Title Buried Hearts Spoiler
I'm rewatching the ending, HID hit the couch first, he didn't land directly on the floor. He's probably alive.

Mme Ji, SeonWoo's mom, is actually Mme Chu, also SeongHyeon's mom. That look she threw to HID was highly suspicious.…
I don't think Chairman Cha knows what YJS wanted to do. Maybe he even thought he was going to SDJ's house and talk it out. But then, he can't tell morning from evening anymore, I guess his memory is cooked and that's the writer's excuse for it.

Still, yet ANOTHER betrayal from the Cha family. Let's say HID survives and tells all, LOL, that would bring the whole house down. And they would deserve it.

DeokHui might have wanted to kill them, but it would only have happened in the heat of rage, not cold-bloodedly. She threatened Mme Ji too - what did she actually DO, though? Nothing. She maybe intended to have HID ask YSJ for an intervention, but on herself, other that a killing in the heat of the moment, she's unable to do much. Still wondering what's Sec. Gong's thing though (other than being addicted to Kopiko now, LOL). She and DeokHui are thick as thieves.

We still have three eps. I THINK Mme Ji IS Mme CHU (I really really REALLY want that twist.)

Imagine SDJ the nameless orphan saddled with all the brothers in the drama, LOL - he's TaeYun's older bro (it kills me when TaeYun calls him hyung), he might be SeonWoo's older bro (if my theory about his mom is right), he's drama-only-not-really the brother of YEN, is there any other kid around he could be tied to? :D Where are the useless' daughter's kids, they could be around him too, just sayin'.

ETA I just realised - isn't it funny we have a Cha family, a Chu family and the thug killer who just came calling is named Cho, though? And then SDJ is a Seo, EunNam is a Yeo, the writer really likes short one-syllable names :D

Give all the awards to Park Hyun Sik and Lee Hae Young. They hard carried all the episode emotional, and by far,…
SDJ's initial motivation and all his plans of going up in DaeSan were due to him wanting to impress his father (that he thought was Professor Lee).

It kind of shows he's missing a father figure, after never having one before the initial assassination attempt, and later losing Mr. Ko almost immediately after being taken in with YeonJoo and her mom.

I felt that in that scene - after SDJ and HID both had a week to steam inside with their new knowledge - they were like two tired boxers trying hard to find some weakness on the other, to land some punches and make it hurt. But HID was also acting like taunting SDJ into blaming him, accusing him. ANYTHING, so he could continue not feeling remorse. I liked that scene a lot.

And the last scene - if both survive they're going to turn into tee-totallers LOL. If only SDJ survives, he'll never touch the freaking egg yolked soju again (and Chairman Cha doesn't really deserve his loyalty either. I don't care he has dementia, and I don't want him to pretend/really not remember plotting to test SDJ and setting him up for the kill.)

Woke advocates are narcissistic. And leftists have to be woke.Do you know why?Because leftists believe the left…
Where did I say that part of my comment was about Trump, though? Yet you instantly thought of him.

You know what he and his ilk are. You just don't want to admit it. And it's not my purpose in life to be your wake-up call, if you didn't hear that call by now, it's probably not going to happen, but then again - that really is not my problem.

i can't believe the chairman betrayed dongju even tho i know why he did it but still i loved their bond that evil…
I don't think he knew what Yeom intended when he set it up. He might've actually forgotten he was supposed to go there too, or maybe Yeom managed to keep him away.

But he was indeed quick to distrust, and not even ask SDJ's side of the story. I guess his mind is really going away fast.

Seriously i don't know what to tell after episode 13, i mean literally in every episode main lead is injured and…
There were 9 attempts on his life. His mother and his adoptive sister and her parents died (though I'm not really sure about mom's death now that they fell into a river and not on the road somewhere so the bodies could be counted.) There are many more targets, LOL. And HID is not dead yet, either.

I want to see him take a nuke to that house and light it all up.

Oh... I guess TaeYun remains a cinnamon bun (yay!) Then again, we'll see if he changes his mind after today's…
Mme Ji, SeonWoo's mom, is actually Mme Chu, also SeongHyeon's mom. That look she threw to HID was highly suspicious. There's something there between them, even if he might not remember her.

"I'll explain everything once it's all over" - these are FAMOUS LAST WORDS material... One of them is going to die, aren't they? I just hope it's not SDJ but by now they're setting him up to be a tragic hero. Let's just hope if anyone really dies it's not SDJ.

Wow, ain't HID something?! He's suffering because he tried to kill his son 4 times, when he didn't know. What if SDJ hadn't been his son, then was it okay to kill someone else's son?! And what about YSH and the kid's mom? He didn't even mention it. Like if they were extras and only the fatherhood part mattered. And he's not truly remorseful either, he even put it in clear words - to admit to what he did means sacrificing the things he earned through it and he's not ready to do that, ever. (I don't think he'll die, maybe he'll get into a coma or something. Or become amnesiac, LOL, wouldn't that be something? Feed him some Kopiko if he's in a coma, see if he wakes up).

Oh wow, those weren't blanks. It's just HID being a terrible shooter LOL. I mean HE'S RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, THREE METERS AWAY, WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU SHOT HIM IN THE LEG?! For a seasoned killer, HID is the most incompetent killer ever. LOL.

TBH, I loved all their interractions. SDJ almost forgot about DaeSan and the overall plot, and he's still very cold towards YEN - he might not be over that shock - but he was VERY invested in HID's reactions. And all those scenes were perfect. If he doesn't die, I hope HID goes to prison so he could have a few more stare-downs with SDJ.

DeokHui being so shaken by whose son SDJ is... What, remorses? She wants HID out of DaeSan, well, that love went out like a light. Maybe she tells YEN who killed her father for real.

Which brings me to Chairman Cha... Oh wow, old man, you really suck. I know, dementia and all... but WTF?! This was your trusted aide for ten years, your right-hand man and the keeper of your secrets and you decide to just "test" him after immediately believing Yeom? Not even directly ask SDJ what's that all about? And then you take Yeom's suggestion and set him up (I know he probably didn't know what would happen, but still) to be killed, YET AGAIN (what are we at, drama - wait, 2 childhood accidents, his father not wanting him from the beginning though probably his mother couldn't have aborted the pregnancy in those times anyway, 2 times being shot, one time being poisoned with cinnamon, that time when he was ambushed in the dead VP's app't, that time when Yeom almost let him shoot himself (still loving that scene though), and now being almost knifed to death... OMG WE'RE OUT OF LIVES, THIS WAS HIS 9TH AND PROBABLY LAST OMG!!!!!!)

And after all that, no preview??! *throwing furniture around* DAMMIT!!

It worked in 2x for all the villain's scenes LOL.

Anyway, it's now done. The one scene that actually was great in the last eps was turning on the TV to (through an amazing coincidence as always) watch the news that someone had escaped and getting a porn movie instead. YES!!! Let's see if anyone else gets the itch to lampoon that trope :D

His eyes are beautiful as always, half a star up just for that.

This started really well, got really bogged down by the midway point while the romance got underway, there's zero anything that made sense about how NIS agents are supposed to work, but there are a few action scenes that take back some of the start's spirit and make it palatable by the end.

If you go in, don't expect it to keep the initial vibe. Oh well. Here's hoping he gets some actual action dramas, he's pretty much made for it. Or if it has to be comedy, then get an actually good writer. Peace and out.

Trump. Putin. Orban (in Hungary). Erdogan. Netanyahu. That's just for starters and because they're the most visible. The subtler ones are people like Meloni, who would really love to give it a try, but she's not that stupid or courageous (yet). We're not even going to include all the authoritarians who don't even care for being called out because their countries kind of allow it, like the Saudis or the other kings/sheiks/whatever they are still acting like it's full-on Middle Ages came again. Hey, Yoon here, too - instituting Martial Law because his wife is corrupted and he didn't want to have her go to a trial for it. That's pretty democratic ain't it (because a state of martial law kind of suspends ALL rights and the army gets to do whatever unpunished (luckily they were the only cool-headed ones that night). And not even about to make the SK/NK cold war into a hot one again.

I am an European. Even I know about the 5th Ammendment (the US movies made sure of that, even if in most cases it's about self-incrimination). But there's also the part where it says that you can't be held without due process, with no qualification that it would apply only to citizens, it applies to all persons. I'm not a lawyer... but one can't help but wonder how come people get disappeared from the streets of the world's most vociferous "freedom-loving" country as if they're innanimate objects and not persons. Who used to have rights, but not any more, because the complacent are allowing it.

I'm sure they'll enjoy it when it comes to their own turn to be disappeared. Martin Niemoller got it in one, after first falling for it, too.

Where are those good people on the right lately then? It's been so quiet on that side while the authoritarians/would-be dictators and the far-right are walking all over other people's rights, and when it's not quiet, it's a resounding approval for the extremists. Where are the protests of the right (center, assuming) on the breaking of the social contract and the removal of HUMAN rights? (I don't mean the US only, either - there's plenty to choose from, some pretty obvious and some pretty insidious but always present. Case in point this article here, if one needs examples.)

Let's not talk about manipulation/propaganda when most of the media is controlled by the richest people and all of them are supporting the far-right throughout the world. We all know big words to use for the right (centre or not) - words like misinformation and projection, for example. There are no saints and devils in this one. But it's just one of the political aisle that called empathy a sin.

Yeah, they just managed to VAT themselves against the rest of the whole world, including uninhabited islands. The level of incompetency and pure cowardice from everyone surrounding him is beyond a measurable range. Whatever, they're going to get to the FO phase sooner or later.

You know, when we were in school learning about what lead to WWII we used to disbelief the easy way German citizens just kind of... let it happen (besides those who were actually contributing to the problem). Now we get such a process in real time, it's not so unbelievable anymore, sadly. The apathy from those who could have a say in it is astounding. Oh well, I guess the world had it good (most parts of it, anyway) for a while. Maybe the radioactive cockroaches will make a better world next, LOL.

After ep10 - WITAF did I just watch... I'm hanging on to just finish it, since I really liked the beginning, but it's turning into a painful struggle. Let's just hope the final eps redeem the original plot a bit. Maybe 2x will help.

You don't know he didn't set everything up because he wants to have HID by the neck (maybe they're filming or…
I want GuHo to kill him (even by accident, LOL) because just imagine Yeom's face if it happens :D

As for why the bullets could be blanks (maybe they were real and HID's usual luck when trying to kill SDJ made him target the body and not the head, and by now SDJ expects assassination attemps and wore a bulletproof vest) - first, the 2 trillions are still being controlled by SDJ. He even said so - if he gave them some of the money to show his good intentions, he did it to prove he still has the password but didn't give them a lot or the access to the actual account. And second, now SeonWoo is inside DaeSan, he needs all the help he can get to work through the ranks ASAP before Chairman Cha kicks the bucket or goes completely afflicted by his dementia. SDJ was always on SeonWoo's side and knows all the ropes, it makes sense to have SDJ guide SeonWoo until he's not needed any more, and then Yeom could (try to) get rid of him.

Happily there're still 4 more eps left, there's time to tie up all loose ends and bring it to a satisfying end.

You know the comments on here will get shut down. MDL should avoid political articles. It never ends well.
On a site where there's talk of political dramas any given day... we shouldn't talk about real-life issues because politics.

Then maybe there shouldn't be talk about the doctors' strike, or about the military laws of SK (that take 2 years out if each and every actor's life), or about the laws that allow a drug offender to rot in prison but a rapist can just chill out for a few years and then return to the industry clean as snow. Or about Xinjiang. Or about the Moonies or Christians or Buddhists (because they're never in a drama). Or about the Uighurs in general. Or about...

I think you all get the idea. Let others muzzle you and protest it, don't muzzle yourself.
