So let me walk it through.

0. LSS decides to go the Jing capital, TTJ decides he's going to be around her all the time from now on so he follows her wherever she goes. Meanwhile GYJW is busy exorcising demons and getting snared by MN.

1. LSS finds out there's a demon who likes to attack lonely travellers (who optionally dress well). So she decides to dress well and shows up at the inn, before learning what kind of demon it even is. TTJ is with, her, the pink dress is worn.
2. GYJW is at the inn next door, having been taken there by MN under the pretense she - MN - also went to the capital. That is the FIRST time they're meeting, the three of them. Where did you see LSS and GYJW together to plot before this? (Unless you mistook MN in the carriage with LSS).
3. The three of them make up a rushed plan to deal with the demon and LSS really does change out of the pink dress in order to go do the dirty work. Maybe she only brought the two dresses and wants to use the cuter one to trap the demon. It's not too farfetched.
4. They enact the plan and things happen, etc.

I seriously see no problem with it. What, do we really need all details spelled out?!

We came to that conclusion because it WAS shown in the drama. I rather like not to be told but shown and left to make my own decisions on how to understand a chara.

What, are you saying the Terminator wasn't a MC? I think LSS/YXW (more likely) is a MC. It's just not the usual xianxia emo MC (she could show some more emotions... but then... She'll be back :D)

Think about it - it's a reverse mirror xianxia. Usually it's the ML who is cold and unreflective and does all these stupid things because they're not explained. And the FL is the emotional one, throwing pain waves all around and crying her eyes out. Not saying TTJ has been crying his eyes out (there were some moments) but he's definitely emoting all over the place in all his impersonations LOL, while she's been a block of ice. I am not certain I'd like all xianxia to be like that, but it's definitely a change from the norm.

They did meet him by accident, he was out in the world exorcising demons and getting caught in MN's trap. They (the three of them) didn't plot it out together. GYJW got there via MN's transportation means. And MN actually had a hand in plotting things from the demons' side of the plot so she'd know where to "plant" him.

And there was no plan set out anyway on the immortals' side, since LSS learned about the demon only when she was in the capital. It was TTJ who was following her (because he decided to be proactive) who get to team up with her and catch the demon. They had to use remote learning LOL to get the info on what kind of demon they're facing anyway - do we really need to see all the crow back-and-forth talking?!

There were two dreams - Ye Mei got all the info from LSS and used it to build up a nightmare for TTJ.

I seriously wonder if this drama is either made according to how I understand the world (well, fantasy worlds) or it really can be that complicated to see in detail. It doesn't look complicated to me, anyway. (This is not supposed to be slight, it's just that I really don't have a problem understanding any of the timelines in this ep or the others, and I can follow the story easily).

I see her as the Terminator. She doesn't have any other intentions in the mortal life but to take the Bone and kill TTJ, of which she finally manages half and then she decides it'll be enough for now.

Since the immortal life began, she too didn't have any chance to make a mentality adjustment either - she poof!-ed out of the Pool and discovered the Immortal Sects and had to reintegrate, while still having to think up a way to contain or destroy the Bone.

I was mad at her myself yesterday, LOL, because she seemed needlessly cruel, but it makes sense. She freaking has PTSD from the first timeline and never had the chance to process it, and now all those people she couldn't mourn for lack of time are alive again - but not the same...

I wonder how come she's still sane.

So if instead of trying to look at her as if she's a sane, normal human/immortal being, you look at her as if she's someone under tremendous pressure (and then her lover comes back from the dead and he never died either but was tortured himself for half a millenium), it kind of make sense these two never got on the right wavelength.

YET. I hope some things at least will change from now on.

She finally read Nietzsche. She decided to try out some applied philosophy on TTJ and see if it made him stronger if it didn't kill him, LOL. (IMHO, she's kind of lost in the dark and desperate and feeling her way out so that the world is saved - again.)

Weird because she was strange so far, with not accepting perfectly good explanations and deciding everything in her own head, separate from all rational thinking.

Now she's acting like she grew a brain finally, it looks strange LOL.

Maybe that Heartless Way did help her sort some feelings and thoughts after all.

I actually have no idea what you all are talking about... What is it about the editing that's throwing you off? It's about the same as in all the other eps, it's just that they're not hurting each other but smiling a bit and the issues are solved pretty fast - is that what's strange, LOL?

I SURE HOPE SO. Or else!! *growl*

She has an excuse - she's a phoenix chick and imprinted on him using that name, LOL. I don't know what his excuse is, it's just that she's the girl he fell in love with and is still trying hard not to let go of her.

There have to be some TL mistakes here and there, since LSS addresses GYJW as da-shixiong (senior sect brother) and they keep writing is down as "Lin". He's not Lin any more and wouldn't know who that was if she actually said it.

I like the hostage prince frozen nearly to death, it's my favourite look from him. Those snow-sprinkled eyelashes and that LOOK he gives YXW when she taunts him trying to see if he really is the future DG... I still like that part the best.

If SOMEONE would have talked to him from the beginning (or at least after he developed the love threads) there would have been so much more development in fighting the DG's coming TOGETHER.

I like it he's a one man's army against the DG, but I'd love to see some help coming his way too!

She was evil from the beginning, anyway, her mortal lives were used to re-patch herself and get back to doing evil stuff, but she did seem to care about XL. Let's see if some of it translate to GYJW...

She looks like she did have some feelings for him in the past, maybe it'll influence some of her actions this time around.

Hot DG LOL

Everything was Ye Mei's work, she uses people's minds and memories to play. Sadly there was no hot DG present, except in TTJ's mind - is THAT why he was so hot, LOL - and he broke out of the nightmare when he realised LSS might be in the same predicament. The dream served to explain to him how come she was always afraid of him - that - was - to - come, the not-yet reborn DG.

And so he decides he won't ever be that hot, errr, become the DG and starts making promises to her, LOL. And already thinking about what if the sects learn he's the Evil Fetus.

I think he's on to NBY's actual motives - oh, no, NBY, don't go breaking my heart...

Saved her from what? I thought TTJ took all her power and SY was sealed at the time. I think this is a different demon.

But I was hoping it was some PR reincarnation - I wonder if we'll ever see YQY again...

They taught us that lesson really well, LOL.
