I'm at about the tenth pervasive cliche so far and I surely missed a lot of the minor ones. I don't mind - this is what makjang always is, and I'm all in for it.

Ep7 isn't even out though. And everybody does hate on the FL for good reason. We're not halfway through yet anyway, there's time to do even more stupid things, LOL.

What WAS that feet-lock though??? It definitely looked like SDJ suddenly turned it into some erotic game with HID, hahaha~ HID was so flustered, he didn't know what to do with himself then - predictably - decided enough is enough and picked up the weights to smash them on SDJ's head, hahaha~

ETA The scene started with a slow sexy theme too - kind of like something by The Weeknd, all ready for 50 Shades of Prey. Like SDJ is ready to start playing with all of them and he's a nice good-looking not-so-stray tomcat.

I am in LOVE with this drama. So much out-of-this-world makjang!!!

And now comes the thriller. I liked how they made the switch - the WToDTM drop-kicked Sister Agnes into another universe, and the both of them stood there frozen as time passed by. I almost thought he was imagining.

But it did work, so Director Yeom gets another bazillion demerits for killing one of his childhood friends, so now he won't EVER get his trillions back, LOL. He just doesn't know it yet. I hope SDJ plays them all like the fools they are.

And I also hope he still ditches EunNam and picks the doctor. I hope the doctor isn't someone who will betray him, too. He needs someone to count on.

This is AMAZING. I was so in need of a good makjang :D This delivers on every front. The WhiteTruckofDoomTM included :D

Did anyone else have a Spaceballs flashback though when SDJ started telling them the code? "1... 2... 3... 4..." then everybody started laughing (I know it's part of the plot, but they were really into it, LOL. So was I :D) I was almost expecting Director Yeom to say that's his luggage password... and then realise he's surrounded by assholes hahaha~ I was even thinking that huge black helmet would definitely fit LOL.

Okay now we're in for the revenge part. Let it come!!!!

HaeSong's original name is SiHyun (you hear it in the childhood flashbacks). He's the son of the agent who disappeared 22 years back and was YuJeong's father's best friend. So he - Agent An - took HaeSong in. They're not related in any way, except through adoption (though they're not mentioning anything legal, maybe he became the kid's guardian while the search went on for the missing father.)

I don't know how long it takes in SK to declare someone dead if missing, in my country it's a period of at least 7 years with no contact whatsover (and it has to go to a judge). 22 years is long enough to presume him dead, even if by old age, LOL.

She's still useless as a FL character, all she does is screech like a teenager and that's about it. I had some hope she'd have more poise, given she's their teacher and involved in solving the bullying cases and whatnot, but I guess the writer just wants her to be the comic relief and love interest and that's her point in the story.

Though it WAS funny he promised to protect her and her reaction was "how can he say that with that face of his" LOL. She's no better than the teens in her class gaggling over his good looks.

And yeah, so the father is very probably alive and behind all shenanigans at the school. He probably found the gold, if there was any, and now he can't come out of hiding because he'd have to justify it.

Q1: how come they're basically rich though? Because that house is expensive, what with the vast basement and the skywatching setup too. (And those came before he presumably found the gold, if he ever did.)

Q2: how come YuJeong is at that school though? Since it's very expensive. And coincidentally her father is the best friend of missing agent who was looking for large amounts of gold at the time of his disappearence, and also coincidentally there was nobody else around to take in SiHyun/HaeSong.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Though I'll be honest... this drama's main point of attraction is still the eyecandy and not much else.

At least now she knows he's older and won't be perving over a 17-year old as she believed he was. There's that at least.

Other than that...

I hope he was rescued anyway, and I hope it wasn't the NanWu tribe that did it. I really want him to have a happy life with ChuChu and becoming a spy won't help that.

PS Also, Yue Yang playing a dad is always awesome. I loved him as Daddy Xu in GotD, and he's great in this one, too.

True love is awful. It's like a scratch that's driving you mad and you CAN NOT help but scratch at it. He can't help himself.

She on the other hand... has the shares to use as a balm and for her, it sure works.

1. They don't know if he's actually amnesiac or faking it. He's really smart so he could be faking it, is their take.
2. Even if he's amnesiac, they're trying the hard tech approach LOL, shock him into remembering the password.
3. There has to be some sadistic thing there too - he made things difficult for them, so he ~earned~ some backlash.

Don't ask me why I'm seeing the villains' POV LOL. But they do make sense, even if they're exaggerated. They're just goons, even if they have money, and this is what goons do.

It really did look like they were in some kind of partnership, didn't it? Not really husband and wife. But also, last week's ep, he tried to feel her up and it almost moved into marital rape, so it's not all that clear whatever that is between them, yet.

He's busy being tortured right now, he'll get back to it when it's done.

It's pretty obvious he didn't know until her wedding, and even if he's planning a revenge thing on the chaebol family, she was not part of his plans.

Now though, after they tried killing him, all bets are off. Though I still think he'll try to shelter her since he really does love her. She, on the other hand... has twice picked shares over him. I don't trust her not to do the wrong thing again.

She wants her cake (well... I'm not going to blame her on that, he, errrr, well, the cake looks delicious) but eat it too. That's not true love so she doesn't get an easy-pass redemption arc just because she ~likes~ him so much.

Her grandpa offered her a way out and back to SDJ, she refused it again. So why should anyone care what she feels now, when she thinks she's lost SDJ?!

...Though I'm pretty sure that, because of drama rules, the idiot will end up with her anyway.

Here's hoping she gets killed saving him or something drama-level romantic, so that the good Dr. can get her place and heal him or something, LOL.

Her help is like the arsonist bringing a bucket of water after lighting the whole house on fire, LOL. She has to earn it back and there hasn't been enough time for it - not that she's shown any remorse yet, actually.

Because he chose her over a heiress and she picked shares over him.

Yeah, she's being creepy all over the place. I am not really pleased with (quite) a few of the characters in this drama, TBH, and she's among them. But from time to time, they have her say funny stuff.

... I can't make up my mind if that makes the drama better or worse, LOL.

So you seem to really like revenge plots so why haven't you started on The Devil Judge (NOT The Judge from Hell) yet? And also you seem to enjoy action stories too, so dig into Officer Black Belt (it's on your PTW list anyway). And if we're talking action, why not Bloodhounds? Also, lots of action (and revenge) in Fabricated City. Maybe even Kairos would do, in a pinch.

And if you want to see a masterpiece on revenge served cold (but you have to have PATIENCE), try Nirvana in Fire.
