretty much a shell of a character that smiles and has a sad face and nothing else. He's pretty horrible to his friends and everyone really. Ugh the more I think about it the angrier I get.
They are making Aeu into such a weird creep-o too!!

Can you consider it medically and policely/swatly (?) accurate?
Absolutely not. I really had to do my best to ignore all the inaccuracies and situations that would not happen in a hospital or on operations. Then only it became fun.

I put everything written by Chai Ji Dan in a category of its own and in another realm or reality. I love her characters…
Indeed, I think it was a thing of its time with BL writers as these stories have been around for a while before making it to TV I believe. I hope not to see such things again. Lovely Writer handled things well as a newer BL show, but also it was a kind of parody of the BL genre of tv shows so maybe that is why- but even then one of the pair manipulated the situation to get closer to his crush but he got found out and was told off for it so there was that.

I HATED Playful kiss. I wish it never existed or wish I could burn it from my memory. The most toxic and unhealthiest representation of a relationship I have ever seen! I cannot believe people (especially young girls) think this is cute and what an ideal relationship should look like!

Boys over Flowers started off promising and then she forgot she was a badass chick that doesn't allow anyone to control her and it got weird and depressing.

Honestly, this is an issue I noticed that is very common in Asian series, but it was most prevalent in C-Dramas.…
Yes I have also noticed the shift in KDrama's and I am here for it. CDrama's are still following the same old formula. However, TDrama's are also becoming more diverse in Hetero and BL storylines.

I put everything written by Chai Ji Dan in a category of its own and in another realm or reality. I love her characters and it does take getting used to because she is hella crazy in the stuff she comes up with. The worst thing in Heroin is the rape (in the book). I still skip over it every time I reread it.
But I agree, the title is Heroin: Addicted - so the crazy obsessive and non-consent of the pursuit is the point of the story.
I also agree, Tharn Type sat really uncomfortably with me. Not just how Tharn and Type got together, but also the whole Lhong story - what he did to Tar, what he then did to Tharn and Type, and then what Type did to Fiat in the sequel and Kengla also raping Techno, and none of it was ever addressed as a serious crime. But I do love Gulf and Mew's chemistry through.

Title Don't Say No Spoiler
Here are things I couldn't understand:- Leo agrees to Punn's condition, does Leo find Fiat weak/stupid, or rather…
1) He thinks he is protecting Fiat because he is that desperate to find out what King is up to that he flies into a blind rage and doesn't think straight. We have seen this before in previous scenes with King. He doesn't know that Punn is working to King yet and trusts she would tell him but didn't expect that she would backtrack.
2) Punn is working for King so she is supposed to sew discord between the two so she runs her mouth to see what sticks. If she "Wins" Leo, thats a bonus for her, but as we see in the episode she doesn't really care either way. She either win's him or she hurts him - doesn't bother her.
3) Its more convenient for the writers to get Fiat to King so that scene can happen. If Fiat didn't have that number they would have more work to do to write how Fiat ends up with King. I think its just for writer's convenience and nothing special. That's usually the deal in stories when things are too convenient and silly. It's just to push the plot along.

Are you sure you watch to the end? In the third tier of the serie, they have the third of each episode. Also,…
I agree. I enjoy watching BL stories too but some people are fetishising it to really unhealthy levels. This isn't a solely BL story and had they been a hetero second lead couple, they would have been given the same amount of screen time as well as been in the intro because the main couple are the main couple and the story revolves around them, not the secondary couple. I did not start watching this because there was a BL couple in it even though I watch BL a lot. I do enjoy Mark and Owen's storyline more than the main lead (It is just a more interesting storyline) but I'm not going to fetishize them and get over obsessed about BL not having more screen time when the story isn't actually about them.

I have to also agree that the drama is doing a pretty good job at representing a gay couple in a hetero storyline that will give more normalisation to the LGBTQ community as part of society and main stream media. In an ideal world, it shouldn't be either or, but a representation of a more diverse community.

Thai BL getting more predictable - or its just Mame.... Obviously this particular ploy with the girl is all staged to get Leo and Fiat mentally off their game so that the other basketball team can win. I'm not worried about them as a couple coz it will all end well anyway.

Because the guy wants to win the match so he's roped in a girl to create a situation that will throw Leo and Fiat off the game
