He's kind of right, even if he's probably misunderstanding it. She did come to him and he got shot. She did take him to see his adoptive sister and she got killed. She did leave him without even letting him know and he got to witness her marriage unaware.

And now... he ate all those cookies thinking it was HER doing. That she either made them herself or told someone about the allergy. That face was the face of someone forcing down poison to wash the aftertaste of being betrayed by the love of his life.

For his sake... I really hope he remains doubtful about her, even if she comes around.

And what the hell was HID's reaction?!!! He was trembling with anticipation for something - what, either seeing SDJ die (and taking the 2T with him), or seeing him suffer?! Or maybe - just maybe... is the cinnamon allergy something genetic and he has a new idea about that?...

I was all in with the crazy old geezer scene - one second, SDJ is preparing to blow Yeom's brain off, the next he's threatening to blow his own brains off and Yeom went totally ballistic, LOL. "No, no, no, you didn't steal anything from me" - LOL, is that how it's played?! The saddest thing was SDJ was probably not even joking, in the heat of the moment. He really does have a lot of reasons to become depressed enough to consider it... I just hope he gets involved too much in the vengeance to dwell more on depressive thoughts.

I want SeonWoo and TaeYun to become friends, can we have that?

Ahhhh, such a good makjang. And action too - whatever did they do with the goon though? I think they want to keep him as a witness or something... but the Administrator seems inclined to hunt them down and find his man to take back. I hope SDJ doesn't forget about him.

I should've waited til this was over so I could binge it, the wait is a killer.

I know it was a political move. It doesn't matter though - he DID send a warrant for the arrest, he DID mismanage the arrest (I mean in both timelines, too!), he DID skip punishing the culprits until it was too late the first time and almost too late the second time.

He was the Emperor, it's not like he's a prisoner of the court or a puppet monarch, either. And in both cases, he does not have a proper reason to even do it in the first place, just rumours and innuendos. If he's a good ruler, he wouldn't act like that based on simple rumours, he'd be in top of things and manage the court better.

Anyway - Song Mo was rebelling for a long time in ep1 (the scene where the Crown Prince commits suicide is the one where I got caught in the story, the CP actor acted flawlessly). SM and his army didn't just up and turned arms in a sudden decision, he was also plotting with the traitors in court. (Which is also a weakness in part of the Emperor - so if the traitor is in his family, he can close his eyes and lie still and not take notice. Because of blood. Others - including his best friend and a great general, and his family, and his soldiers etc - they can die or be subjected to torture and whatnot, as long as the Emperor doesn't have to punish his own sons).

...That's not a green flag Emperor at all.

If you're interested in seeing if there's a difference, try Wonderland of Love. She's much more vivacious, involved, acting her character than in this one.

The original warrant came from him. He's the origin of all evil things that happened to his friend and his family (and in the initial timeline, that also led to Song Mo and Dou Zhao's respective deaths, since it kick-started his falling into treason).

The ML is new to me, but I've seen Jiang Tian before and she was acting way better. It's not the character either, she's not really trying (as in, at all).

I like the dog, he's the best performer of the whole cast LOL.

The one from Blossom had his best friend forever arrested and allowed him to be murdered through non-intervention, all based on a simple doubt. I wouldn't call him a green flag at all.

He was so smooth with the "punishment" LOL, I bet he was just waiting for a chance to get him inside and not cause waves in the court hahaha~

Poor eunuch: "My lord... you can't punish him, he's not part of the Imperial Family. It's the law."
The Emperor: "Ok then, I'll MAKE him an Imperial Prince! There, now I can punish him legally!"

Be warned the drama doesn't end like the novel (in that they don't include the epilogue from the novel).

Main cast is Luo YunXi, Bai Lu, Deng Wei and Chen DuLing (so yeah, they're all amazing.) It's a (very) abusive xianxia love story (well, it's xianxia) where the FL undergoes the total destruction of her sect and basically the whole world because of the Devil God and she's sent to the past to stop him from becoming the Devil God. Obviously that includes killing him. But when she meets him in the past, he's just a human and they fall in love (despite him being unable to feel or recognise emotions). So now she has the dilemma of being guilty of destroying the man she loves - and who is still innocent - or allowing him to begin becoming the Devil God who will eventually bring on the catastrophe to destroy the world.

It has the most amazing colours you could ever see in a xianxia (no more pure white or pale blues only, the costumes are rife with colours), a great soundtrack, great acting, amazing special effects (for a xianxia, that's saying some). And LYX is the Elfish prince of xianxia, LOL.

Also be warned that there's a contest of blood-spitting that TTEOTM won over any other xianxia drama (Cheng Yi's Love & Redemption lost miserably, LOL), and while FoF was airing, we joked that they wouldn't spit (a lot of) blood because TTEOTM used up all the fake blood reserves hahaha~

Love for Love's Sake (actual SK BL, LOL) - modern, good acting, nice pace, good OST. If you want a HEA.

Oh No! Here Comes Trouble - not BL either, but great bromance, and you wanted something similar in feeling to FoF, so you picked pain anyway LOL.

She didn't even get the shares yet. If marrying who they told her to marry means getting the shares, how come she doesn't have them in her own name yet? 'Cause the grandpa offered her a divorce from her current husband if she wanted SDJ, but she wouldn't get the shares then.

Which means she doesn't haven't them now. When does she get them?! When he dies? When the inheritance is distributed? But then why should she need to marry if she's not going to get them now anyway?!

That cover story doesn't make sense. I hope it's just used to show us she's not really all that in love with him as he is with her (since he actually did give up the chance to cosy up to the DaeSan heiress - when he didn't know yet- and picked her over everything.) And he already had plans to infiltrate DaeSan as deeply as he could and take control - his secret identity definitely has a link to that plan.

And if she doesn't really love him... then 1. either she actually falls deeper and sacrifices enough for him to earn him back or 2. she dies for him somehow and frees him from his unequal love to find someone else better.

PS SDJ and HID had great erotic chemistry together, LOL. That move, that BGM, the way HID looks at SDJ at times, hahaha~ I had a theory that SDJ could be HID's actual bio son, and after ep6 I am not sure I want to keep it, since it would be at least sketchy LOL, the way these two move around each other...

Dammit, still one more day. This is an obsession, LOL. I hope they keep it up just like this, I'm all in the mood for a bloody revenge arc.

Well, obviously it's the best way to cover up the murder (if Na Wei is alive, obviously Na Wei wasn't killed off by anyone, right? And nobody was going to miss the actor.) And then there's his actual wealth and business contacts, and then there's the drug-spreading network he already had in place. Easier to replace him than rebuild everything from scratch, risking to get caught.

The actor got the wealth, exposure and role of his life, so he was all in with it.

The ones who suffered were ZhiBai's family and Xia, but I guess MeiHua left that as a problem for another day, as long as it helped her then and there.

Yeah well, I'll be very crass here... She was going to do to him the same thing next day that he was doing to her that night, only without the foreplay. And without the protection too, so to speak.

So yeah. She was "buying an indulgence" in advance.

So this is an old-fashioned thriller for old-fashioned people, let's watch it anyway :D

Who cares, everyone has their own taste and there's no accountability for that. I like makjang and I like thrillers, so I'll watch this unless it turns completely brain-dead. To each their own, let's all live and let live :D
