Actually, nobody ever explained why would original timeline's DG just decide one day to come and destroy the Immortal Sects. Maybe they also did some poking there and were about to find out what it got them.

Maybe all of this is just trying to raise the DG in order to suck his power out, but instead making him become interested to expend the effort to just clean up their sects?!

PS The trying-to-destroy-the-ML-BEFORE-he-even-did-something is a lot like what they did to SiFeng in LaR, when they decided he'd have to die because he was partly demon. LOL. Xianxia idiots just FAFO.

Yup, by this time... I kind of don't want this story to have a HEA. If she gets it, she wouldn't have earned it.

What relationships? She is the only one who made any real impact on his life. This is still the kid nobody ever loved, who was tortured and abused until she threw him a few bits of love and care, and then underwent 500 years more of pain to get back to her. Why would he care about the right or wrong of others, when nobody cared for his rights and wrongs? How long does WANTING to be a good person remain when everybody is pounding you with injustice and pain?

He doesn't have anyone else, and she just threw him away. AGAIN.
