Chinese BL. There are a few series ongoing that are as uncensored as Chinese series ever were, but they're not Chinese released, I think Revenged Love (based on Counter Attack by Chai JiDan, author of Addicted/Heroin and Advance Bravely) is now ongoing but airing internationally and not in China.
We were using Y!m and mIRC since the 90s, memes and tags were already invented by the beginning of the new milennium.
Yes, hashtags as an internet twitter thing did. But tags were around for a lot longer before that. Antique cell phones (by today's standards) already had the hash symbol # on their keyboards, hahaha~
The hash symbol was used to denote separate IRC (or later, mIRC) channels. And (m)IRC channels and chatrooms were around since almost the first steps of the internet. Chatrooms eventually evolved into Yahoo! Messenger (or Y!M) and later on today's more modern messenger apps.
But you know, there's basically nothing that hasn't been around before, in some form. I mean, just take Nanni's letter of complaint about Ea-Nasir's bad copper LOL. We've always behaved the same, it's just the tech that kept changing :)

Also an European, but kind of a dinosaur LOL. I never got into social-media, don't have any ~modern~ accounts on it. Just wanted to say we were meme-ing before it was cool anyway :D
By 1999 when Armin went back, we were playing HoMM2 on Pentium2 computers, LOL, and those were awesome times. And we still had a functioning Netscape Navigator, LOL. (That's Firefox's grand-daddy, LOL).
If he still can remember those times, all power to him, LOL. I am in awe of how far technology got already, TBH.
all the alphas in every BL is whipped. They have to give up themselves so the bottoms can be happy. Did you not…
We grew up with cheesy Regency novels and Hallmark movies, nobody trusts fiction overmuch and neither did we.
It's just escapism, and even if it's cute, while it does create some high standards... TBH that's not always a bad thing. We're each of us unique, we should be demanding to get the best of each other in a relationship. Most role-models come from family and close friends, and not fiction.
How dumb can someone be like armin com'on you have literally meet TD secretary many times but you still doesn't…
So at this time I have quite a few obssessive interests in some actors. I am PRETTY SURE they don't have the slightest idea I exist, LOL.
In the past life, the fanclub was a normal thing for Armin, he didn't need to get too involved with it, just accept it. That there was a TD mastering the fanclub for him didn't even leave an impression. In this present time, TD is everywhere, and everything is still kind of overwhelming to him, I think. He's meeting TD for the first time ever, in his mind, so it's a whole new relationship.

That's love, baby. Because otherwise how can the shou rule the world? (Yes I'm always on the side of the shou/uke/bottom LOL.)
Lan Zhan wasn't totally whipped though (most of the time), for example. Wen KeXing was a total menace too (to his shou and everybody else in the world, too, hahaha~)
And the gong in the danmei novel this one most resembles to (yes I know the source is a Thai BL, but they're moving almost in paralel TBH, even with some clear differences) is a gangster-type lover, LOL. I haven't read the Thai BL novel for Reset, but his Chinese counterpart rules with an iron fist in a velvet glove.
Safe to say, yes, specifically in Thai for year 2025.However, we currently have Revenged Love from China, and…
Already finished airing (but there's talk of a S2 or maybe even a S3), IMHO Top Form is the best Thai BL this year (so far.) Which definitely doesn't mean I'm not enjoying Reset because I do, but that one has the benefit of having ended already so I know it can't go bad at any point anymore, LOL.
For someone who been through some sh!t Armin be out here too trusting. No care he sounds crazy talking like the…
He's fifty in real lived years, he doesn't give a damn about other people's impressions of him LOL - trust me, when you get to fifty, nothing much matters even if probably important. Because ain't nobody got time for that.
He has to re-learn how to be meek and grow slowly AGAIN. Maybe it hasn't even landed for him either :D
Anyone dares slander Armin:Thada: *murderous look*Weynai: COPY THAT. Okay sweetie, talk some more English to me…
The more it goes on, the more it again looks similar to Rebirth of a Movie Star (the danmei novel.)
The ex-FWB showing up is like the Qiu Qian's FWB in the band who just HAD to show Bai Lang he was once like him. The ML fixing everything up for the MC - also there. The cuter than cute assistant - Hong Hong (with an extra love interest.) The only one still missing is Xiao Hai and I sadly think there won't be a counterpart to him. Charlie or Pharit equals Kang Jian too, like, LOL, it makes me miss that story so much. I just wish they had the guts to do that instead. Or do that one, too.
Because that's one beautiful story.
ETA I still like it very much that Armin goes psycho from time to time, LOL - he DIED people!! He's entitled to freak out when he meets people who might've had a hand in his murder.
But on that note, it wasn't that long ago that he was ruling over parties like that Rolls party like it was nothing. How come he's shy to be in the midst of one again? It wasn't even a few months since his big win and afterparty, LOL.
Okay sweetie, talk some more English to me LOL. And I do cheer him and Janine on! They're so cute, they'd give everyone diabetes if they get together :D
I don't know about (most of) the others, but My Stand-In is pure danmei (based on a Chinese BL novel). And I've…
Do you mean enemies-to-lovers then? Because it sounds more like that.
And if so, this doesn't seem to be one of them. KinnPorsche and TharnType might be like that, not certain about Love in the Air (maybe one of the pairings?) I don't know the others though so I can't say.
My Stand-In still is danmei (though the drama is Thai-made), and no, it's not enemies-to-lovers either (though I'll give that Ming is a shmuck and I loved to hate him in both the novel and the drama, LOL.)
Wow, mid-drama this turned from psycho(logical) dark drama into Shiiku Gakari Rika (TetsuxRika included), but with violence instead of sex and kept on like that through the end. (If you're not actually interested in deep abuse/violent sex/rape/ yaoi, don't look up that manga.)
From the three (I think) highschool fighting dramas I've watched this year, this might be the best. The fights are raw and pretty much as realistic as possible in a drama (you want to hear those punches land, LOL), there are actual reasons for the fights, and the ending kind of sells a possible second season.
(Also is it just me or does UiGyeom kind of looks like JongHo from time to time? I kept coming out from the drama with the feeling I've seen the maknae getting mad at people for real LOL).
Anyway, this deserves a way better rating than the other dramas within the genre that are better known. The only thing it lacks is a catchy rap fighting song, everything else is here. Watch this if you want actual fights.
If there's going to be a second season sometime, I'll watch that.
Totally random ass question: does bls like kinnporsche, tharntype, love syndrome, love in the air, unforgotten…
I don't know about (most of) the others, but My Stand-In is pure danmei (based on a Chinese BL novel). And I've read a lot of MM, BL, danmei, yaoi and whatever else this genre is called but never heard about a slap and kiss sub-genre.
im abt to watch this, would yall say its better than JOL?
Each is very good in their own way. This one is way better though, IMHO (it's my kind of story and my kind of pacing and my kind of character-driven plot.)
Don't expect them to be similar though, because they are not. That's part of what makes them so good.

I'll trust the kids to be okay on the long run.
Also, head over to youtube, there are some amazing FMVs for both the drama and the donghua. AND the BTS :D
