lmao watching this with my mum and she said that lan zhan's lines in the entire drama is basically just him calling…
He speaks volumes with his eyes and actions. He doesn't really need words.
Not to mention all his Wei Yings are nuanced... from the one meaning "Wei Ying, baby, we've talked about this, stop being an ass and get down to sleep, it's 9PM" to "Wei Ying, ISTG if you don't stop this nonsense of demonification I'm gonna whoop your ass so hard you won't be able to sit down a week and I'll break my Everyday Means Everyday motto just because of that" to "Wei Ying, you're the softest boi to ever grace my view, I could stay here watching you all day and night (well not between 9PM and 5AM, but you know what I mean)".
And then there's the "walking a single-plank bridge with you til its dark end is not so bad"- Wei Ying.
this is from novel: " Sacrificial ritual" was type of curse. The caster (MXY) was to harm themselves with a weapon,…
Well, LOL, the Yin Iron is also only important in the drama, too. In the novel, WWX finds the old sword in the Xuanwu monster and keeps it in his pouch (wuxia/xianxia have these out-of-place-out-of-time items to store things, pouches or rings or whatever) until he's thrown into the Burial Mounds and has to survive it, and that's it. He remakes the sword into the Tiger Amulet and lets it refine all the dark resentful energy of the place and later on, uses it to control dark spirits. (The novel is way more horror and gruesome than the drama, BTW, if you haven't, you should read it, it's amazing - and you get 1000% more WangXian interractions. Because trust me - it's way more in the open, what's between them, than it ever comes out in the drama).
LWJ is way more useful when roaming around with WWX and not giving his uncle more dyspeptic attacks, LOL because - "wherever chaos is, that's where Lan WangJi is". He's one like Song Lan and Xiao XingChen, going out to find and erase darkness, not sitting in council meetings to tend to leaders' wounded pride. I like him just going out along on WWX's crazy adventures - because WWX is just nosy and SMART and can't sit still - and dealing with dangers to the non-JiangHu people.
Just read the novel - novel WWX and LWJ are amazing (and flawed) heroes of legend.
U Jae was humiliated by his newlywed wife playing dressup with that Wedding Dress Shop employee.Husband confesses…
I don't think anyone is rooting for his undoing, he's just an active contrast for the ML and that's about it - not a lot of substance to his presence, or not so far, anyway. Yeah, dating two women at the same place of work is beyond idiotic, LOL but at the same time, he managed it for at least half a year and neither of the women caught him.
The submission was stolen from her idea anyway, I don't know if he withdrew it yet, I hope so, for his good. And if he didn't, I hope she exposes him.

Wen RuoHan was never Excellency, he just did whatever he wanted because he had the power to do so. Jin GuangShan became Excellency of the newly created Alliance of Clans who worked together to bring down the Wen Clan.
LWJ only becomes Excellency in the drama, in the novel he doesn't care about it because WWX and he are busy honeymoon-ing all over the place and feeding dogfood to everybody LOL.
The position is supposed to be one of a mediator between clans and the deciding voice in whatever thing they can't really agree on. Obviously JGS never cared about it because all he wanted was the prestige. But after the Wen Clan was brought down, it was Meng Yao doing everything as a stand-in and making all the decisions until he "inherited" the position by killing his father. And he also used it to basically rule over the JiangHu and having all leaders at his beck and call, when previously he was nobody, the son of a prostitute and someone his own father called a "nothing".

A cheater getting his just rewards, I don't see a problem here at all. And did you notice how he's looking at HaeYoung? He still has cheating on his mind.

OMG, so young?! All my actual childhood is hazy, I have no real memory of myself until about 6 years of age and no structured remembrance of my primary school years... I thought everybody was about the same. 3 seems way too young to form lasting memories. Am I the one of the outliers, LOL? :D
He said he's going to have a "real" family himself, I wonder if he went to someone who adopted him and then left him behind or something...
I don't know how it's in Korea, but in my country if someone gets married the traditional way following all the…
In my country the only recognised marriage is the one legalised in the City Hall. You can choose to have or not have a religious ceremony after, but never before, and no traditions make it official without the civil act. Sometimes people wait to have a wedding party for years after they get actually married, LOL.
We have lots of common law situations, but they're not recognised by law because we also have lots of idiots who are ~afraid~ making them official would let in same-sex marriages.
On the other hand, you can divorce very easily if nothing's contested and there are no kids - just go to any legal notary and declare you're divorced and you're done (they give you a certificate of divorce and that's that).
The cheater's wife and the wedding salon employee were manifesting HARD for his presence, LOL. They had such a…
So he was one of the orphans or children in distress the mom took over - he must've been old enough to remember his foster mom, why doesn't HaeYoung recognize him? Or the other two foster sisters?
And who's the one in Canada that's making him want to run as fast and as far away as he can?! And more important, why?!
The cheater's wife and the wedding salon employee were manifesting HARD for his presence, LOL. They had such a strong sismance, hahaha~
OMG poor Bokyu's eyes!!!! They were burning!!! Great King Sejong reborn wouldn't have been able to restore the innocence of his mind even if he de-invented hangul!! How on Earth is mom addicted to that kind of stories while the son is dragged in hell by them LOL.
Please tell me this is not another remake of Addicted. Please tell me it is Addicted minus all the blood and gangster…
AH is based on the AH novel. The On1y One is based on A Certain Someone by Mu Su Li. Given the only thing they have in common is the school setting, why do you think this would be a remake of AH?!

WIYL Director's Cut is pretty good actually. They changed a lot of shots and a few scenes, added lines they had previously cut, removed a bit of the pretty dark takes, the music comes through well. IMHO the DC is worth a watch.
I haven't watched most of those. I haven't been to interested. I started Where Your Eyes Linger and dropped it…
Where Your Eyes Linger wasn't a hit with me either with the drama, they played it too cruel and dark. But the Director's Cut of the movie is very good, you might give it a try again and see if your perception changes, as mine did.
The Eight Sense is also pretty good, though more muted, as KBL usually is.
Cherry Magic is a whole different beast, there's no way to compare - it's funny and perfect match made in heaven and all that, but definitely a pretty (VERY pretty) manga adaptation.
... Now if anyone ever had the courage to do a GOOD adaptation of Haru Wo Daiteita - that would be a great drama to watch!
Why I always browse and watch so many spoilers like I didn't even remember that scene in the past episodes, and…
Many people in here have already read the book or are in the process of reading it, so the spoilers might be from the novel itself and not the drama. The novel is great, try it if you want to see how they can write a sensitive coming of age danmei love story :)

Also, to my non-Chinese speaking person's ear, his Mandarin accent sounds better than his English. Never expected Reese to be the shou, LOL.
This drama needs way more new songs. Can they have Sea write new songs for the both of them to sing together?
