Dammit!!! I'll bet you those freeze-frame seconds come at the end of the second episode of next week.

The village got abandoned thirty years ago, I don't think any of the current crew could have anything to do with it - more like the grandparents' generation, if anyone.

To me, it sounded like he was blaming YK for sending DW into the forest, thus forcing his hand to kill her. I mean, one of their rookies just died, and it's a suspicious death, but if ANYone could not have done anything to either prevent or execute it, it would be YK... To blame her immediately looks like he's already linking her to a lot of happenings in the Jirisan park.

And the one who tried to have them killed in the winter incident tried really hard - we didn't see exactly what went down then, but she definitely fell from somewhere (the killer prefers pushing his victims to death), and something happened to Hyun-jo when he went to get help for her...

Dae Jin and his annoyance with people disrespecting the rangers and wanting to quit is still a strong suspect, but Goo Young is catching up fast...

I thought about how he's a MC. But it's not definitive, just a strong point in the favour of him being the main killer. He might be the one trying to pin down Dae Jin, though, for example.

But after the not-cool-with-it reaction when the love interest mentioned mom coming to visit, he definitely looks to be among the most probable suspects...

Yeah, they were already acting out (at the same time in the same place) even then. It just didn't appear too suspicious then because Dae Jin was the more glaring suspect.

If either of them was actually the killer... them being off-ish (in the past) would make sense.

I noticed him in Start Up (before I dropped it because I just couldn't any more), and I actually really liked his fashion style in Hometown ChaChaCha (though by the end of that drama the rom overpowered the com and it got a bit draggy, which not even the character's style could help along. The fact that I knew about the exGF scandal beforehand coloured some important parts of the plot too, for me, sadly.)

But he is cute, the dimples look very nice, I'm ready to have him come back stronger as a drama ML.

I think those are Dae Jin's gloves - if HE's not the killer, then someone is trying very hard to shift the blame to him.

Now that I think about it though, YK and HJ met Goo Young AND Park Il Hae loitering about not doing ranger stuff because they pretended to be lazy. And PIH seems a bit down - he had a kid around Christmas, now he's visiting medical clinics, what's going on with him?... So he could be involved in this, too...

He's just too ready to blame Yi Kang immediately - and I have this feeling he knew about the rock formation messages from the past, already...

True that... what if Goo Young pushed Da Won and placed the gloves in her hand to point the guilt at Dae Jin, and the one who was looking from the forest, if there was anyone there, was Dae Jin? What if they're actually either working together - or one is trying to hunt the other down?...

I do NOT like how corporeal-like Hyun-jo is becoming in the spirit world. Like his substance is transferring from this world to the other one. Let's stop that, show, can we?

I mean, if he - please, pretty please! - wakes up, how are those who saw his ghost going to take it?!

RE: Goo Young, he's much too suspicious right now. He just happened to come down the mountain right as Da Won went silent, he's way too snappy with Yi Kang in the present timeline, he doesn't want to meet the parents in the past, like he has something to hide... I hope he didn't push his love interest off the cliff too, sometime in the last year.

Finally, FINALLY, Yi Kang is trying to get inside Hyun-jo's radius of movements. She sure took her time.

It's Goo Young, it has to be him.

I think that she and Hyun-jo did have a hint of who is the ranger who's doing this, by the end of the past timeline, they just didn't have proof, and then they were trapped/attacked? (it isn't clear by the end of ep 8, either) and she ended up in a wheelchair and he in a coma.

So she might have come back to the ranger station in the present timeline to look for proof, and wasn't all that surprised to see the yellow ribbons. Of themselves, though, they don't prove much - they don't either exonerate or prove that Dae Jin is guilty (it's his office she's searching.) He could have been gathering them to destroy the poacher's paths... Then again he could have planted some of them himself. IF - big IF - he is the killer.

Se-wook was an opportunistic serial killer, he didn't have a pattern, he just poisoned whoever he could (Sgt. Kim, that granny with the memorial in the forest, the hiker who stole a poisoned drink from the water). He only attacked his cousin (still with the poisoned drink) when she could have gotten a clue about him.

The people who fell could be the work of the ranger who is Se-wook's accomplice or master killer. He even got rid of Se-wook through pushing him down a cliff, too.

He might have tried to get rid of Hyun-jo through a fire, but didn't expect it to get out of control - the wind changed direction, initially the wildfire (that the killer hadn't started) was not threatening the village at all. So that was all accidental and unsuccessful.

I imagine he'll try something more along his preference next time - a cut cord, a few misplaced carabiners and the like.

I guess it depends on which rules the ghosts/spirits are following. If he died and his ghost remained on Mt. Jiri, it could be he would eventually dissipate and leave forever so the killings would be left unsolved. If he's still alive, then his spirit would have an earthly anchor and could resist until there's a satisfying solution.

I just hope he does get to awake, even if (drama-style) he loses all memories of being a spirit and/or the ability to see people in danger on the mountain. Keeping fingers crossed for a HEA!

Poachers and tresspassers use those ribbons to mark a trail for future hikes/ for their buddies to follow, so they don't get lost. The killer caught on that and is using them to mark fake trails that lead people to their deaths or bring them closer to where the killer's waiting.

Some ranger can be seen either gathering them up (so destroying the hidden trails)... or tying them up (so that they're probably the killer or his accomplice). It's yet unclear (ep 8) which ranger that is.

If Da-won is still alive, she'll either have amnesia or be in a coma... But I hope the killer at least tricked her with a poisonous drink so she could have a fighting chance if found on time, instead of pushing her off a cliff.

The killer looked to be too tall to be Dae-Jin, but the rookie is kind of short... maybe it's just the perspective.

Dammit, now there are spiritless days?! Whyfor all the new rules? Let the spirit of Hyun-jo move freely! Let the sun go down so he could get up and go save the rookie!

At least don't blame it on him for whatever happens to her...

And now I have to wait another week?!! Next time I'll definitely wait for a show to end so I can binge watch it. Real-time watching is damaging to the nerves.

Lu Yu Ning's voice really is amazing, so warm and cozy. I'll be on the lookout for more of his songs. And maybe fold and watch Skate Into Love, just in case.

I was ready to swear Zhou Shen is a woman, based only on his voice. He reminds me of Yoshikazu Mera - if I didn't know, I'd also have sworn he's a woman.

Xueran Chen's song from Guardian is always epic. I don't really listen to much of the rest of his songs, but that one's fixed on my feel good list. (And I couldn't even go too deep in the series, either, but the song stayed with me.)

I think his voice is so sweet and melancholy, it always puts me into a contemplative mood.

He's stuck on the mountain... They should bring his body back to Jirisan, I don't think he'll survive otherwise, since the spirit can't move further than the end of that bridge. It was so sad, seeing him try to communicate with the living... Bring KHJ back!! (Let's start a petition :D)

I love how receptive the rookie is to the idea of supernatural acts on Jirisan - Yi Kang had a chance to see Hyun-jo's power in action, so she's convinced, but the rookie only saw the ghost/spirit so far. And the rock formations, maybe. Women power for the supernatural!!

I'm now stuck too, with the main killer's identity. If the person buying yoghurts in the same store where YK and HJ are eating is supposed to be the killer, they'd obviously recognize him if he was their team mate. But the killer also has access to their things in the refuges and stations, so he HAS to be a ranger too... (Unless there will be a retcon later, when we'll be shown that Yi Kang actually saw that person in the store but didn't make a connection to the poisoned yoghurts. )

Also, it has to be someone who isn't directly involved in the fire-containment at this moment, as he had time to follow HJ and lock him in the building...

I seriously don't like the implication that whenever HJ tells the outside world that someone's going to be killed on the mountain, the effort to influence the physical world is making him grow weaker... NO!! STOP IT!! He needs to survive!! (please!)

That skeleton is definitely Se-wook's. It's been a while since he was killed, he would be at least partially skeletonized. But if the fire reaches that area, all traces will be burned :(
