Everybody Loves Misaki

This is a story about a teacher who is so pretty and kind that most humans (no matter what gender or sexual preference) seem to fall in love with her at first sight, she is also cool, kind the type who makes the people around her shine... And is probably one of the most human female leads in all of dramaland. Yes she has flaws, and goes though a bunch of stuff but there is just something about Misaki that wins over both the people in the drama as well as those watching it.

Even though Misaki is loved by all, she has this tiny little issue of being stuck in a society that has taught her to value monogamy above all , and well that puts her in a kind of painful and awkward situation when her husband decides to break it to her that his love for her is more of the platonic type (one could have guessed that a sexless marriage kind of may have that issue). But hope is the last thing to leave the wed woman... and well as long as there is love... However hubby is not really good at actually using words to communicate and rather likes to show her with actions instead... which is kind of being a total ****** ***** but then again it is hard to blame the dude as he indeed is a product of a heteronormative society...

Hubbys boyfriend on the other hand may be a tad oblivious to the society he lives in, but is just the cutest boy ever....

There are also a bunch of nice friendships, alcohol drinking, food and flirting... as I said there is something about that Misaki that makes everybody fall for, and well that is a pleasure to watch.

I also enjoyed the take this drama has on divorce.

Definitely a decent 10 episode binge. It may not make your heart flutter but it will make you think about stuff...

Cute and awkward

This is a really sweet drama about making friends and finding oneself while making a whole lot of mistakes with a pretty interesting love triangle keeping us wondering yet without to much anxiety (for me).

This drama is really sweet, not only plot wise but the whole set is color coded till it almost becomes absurdly obvious but sweet from the books in the library to the walls and umbrellas and even flowers all match in some way or another and I loved it!

The drama deals with internalised homophobia, admitting ones own feelings, jealousy, leaving your comfort zone as well as opens up the discussion about true kindness and bravery. All done with humour and cuteness, did I mention the drama is really sweet.

The main lead is just the most awkward sweety that keeps on handing out sweet sweet moments. The gun outside the triangle is the king of support as well as well fitted one liners, and the other two leads are each others complete opposites giving us both out beloved icicle and cup of hot chocolate moments mixing several beloved tropes in to this sweet, sweet drama.... okay I am going to stop writing sweet but if you are looking for something sweet, this is definitely worth watching.

At a distance spring is sweet and tough

This is a really sweet drama that combines allot of sweet and fluff with some pretty deep and sereus issues as well as teach us that boys do cry.

The OST in this drama complements it perfectly adding to the sweet fluffy tone but I can not help but wonder if the fluff gets the best of this drama only letting the important issues touch te surface without actually getting in to them. To be honest I can't decide if it is both good or bad to do so since acnowledging these issues without letting them take over could actually be a step forward towards breaking the silance and just showing that they are just one part of a persons life but not all of it.

The main couple is sweeter than cotton candy but the chemistry between the bromance is way more interesting than the romance.

The characters development in this drama is great and though some actions made me mad I did enjoy the friendships and the dynamics in the group yet still felt that something is missing.

All in all worth your time but not a masterpiece.

Mouth watering sweet n comforting

This drama is really sweet and offers both adorable cast and mouth watering moments, lots and lots of mouth watering moments....

While I admit I do have some issues with some of the highly unnecessary s scenes including a trip abroad that brings nothing to the story but leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. And some slightly over simplified mental issues. The over all feel to this is that they tried to convay some kind of come as you are, you are worthy of both love and a job...

I love the leads and the sides, and even thought there is an episodic element to this it does not take away from the romance and the characters development... So basically this could have been an 8,5 or even a 9 for all the yummy and sweetnes this offers I can not fully forget episode 7 ever happened so I settled for an 8.

Before the sunshine there will be darkness, after the sunshines there will be darkness...

Mental illness, the stigma people with it face, challenges of treating mental illness and so on are all very important issues. The creators of this drama seem to want to do it all tackle how it is to treat an illness, the perspective of family, friends, the patient and society all in one while still offering the viewers a dose of sunshine between all these very painful issues . Offering the viewers a whole palette of mental issues. To be honest I think they got pretty close but there is something that keeps me from giving this a full score.

I feel like I a m a bit undecided about the way they try to visualise the perspective of the patient experiencing an episode of mania, depression, anxiety and so on. And there are a few scenes that just feel forced and a bit to over the top healy for my liking. But they do manage to squeeze in a whole lot of great lines and important cases that need to be shouted out loud a lot more.

I could also relate to several parts of the story and perspectives, however as they took these to the extreme the relatability kind of subsided a bit (again lowering the score) .

Our female lead is amazing, Park Bo Young does a great job showing the whole spectrum of her character as well as how different she can be depending on the situation or who she is with. Playful with her bestie, child like with her mom, stand offish with the guy who acts weird on the bus and extremely patient with har patients while still showing us that nurses are human too. Probably one of the characters I could relate to the most from all the dramas I have watched so far.

Our male lead is so sweet and fun whenever the female lead was mentioned or on screen it felt feels like watching a child about to open presents on their birthday. Yet the guy still managed to seem competent and interesting.
So I would say Yeon Woo Jin nailed this role.

Jang Dong Yoon A.K. A the best friend is also adorable, interesting and a blast to watch, a great character versatile, helps forward the plot as well as made me feel bad for hi so many times it got ridiculous.

This is not a romance but it does have som romance and the second couple outshines the first couple with their screen time together as well as their story some of the best scenes in this drama where given to them and the way D.R Hwang adresses the mother in law issue was the cherry on top of this salty caramel sunday of a show.

The rest of the nurses, doctors, and patients where very well casted, some of the patients guardians or what they are called had me boiling but the acting was good.

All in all a drama I do recommend, just be were of the triggering elements

There is something about how this drama was put together that hooked me from the very beginning. So much that I could overlook things that usually bother me like people talking to versions of themselves or poop jokes. Partly because they were done decently, partly because they actually forwarded the plot and partly because the characters where just so very lovable.

There is something about putting togeheter not just opposites but people from completely different places in life in a gruop based on mutual respect and an common interest. A group. that sees you and helps you grow all in a fun setting, adorable themes and even though some may seem slightly over the top they do not cross over to over the top pathetic annoying. Not even once. This is not an easy balance to maintain, especially in dramaland and with some of those acors. But somehow they managed to keep that balance. That alone made this worthy of en extra star. I love this club and would love to have one of those of my own even though I am not sure I would actually dare attend one.

The different ways to act as siblings in this is shown really well, and I must say fond siblings as well as biological siblings in this are some of dramalands best. The parents are some of dramalands worst (not something in the rain bad, but bad).

The romance in this is top, sweet, complicated, it has fun development and incorporates both playfulness, insecurity and shows different ways to find romance. But not only does it give me a romance addict the fix I need it also gives me different ways to love (outside of romance) as well as reasons to love even though it hurts.

Other things I love about this drama is the show of a bunch ways to feel insecure, fighting low self a steam, sthere is no quick fix and you can always relapse and self destruct. The show also manages how low self a steam is nurtured, what can make otherwise good girls lie, rebel and want to die.

So much good in this but not all, some parts are wrapped up to fast, specially the ending and family relations. Even though I said they managed to keep an okay balance I can not completely ignore the potentially annoying elements existence and some characters have moments of just a little bit to perfect.

Also I want a spin off with two of the best friends, preferably filmed a broad. ...

Opposites attract and complete each other

This is a story about foremost two youths both troubled, broken, lonely but in very different ways, living in two very separate realities but within the same space. Maybe I should say spaces as while one space is the type that is so close but yet so far. Floating around like two parallel rivers. The other one has this window or maybe this small stream that connects the two rivers but only has space for the two of them. A space that allows the two to forget the worlds/rivers they come from and focus on each other.

While the story is a sweet, youth love story it is surrounded by the pain, lowliness and hardships of youth. A story that needs to be told. Letting us know that there are those who are predators, those who are victims and those that are bi standers. Thus explaining how the adult world could let these youths live the way they do.

It is really beautiful and fun to watch how these two find each other, watch these opposites interact, in more or less subtle ways.

A decent drama for most.

Edit:

Just watched the extra episode, that one is a 9, an interesting wrap up, while somethings change some things clearly stay the same.

one silent, closeted the other free spirited with a sense of fight inequality, Il get married wen I can vs. I dare not say anything about... anything. But one thing is clear the love and lust is there. But how long will they be able to hide?

You can't hurry love and you can't hurry revenge but you can turn down the volume

Part two of the story keeps teaching us that revenge takes time, you can´t hurry love and you cant hurry revenge... However you can apparently scream a lot so before you watch this you may want to turn down the volume or keep the mute button close as there is more crying, yelling and screaming than dialog in this season of this drama, that I yet again do not get why they had to split in to two...

The cast is lovely, scenery lovely there is a bit more blood and splatter than there was in season one and also more of Lee Do Hyun (but not nearly enough), the development of the story is pretty interesting some twist more predictable than others, but I would say it is a well paced, well thought of story with very few plot holes and unnecessary turns that create a beautiful web of revenge and friendships gone all over the place. Having the most unnecessary part of this drama be splitting it in two.

I hated the mothers voices in this drama but loved every single portrayal of motherhood here, letting some moms be selfish, others selfless, and some more of the found family type. Giving us a lot more evil than good.. And honestly I love it.

While there is some romance in this, it is not nearly enough to satisfy a romance lover like me but than again it is not a romance, so I guess the pebbles of romance we get should be considered a bonus to the otherwise thrilling screaming plot.

All in all a really decent story, easy to bing (an afternoon will do) and fun to watch... Just mind the screaming.

P.s. I hate to say this but Song Hye Kyo had better chemstry with Jung Sung Il than Lee Do Hyun, almost making me forget that his character (Ha Do Young) is a superficial sexist jerk deep down inside.

Also what I said about part one (linked as a comment) still goes

Melting Icicle meets a not so pathetic female lead...

This was sweet, fun at times draggy at times... You may also need to know that this is a FANTASY

I am a complete sucker for cruel, cold and brutally honest male leads, and this guy had it all.... The female lead was not overly stupid or pathetic and was actually pretty lovable most of the time. And the mother of this drama is probably one of my all time favourite moms... to add to this there are also a whole lot of gif worthy moments and fun/honest/absurd dialog.

And while some of the twists are highly predictable there were a few that did manage to surprise me... The side characters did not show any overbearing or annoying tendency so I should probably have rated this higher than I did but there was just something in there that was missing. Could be a lack of chemistry between the second couple, could be that the lack of "it" in the rest of the side characters and it could just be that some side storys seemed unnecessary and just deviated from the plot. Or some cringy dialog/monolog here and there... Or it could just be my mood and the fact that I had misjudged the timing to binge this and had to take a break in the binge... Whatever it was it affected the score of this drama that has more or less all I love in a drama.

P.S. there was also a hint of gay representation that flashed by in an instant but it was still there to make me happy.

Brutal, bloody, beautifull yet probably overhyped..

This drama was awful to watch but has pretty high entertainment value, some parts where good, others mediocre, it did leave me guessing (some theories where right others wrong) and did keep me on my toes at times. It does have some interesting issues and does make you feel stuff... but not to much. And it definitely did leave room for more seasons as well as had me closing my eyes a lot. It is utterly brutal in some scenes that did both gross me out and just made me feel pain... a lot of pain, impressive painful pain.

What ups the score for this otherwise pretty okay but not worth the hype drama is the beautiful combination of brutality and childrens games with extremely well (mis)fitted OST, something that I personally am a complete sucker for and the fact that my very picky and hard to get to watch K-dramas with husband said it was the best K-drama he had seen. the visuals here are just stunning (unless they are gross) and the contrast is just so good and hits all the right spots for me. I also liked to hate most of the characters and did enjoy some great (dark) humor and one liners from some of the contestants.

So this is not something for the faint hearted but for those of you with a somewhat bloody darkside this may just hit the spot. Just don´t get to attached to anyone....

Fun - brain off entertainment

This is such a fun binge the type where you just switch off every single part of your brain and moral compass and enjoy the ride.

Our leads are true opposites attract bubbly, assertive, passionate meets "I must hold back" .... Giving us an answer to what happens after the girl takes the money envelope and tries to stay away from the son. Their chemistry is there and while I do believe the male lead needs a lesson about consent and all rownd how to respect other peoples boundaries he does have his moments making us understand why everybody loves him (partly money, part smile, part devotion) while thinking fantasy fun- real life avoid at all coast. He is the new king of wrist grabs and forced kisses.

The writers seem to choose hot scenes over logic giving us such lovely moments as non melting ice with no purpose other than be pretty and draw attention to the mouthes of the leads as well as the good old clothes in the shower.

All in all a short, fun binge just beware of the lack of all logic and consent and Im sure you will be fine.

Also the title is a bit misleading its more of a 10 years of deception, or 10 years of spreading seeds....

Depth, and darkness with very little light

This is one of those stories that grabs your heart and squeezes it over and over again, while keeping you guessing who is who and how did they get there. The first letter clearly shows that we are in for a ride in to the darkest depths of despair not knowing if we will ever be able to get back out of it.

While some twists are more predictable than others the way this drama unfolds bit by bit had me in a state of pain and fear throughout the whole drama, the more I got to see the leads try to get out of the hell they lived in the more I got to know about them the more they made me feel stuff. As the writers really did a good job showing the human being behind the hooligan, how they got there and the bonds between the leads.

The two mains connections went beyond romance, beyond family, placing them somewhere between Better Days and Someday or One day type of storytelling brilliance. The mailbox, cat, past and present connecting timelines felt pretty secondary to the main story that took place in 1991.

The debt collectors, gang men got on my nerves more than once, however they had an important part in upholding the fear and contributing to the plot that I find myself appreciating the way they were written in to the story even though some of their parts where slightly rushed.

I do have one complaint and that is the casting of the older versions I get that they had a hard life but they looked closer to 75 than 55.

But other that that Id say this is one 0f 2025 best C dramas, it may even be one of the best drams released this year, the type of drama that really tells a story it may only be12 episodes long but it is nothing but a fast story , it is an easy binge but not an easy watch and there is not a single fast or fluffy carb in this only some slight hope of seeing some northern lights in the darkness.

I blame the umbrella...

This drama wheeled me in. with a good umbrella scene right at the start and an odd and pretty interesting story just to drag me though 11 episodes of slow self sacrificing mumbo jumbo torcher... never ending monologs , self sacrificing and some type of lesson about perspectives and being needed... all surrounded by ways to use the umbrella, and people who want to be each others umbrellas... more or less tanking turns being the umbrella... making me doubt my fandom towards the umbrella... as I am sure I would have dropped this if it weren't for the cute characters and umbrellas...

The story itself is not that bad, neither is the acting and even though some of the choices had my head burning they where not actually that bad... However while I am sure they where trying to make the audience feel stuff. The never ending lessons and monologs in this made me wish for doom upon them all towards the end. So at that point no ampunt of umbrellas, sweet smiles, and beautiful sweets could save this.

Just like the female lead kept loosing her senses so did I.... loose my patients with this.

Fast Cotton Candy Carbs...

This is an easy binge, the type of drama that has no substance what so ever, 0 connection with reality, but somehow drags you in and before you know it you hve binged it and in my case even payed to watch those last unreleased episodes.

The dubbing is so bad, the voices do not really match the characters at all and fore some reason the female lead keeps on singing whenever she is happy, which is nice but the song sounds a bit like something taken out of a horror movie background... lalall... love is great I am coming for your soul type of deal...

Most of the characters are childish, some ridiculously childish, this is supposed ot be Chinas top athleets yet they keep on making rookie mistakes and lack discipline... The twists are so obvious they had me rolling my eyes over and over again. And the found family trope here is good but also a bit waisted potential...

Tha male lead is a adorable, obvious from the start, and has this honey dripping puppy look on his face whenever he looks at the female lead, from start to finish. however I felt like they dragged out the romance a bit to much and did not fully deliver the scenes promised in frame picture between episodes...

But other than that its an easy binge, not nearly as good as other dramas in the genre but it does have less propaganda preachey feel to in than many other dramas have also it is short enough to even make you want another episode or two.

She knows he is bad but is feels so good

This is basically cool girl meets ganster and looses not only herself but pretty much her cool. As we are thrown in tho the world of each f**** could be the last he will call her if he is alive.

On this lustfilledjourney we get to see a whole lot of wristgrabs, women being thrown over the sholder wood, flower petals and luscious outfits.

Sex and drugs and not so much rock n roll but pistols...

As mer Cold hard gangser becomes warm hard lover... To his assertive sexually forward female lead (and secound female lead) who knows what and who she wants

Offering such lovely lines as Its not enough, I want more of mr. Oya. I need him to fill me up, fast. I need to be filled up by mr Oya so there is no gap anywhere" some more lines... We did it over and over... i almost lost consciousness...Basically saying she wants more even if she looses consciousness and I am pretty sure she did not mean she wanted ice cream.

Basically prapare yourself for longing and blood shed and flowery sex scenes in pretty much every episode. An easy watch just not infron of the children...
