Xian Hua

well, by definition, xianxia drama = immortal heroes, is a fantasy genre based on Chinese mythology and the concept of chivalrous spirit. Immortal world usually is pair with human world and demon world - also known as three worlds. You need to understand more about Chinese mythology and what ancient Chinese beliefs. You can also watch it without taking it too serious - if you have strong faith you shouldn't be bothered with different beliefs. If this kind of show bothers you too much, well, don't think there is any xianxia story without demon. You can try imperial drama or wuxia - both are historical without the flying gods and demons.

hahaa knowing RJL and how so many dramas have been changed completely from the original novel, yea. I am not expecting too much. But I like mystery genre so I am loving this so far.

lol some people are just too sensitive. I am telling you since I started watching this drama and it has very minimal romance feeling and I am getting similar vibes of Strange Tale of Tang Dynasty. I don't read tags since I don't believe those tags, I prefer to watch it first. Since you only want kiss scene romance drama, you probably only get a peck in this one - knowing RJL and how this drama is going so far. I watched like 10 of his dramas and I only remember 3 dramas with memorable kiss. The rest are either a peck (doesn't count) or none. Lastly, I gave you the advise but I didn't tell you want to do lol - you do whatever you want sweetheart. I just think expecting a kiss scene from RJL drama is rather hopeless.

LOL I think you are the one being too sensitive. You came here to post something that you don't like and I say well, then don't watch it. What do you want to hear? He's going to get younger? Or she's going to get older? Most likely her character will grow more mature just like any other dramas, but if you think he's too old, then either you can continue watching and whining but not going to change anything into what you like, or save yourself and stop watching. Your choice :)

The English name of this drama is misleading - I don't know why they like to put "Romance" in everything, but this is more like a mystery solving drama rather than romance. The original drama name is Ban Xia which is the FL's name. So if I were you I would adjust my expectation knowing this is NOT a romance drama - think more like "Strange Tale of Tang Dynasty" which also takes in the same era. Little or minimal romance interaction. Nobody commented about about Yang Xu Wen did no kiss and of course people would scream that Ren Jia Lun would do no kiss. My advise is skip this drama even if you have nothing else to watch rather than watching and complaining for something doesn't fit in the story.

I am always a fan of his voice and sooo glad he used his own voice!

well, here's an advise, stop watching this and watch something else that more suitable for your taste.

Blood of Youth

Is there any other dramas like this - no not JOL I have watched S1 and S2 million times lol - Also watched BOY several times. Any hidden gems maybe? We might never see GotD S2 so I need something else.........

Joy of Life. So many aspects are similar. But yea, if you like JOL you will like this one.

For anyone who read the novel, how far is the drama ending in the novel? Half?

"his performances quite cold" lol because that is his roles. Do you expect him to be bubbly cheerful as Wei Zhao, or Chang Yi, or as Zhou Sheng Chen? That's not their personalities. He did play that "happy" role in Love a Lifetime which actually seems to be closer to his real personalities. If you ever watch any his BTS, you can see him goofing around with his other casts, so to me, being able to portrayed cold characters, show me his acting level. But we won't miss you if you decide to skip this drama :)

between Love or Blossom......😒

Between Good Bye, My Princess and One and Only, if this ending like any of those I am so going to be traumatic for life...😔

I feel he chose to be villain specialist, or the not-so-nice guy who build the grande scheme. But no matter what, no role can make me hate him more than Yan Shi Fan - Under the Power 😂 Good actor. I see a long list in his upcoming drama, I guess we'll see him more 😊

From a graceful cool powerful Li Han Yi, to a trashy jealous sister Mu Ran Wu - got to say Zhang Wei Na played both roles nicely done.

The twist between student-master-student (who's the student who's the master 😂) and amnesia over amnesia, made this drama more interesting than typical xianxia drama. After MM, so far 2025 started strong!

this drama has been resurrected but why do I feel still being treated like a plague...🙄

Did everyone dub with their own voice?
