Why were they attacked? I seem to have missed that part.
I think they're under the impression everybody in the Ye family died. They talked about Yun when YuRu found the fan she had worked on as a gift for her friend.
They will find out sometime, since Wang wants to make use of ShiAn.
Why were they attacked? I seem to have missed that part.
He raped her. Now she's suicidal because of it BUT he wants her brother (who, might I say, was stupid enough to deliver himself in Wang's hands with NO backup instead of going directly to the capital to place a memorial to the king, as any scholar right in the mind would do) to show his support and let the people of the city see that even the survivors of the Ye family are in his power.
They're both hostages for the actions of the other. And in the meantime, I suppose Wang still has her in his power :(
Why were they attacked? I seem to have missed that part.
A high-up official revolted against the king and Commissioner Wang (at LZS' prompt) joined the party with hope of getting more power and riches. That means he had to secure all noble families and all the wealth of merchants, so he killed them all off because it was the safest way.
I mean, he basically destroyed his own city, even if he pretends the Gu family did everything, nobody will believe him... as long as there are any survivors to say otherwise. ShiAn and Yun being still alive will become huge problems BUT Wang is a leecher - that's where the son got it from - and can't help himself.
Like in Goblin, Tale of the Nine-Tailed, Highlander, any and all vampire/werewolves-themed stories and dramas? Where, to be mentioned, everyone was immortal and not a special person remembering past lives while NOT being immortal?
Yeah, what if? It's not like most of those stories or dramas ever met success, right? /s
Also reading the sad story on the news, how the titanic tourists were killed, as their vessel, implored 😢 on…
It was a risky dive with ALL their dives, they just got really lucky before this one. The glass pannel was certified for 1.3km deep (the Titanic is at 3.8km deep), the body of the sub is made from carbon fiber (which tends to get microstructural damages with repeated stress, and can - and does - completely fail when such a crack appears anywhere. There was some titanium alloy to give it more strength, but this (civil) sub should have never been allowed to operate at that depth, if at all.
What most probably happened was that it suddenly failed around the 3km depth mark, when the sub lost comm (it wasn't unexpected and did happen before, so they waited it out before starting to panic). Very probably the whole body of the sub imploded (the pressure there is about 30.2MPa; for comparison, at sea level, atmospheric pressure is just about 101kPa). The water rushing in at that pressure differential destroyed anything soft - like a human body - in miliseconds, faster than nerve endings sending alarm messages to the brain could have reached the cortex. That means, none of them knew what happened because there was no time for their brains to get the info and process it. At least there's that for their families.
There are debris found, from the sturdier parts of the vessel, so they already are sure it's the sub. There are no bodies that can be recovered. There will probably be some inquests on how this whole mess was allowed to happen, because it's indefensible (a few years back, while on the level with the Titanic, for example, they discovered one of their thrusters was mounted in reverse. That is unacceptable for any crew or team who takes themselves and the lives of their passengers seriously.)The oceans deeps are the true unknown regions we get to explore, because it's so dangerous. As interesting as adventurous as it may be, going to such depths is not like going into space. There have been more people ON the Moon than in the Mariana Trench bottom, for example. Those depths are no joke).
Just for info - there IS a safer way even for civilians to go explore, even in the Challenger Deep, if they want to. But it COSTS lots of money, much more than Rush was interested in spending.
The first successful manned-deep-water sub was the Trieste. It took two people on the bottom of the Challenger Deep, 11km (minus about 90m) under the surface, the deepest point on the Earth's crust accessible to us). It had a 12.5+cm thick metal alloy body, the pannel was made out of multi-layered plexiglas (one outer pannel even cracked and scared them halfway to death in the descent), and it had multiple, redundant safety measures in place for anything that could happen. The dive happened in 1960, so we knew how to do it for a LONG time (before the Moon landing). But again... it costs.
The Trieste's improved second version, Trieste II, went to explore other deep sea places, including the Titanic wreck. And now there are newer class DSVs that are used, but mostly they're for the army (so they cost very, very much), and are used at around 6km depths at most. There aren't many of them (Alvin class).
So to sum up the rant, it CAN and WAS done safely before, but it costs money. The owner of the OceanGate was in it for the money he could get, not spend, so he took risks and now 5 people, including him, are dead. And lots of resources that could and SHOULD have been used in other places - like looking for survivors of the Greece and Spain refugee boats disasters - were used up to look for them instead.
Argh. Anyway, RIP to them and RIP to all the hundreds of souls lost in the two boat sinking disasters THIS WEEK. :(
Watch some Luo YunXi and Bai Lu drama - either Love is Sweet or Till the End of the Moon. The fact that they're…
I don't even like the idea of CPs, LOL (real-life people, even if actors, have their own personal lives that need no wild delusional input from fans). What I mean is that IF they have acted together before, they tend to be more relaxed around each other and that always improves their acting (particularly when there's supposed to be romance in it). Chinese fandoms though seem to hate the recurring pairings of their favorites and would even go to war over some of them.
If BL and LYX are friends, that's great and I'm happy for them. If they're a couple - or not - is not my business and I don't really care, TBH (the same as with BJT and SY). For me, again, this all is related to how comfortable they get to be with each other and nothing else.
I am one who always falls for the characters and never for the actors LOL.
Does it have tragic ending too?Is there any for Immortality to air at all?
There is no fake BE for 2ha. The only and actual ending is a HE. Now, given the shenanigans Chinese censorship likes to play with anything danmei, I wouldn't put it above them to stop at the point where it SEEMS all ends unhappily.
But if Tencent wants to survive fandom ire, they won't even try it. IF they ever let it air, that is.
I'm not really understand the meaning of the second dialogue.. can you please explain it to me??
She wants him to be the carefree JiuSi who never troubled over anything, because that's what she thinks makes him happy.
When he acknowledges to himself he's already changed by the events in their lives, he also wants her to remain the YuRu he's known, the one who's tentatively spreading her wings and quietly but steadily coming out of her crysalis.
Basically, each wish the other one kept their innocence.
It's 100 GOLD taels. That's a whole lot more than silver taels. (Roundly, and not taking into consideration every…
It would be like someone came to you and said - I'll give you a billion dollars, go and get me (someone who escaped after killing lots of soldiers through his amazing martial arts).
So, after 10 eps, what's the consensus? Is it worth the time invest? I tried to watch the first ep and get a feeling for myself, because Xu Kai, and the FL looks beautiful in stills but I'm not convinced there was a lot of money going in this (not a S-level costume drama? because of the low effort CGI, complaints I've read in here about not being too close to the original work it's adapting, and because it starts pretty slowly). I'm hoping I'm very wrong. I've been missing Xu Kai since SAHPH.
Her home country is Turkey and brought up in china..! Same as Dilraba Dilmurat 👑 so that's why she is underated…
Gulnezer Bextyiar, just like Dilraba Dilmurat, Merxat Yalkun (these being the most famous) and other active actors / artists are all of Uyghur ethnicity. While being a Turkic ethnicity, that doesn't mean they are "from" Turkiye/Turkey. Their home country is China - all the three I've mentioned are from Urumqi, in XinJiang, the (in)famous region that's been making waves in international news.
Btw when I saw your profile gif, this thought came to my mind .All the issues you mentioned in the comment was…
Most of them are really fighting a sasaeng battle to make KTL come on top for the time the two dramas air in paralel. But they will pretend it's because their sensitivities are hurt and you (and me, and anyone else enjoying this drama) are immoral monsters. Some of them just use their alt-accounts (that were created years ago for the specific purpose of "supporting" the dramas their faves are starring in, some will use their main accounts, sometimes even "converse" with each other as if they were different people.
It's why "cancel culture" appeared as a pejorative term.
Don't mind them and don't bother with them any more - fake outrage is just fake. You could use the block button, but alt-accounts can re-appear all the time. Just ignore their diatribes and enjoy the drama.
(Also, I bet there are some fans of the leads here but there are basically NO chains of comments in that drama's section to complain about anything wrong with it just because it's competing with SYIM19L. Not everybody is a sasaeng.)
The childish outbursts from people who claim to love this drama is astonishing. Try to open your minds a little…
"Try to open your minds a little please. And you’ll see the world does not revolve around yourself, your ideas and your thoughts. Trust me, you’ll learn a lot more and who knows, you’ll learn to grow too. "
The reason why Governor Wang never gets GJS is bc he is too stingy, his reward is only 100 teals each time!!!…
It's 100 GOLD taels. That's a whole lot more than silver taels.
(Roundly, and not taking into consideration every cultural, regional and dynastical circumstance, as I do not know enough about those, a silver tael used to be around 40 grams of silver, and a gold tael was about 37.5 grams of gold - again, no idea how pure. But still, he first offered 100 silver taels when they were still in YangZhou then changed it to the same amount but in gold, and mentioned it's about how much they robbed from the Gu family anyway. Some 3,75 kilograms of gold. That would be about 214k Euro, in today's worth. Same amount of silver - well, 4 kgs, a bit more - would be worth only 2.6k Euro.)
GJS, hit me with your best shot!! "You are my life."...Okay, I give.
So, let's take this in order.
First (bloody) kiss(es). They count.
Also, what were they doing under that blanket! I'm with Zhou Ye in this. This is highly sus. And now they've taken to sleeping in the same bed like it's nothing. And almost kissed twice (no blood this time). And she laughs in his presence (spooking him as much as when she cries in his presence, LOL).
Also, who the f wrote the music for this drama?? When they were in that hut (which reminded me SO MUCH of the hut YXW takes TTJ after she finds him on the river bank), the BGM was a song that sounded veeeeery much like a TTEOTM BGM too (not the same, but similar). It kept tickling my recognissance nerve. There's no music composer in the crew list, I am dying to know.
GJS is taking the initiative (yet again). And he got first place, yay!! Good thing nobody cares about "that" bet. What's GJS going to do, form a secret informers network? Smart lad :D
Poor Mme Gu. She is almost certain her husband is dead - but maybe not - and doesn't want to learn anything definitive if it's not going to be good news. I sure hope Mr. Gu found YuRu's mom and they're hiding somewhere in YangZhou until things settle down more. At least the concubine is not in the same place as the Gu family - which reminds me OMG WHAT A BEAUTIFUL COURT!!! I've never seen one so large paved in woodplanks, that's gorgeous! (Their first mansion was great too, what with the water coming under the house, so beautiful, I want one!!!)
*Sigh* I might have a bare feet fetish. First I noticed it with the princess' arrival in The Blue Whisper (she steps out with bare feet unto rose petals, that was so seductive OMG), and now with JiuSi barreling down the corridor in bare feet... Why don't more costume drama characters do that!! It's so sexy. Do it some more, hear me?
I haven't seen a more comfortable couple on screen . They proved that didn't have to say the three words to love…
Watch some Luo YunXi and Bai Lu drama - either Love is Sweet or Till the End of the Moon. The fact that they're friends makes them very relaxed around each other, and the dramas are better for it.
For this one, there are rumours that BJT and SY are maybe dating, or at least good friends too, and it's also pretty obvious they're comfortable around each other.
China should really get over the "not too many dramas together" thing they've got going, it's clear that most dramas are suffering from leads not being all that familiar with each other...
They will find out sometime, since Wang wants to make use of ShiAn.
They're both hostages for the actions of the other. And in the meantime, I suppose Wang still has her in his power :(
