Title Buried Hearts Spoiler
I actually thought TY was going to kill himself, wow SU killed him.
You know what... you're right. The way he was struggling in business when he wanted to study music, the way his mother was strangling him and basically chained him to his pointless life, having to live it for her instead of his own... I guess SeonWoo did him a favour. But he did it the Cha way, unexpectedly with a stab in the back, as they all did from that family.

There were clues Seonu didn't trust the Cha's, but in NO WAY did I think he was going to push Taeyan to death…
I think the idea was that he was the weakest Cha. Everybody else is A-OK with murder for any which reason (DeokHui got her own husband and SDJ's mom killed, Chairman Cha got HID killed and tried to have SDJ killed too, SeonWoo pushed TaeYun, the useless daughter tried a lot of things that didn't work, even YEN poisoned SDJ accidentally LOL). So when TaeYun was so friendly and innocent, it naturally led to him being eliminated by the snake nest of his family.

SeonWoo was a "reformed" delinquent. I guess the reform didn't take all that well.

I liked the ending. It's perfect for the way it took toward the end. And TBH I liked SeonWoo the most in the last…
I KNEW SeonWoo WASN'T joking when he pushed him the first time. But maybe it took a bit of time to get enough courage to actually do it - which makes it in cold blood, which makes HIM a cold-blooded killer, exactly like Chairman Cha deserves.

I won't say I care if he executes the rest of the family - good riddance to them too.

I'm just happy SDJ didn't take the last step. Even if it cost him his mental health, even if that last scene is left to interpretation, I don't think he'll kill himself. I think he has all that money and will probably go do some work in his sister's name or something. And best of all, even if he kissed her at the end - it was definitely a kiss goodbye, not a passion-inspired kiss. That closed the door on that romance and if YEN can't see it, she's just as stupid as we've always seen her.

And hey, if SDJ has depression and even got to have nightmares and hallucinations... We all also know a certain Dr. Kang who also happens to be a psychiatrist. He should give it a try. Just saying.

This was a great ride - as I've repeatedly said, I do love good makjang and this was perfect. I wish they'd have left HID a little bit more time to try and get forgiven, but at least he came back for a few minutes. And the way SDJ handled Yeom was also good - even if he's not dead, everything he had is gone and he went from one prison to another. I wonder how he managed not to go crazy in a tiny SECRET secret room, LOL, nothing to do all day but fold paper money into planes. Ugh. Then again, he managed to get a bit of revenge in poisoning SeonWoo's mind.

Though I don't think it took a great effort - in the very beginning, SeonWoo was presented as an ex-delinquent, so the criminal mindset was always there. Enough crumbs were planted for everyone to get their own preferred ending - like for example, I choose to believe when, if ever, SDJ comes back he has pretty good circumstantial evidence that SeonWoo and TaeYun were together at the time TaeYun "fell"/was pushed. So sooner or later, SeonWoo will also get his punishment.

Overall - good-looking leads, great emotional conflicts, enough action, AMAZING music, great entertainment. It had it all.

... Now I guess it'll be some time before another great makjang comes along... I'll be having withdrawal symptoms LOL.

ETA Oh wait I just remembered - the MAIN reason he did the go-away-looking-at-the-sunset-with-a-gun thing was probably YEN's complete and total approval for him having killed Yeom (he did not, she didn't know, but still). She was all over him, "good job!" - WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F!CK WOMAN!! At least PRETEND to be disappointed or say something like he didn't have another option, don't just go "great thing you're a heartless killer, that's what I love about you!!" THE HELL!!!

No seriously, every Cha family member has murder in their blood. Maybe it's a good thing TaeYun fell. At least we could think of him as being the normal one.

I liked the ending. It's perfect for the way it took toward the end. And TBH I liked SeonWoo the most in the last ep, LOL, a snake's son remains a snake. Chairman Cha got exactly what he deserved, even if he won't remember it the next second. Good riddance!

And hey, some charas even got HEAs - I mean, Yeom HuiCheol didn't remain married to YEN so he had a very lucky escape LOL.

Haven't had time to watch the last ep yet because work - but the BGM OST is out and it's still just as amazing as it was from the very beginning :) This goes on the replay list.

On Heesu in Class 2 Apr 12, 2025
I'll be honest, this is quite a letdown. We're 60% in, almost nothing is moving in the BL section, while the hetero romance takes most of the screen time. I thought things were going in the right direction with ep5 but they just reverted to the very little BL and way too much het of the previous eps.

I feel bait-and-switched with every set of weekly eps. We're a good bit past the halfway point, I don't think this will have a satisfactory conclusion even if they end up together. With this pace it ends with a half-hearted confession or cheek kiss and that's it. I guess if I need to see what the story is all about I should actually only be reading the manhwa.

... No. They planned to meet Chairman Cha at SDJ's house, at Chairman Cha's request. But instead of Chairman Cha, the killer came. I mean, it's not that complicated, seriously.

LOL, okay, let's try again. It's not the relationship that is fake. Yeom told Cha that the REVEAL is fake and that they did not just realised they were father and son, but had always known (or for a very long time, anyway), so that HID marrying DeokHui and then later SDJ coming to work for Chairman Cha was all part of a grand plan of theirs.

Sorry, I can't simplify it even more. I hope this is clear enough for you now.

Yeom told Chairman Cha that SDJ is HID's son. Then he added that the reveal of the relationship is fake, that they both planned to enter DaeSan and steal if from the Cha family from the very beginning, that if SDJ gets a foot inside the conglomerate, he and HID will never allow SeonWoo to get the power.

So Chairman Cha and Yeom had a nice little side talk, then when SDJ came to tell Chairman Cha of the fact he just learned HID was his father, Chairman Cha decided to "hear him out" and set up a meeting between the three of them at SDJ's house. There they went unsuspecting and waited for him, while the killer was closing in. They trusted him to play fair and at least listen to them before making any decisions, so that they both drank (and that seriously impaired any meager fighting skills they might have had.) BOTH were supposed to die that night, if HID didn't take a very high risk and died for it.

The main thing though is - Chairman Cha IMMEDIATELY made the decision. He never intended to listen to their side of the story, he and Yeom sent the killer to the place where the victims were waiting.

Again, that's not rational. Not for who these two people are (especially HID, his son-in-law). I first thought it was because the dementia made him unreasonable so it was mostly an impulse, but all the days AFTER he was highly functioning, almost as if he never had the dementia at all. The killing made him more aware, eugh.

He and Yeom agreed and baited both SDJ and HID to wait for Chairman Cha and be killed. Because at that time they both still trusted him.

Even if he didn't ever care for SDJ and considered him an outsider, HID was his son-in-law and the father of his grandson. Both had been by his side for very long years. And yet, he immediately plans HID's death - no shred of remorse - just because Yeom tells him there's some conspiracy between HID and SDJ.

That is not rational. He has dementia, but that's not an excuse. The killing decision is so sudden and out of the blue, it might be his actual true mindset and not just a stress response.

All the power, none of the responsibility. I 100% see his POV. That's the best position - you get to plan and…
Until he's boss and they come to him for everyday's money.

... I am pretty certain he'll get on top of things. But as in the preview - at what price?

Title Buried Hearts Spoiler
I am quite unsure this drama knows this is the second to last episode, and I feel it will be too late to solve…
Nah, I think the succession goes exactly as you said, and he becomes chairman of DaeSan Energy but when the time to pick a family heir comes, he picks himself. (He has friends in the board, the family doesn't have a reasonable heir, and he DOES have 2 trillion to back up his ambition.)

There's no other of his own motivations remaining - he said he was going to plan to become Chairman of the whole DaeSan group but was aware that was a pipe dream and thought to aim high in order to settle for some branch of it, at most. And then he planned to marry YEN and they'd be living HEA.

But now Chairman Cha betrayed him, there's nobody on his side, he lost YEN (I really don't see them coming back together, though this is makjang it may yet happen...) He's about to kill Yeom to get his chairman position. Once he sells his soul for that, there won't be any going back. He'll just get there, get the position... and keep it.

And in the background, the family tears itself apart - and I don't even care. Good riddance!

Huh Joonho's performance in this is so good
He's a good father in Officer Black Belt, but he doesn't have a lot of scenes. Also very good acting there.

ETA Wait, I meant the actor who plays HID, LOL - Lee HaeYoung. Sorry, my bad.

Sadly, all things point to a sad ending (not expecting death or anything, but general unhappiness.)

I think they're going with every son follows the father's road. Chairman Cha turned into a crazy killer (even if he doesn't do it himself), why shouldn't SeonWoo?

And we have HID and the ending of ep 15. We'll see what happens to SDJ in the end...

Ohsh!t our hero is no more. Truly the son of his father *sad tears*When YJS got in that car, I knew what was going…
OMG the cheek of Chairman Cha! So he MADE the killing happen and allowed/planned it with Yeom, but now he's going to sell him off to get brownie points with SDJ in order to have him help SeonWoo.

And THEN he says - "I was being carried by my son, not my grandson. There's a difference between the back of a Cha son and the back of a Heo son. Like day and night" - YOU IDIOT SDJ is right HERE and he IS also a Heo son (even if illegitimate). Like, how callous can you freaking be?! Idiot. I hope SeonWoo does serious damage to that house - he likes playing with fire, let's see him do it. I double-dare him. Burn the house down, SeonWoo, you can do it!!!!

Oh and poor sad wet-shoes YEN coming on to say "oooh you shouldn't have apologised to me, when your father killed your mother AND my father". SDJ's dead eyes told us where that little sad bit of romance is heading. He checked out already.

Which leads me to... OMG he's doing it. He's in process of making his first actual kill. Maybe he only planned it just in case the prosecution sent YJS home... but to kidnap, drug and hide him away dead or alive for at least one month... That's not the SDJ we've known. But he would be a son stepping in his father's footsteps. I think he's already lost all hope and is now moving by inertia...

I really really wish someone comes and slaps him awake until it's too late for him to be saved.
