Imagining what's going on with limited info is half the fun in watching a drama :D

She's EunNam, LOL. They do that, when they go abroad, using more Western-sounding names in order to make it easier for Westerners to pronounce their names (and maybe not stand out so much, or even protect her actual identity a bit, in her case, since she's a heiress and people would pay attention to that).

So do the Chinese, actually. (Like Xiao Zhan's Westernised name is Sean Xiao, or Wang HeDi's name is Dylan Wang.)

The new husband's grandfather was the chief of NIS, even retired he has a lot of connections and they've already done some (a lot of) business together. EunNam's grandfather already paid Yeom a lot of money for his ~patriot fund~, he's billions deep in it. For him, it makes sense to make more legal connections between the families, in order to ensure Yeom's clout protects DaeSan. And she also wants her shares, and that works out in the family's favour.

Whereas DongJoo, while able, is nobody and has no money. So what if she loves him? She doesn't love him enough to get up and leave the table with the shares on it.

The part where SDJ would've gone to court her before he knew who she was isn't planned by the family, but by his helper, Director Yoo (who already got killed for it by now).

Yes, please do give the Bourne trilogy a chance :) (I mean the 2000s movies, though there's a not-bad older adaptation of the novels, starring Richard Chamberlain, and I liked that one, too.)

That first movie really deserves all the credits, and the sequels aren't that bad either. (There's a 4th and then a 5th movie, but we don't talk about those ones too much, LOL).

If Buried Hearts gives SDJ the Bourne treatment, I'm all in for it :D I guess they won't though, since there's a lot of romance and also lots of chaebol-lore involved. But one can dream :D

She thought he was dead - she went to meet him, and the goons kidnapped her back home. She knew they wouldn't let him live if they caught him, and he was unprepared to fight back (case in point, he waved at the man who shot him).

So yeah, she's surprised to see him alive.

I think it's his real name. He might be in the company with his own plans (according to the synopsis), and his real name would stop him.

She was studying abroad before he came to the company. When his secret (or maybe not so secret, 'cause they killed him) help, Director Yoo, wanted to set him up with the heiress, he rejected that chance because he saw EunNam (that he didn't know was the heiress, LOL), and fell for her.

She knows who he is, he only finds out at the wedding. She was living with him and not at the house, and the family was probably okay with that, as long as she agreed to the marriage and didn't make a fuss.

Love is blind, and was for him, too. He just fell for her and never questioned her, even if there were warning signs.

He didn't land his position as DaeSan's factotum yesterday. He's involved a lot deeper than what was shown so far.

But it's a 16-ep drama (finally!), they have time. I think we'll follow along as he re-discovers his past.

I like the amnesia plot. I keep saying this, but maybe people in MDL are a lot younger than I credit them, LOL - this is the actual plot of The Bourne Identity, and that one's a great thriller (watch it, if you haven't already).

I know amnesia is a kdrama trope and they don't use it well all the time, but when it's warranted, I'm okay with it. At least he didn't get it by being hit by a Truck of DoomTM LOL.

I think that is his real name, and SDJ is an alter-ego or maybe his legal name that he chose. The secretary definitely knows that name, too.

I'm waiting to see if HID actually intends to repay SDJ for saving his life... If he's a villain, he won't, but I imagine that's how SDJ escapes the Yeom crime boss. Maybe HID promises Yeom that he'll keep watch on SDJ and the second he remembers, he'll bring him back. Or something. They definitely will torture him, until they're satisfied he doesn't actually remember. But that would definitely save his life - because if they tortured the password out of him, he'd die the next minute. As is... if he convinces them, they'll have to keep him alive for now.

Not yet 10 days. He was supposed to be away for that long and nobody panicked yet he's not back.

I'd bet good money he did have a part in killing the FL's bio dad. But maybe the mom had a hand in it too, who knows...

Why, this is precisely how Bourne starts - including the MC being shot and almost drowning, being rescued by some reclusive guy who can help him, then has to piece back together his past - and it's basically a thriller masterpiece (the novel and the movies too). So I'd allow it, as long as he remembers in time and DOESN'T tell them he remembers, LOL.

He's an old drunkard who tries to remember where else could he have put the pwd, LOL. I mean, we've all been there (drunkards or not). You're trying EVERY place you can think of to find the thing you lost, though you probably are well aware you're never going to find it again, hahaha~

Ohsh!t the ratings. That bad or is this another orchestrated effort to bring down audiences just in case? There have been so many lately on MDL, one can't trust the initial ratings anymore.

So, is Heo Il-Do going to grow a conscience? I think not, but I'm ready to be surprised.

I LOVED the fact they're all locked out of their ready-money LOL. Now they only have the legal ways and those can be tracked.

I guess we'll be seeing a lot of pain next week for SDJ, since he'll definitely be caught and can't remember (YET), but I hope he does a convincing not-remember act, they let him live and THEN he remembers. I wouldn't give them a cent if I were him.

Damned stupid b!tch keeps being a damned stupid b!tch though. She loves those shares more than she ever loved him, tattoo or not. And her husband looks ready to commit marital rape if she's not ready yet. Will it all be worth it for her? Silly chaebol b!tch.

Ah, a good makjang thriller, FINALLY~

ETA You know what, though? I was not totally convinced PHS is really a good actor (because with those looks he doesn't really need to be, LOL). But he and the FL had me ready to swear they (the actors) were freaking in love, those looks and those sizzles each time they touched each other.... And now, he looks at her like she's a rock - a pretty rock to be sure, but he's seen other rocks and this one doesn't stand out too much. Yeah. He has it, at least in that department. Good job, PHS!

Yup, this is going to be my drug-addiction level kdrama of the week, LOL.

I am not ready to forgive DongMin, so there's that. And while the chairwoman's daughter might be also abused, that sure doesn't seem to stop her from being abusive towards those she perceives as lesser. That apple sure didn't fall far from the tree.

Cameos, cameos all over the place. And he's really SHY LOL. I liked that.

I still don't like the FL (the character). She's so unprofessional - I know this is totally a fantasy and whatnot, but trust me... teachers do NOT act like that, if they're sane and normal. I hope she finds out soon and is allowed to fantasize about him peacefully. But if she doesn't, that's really disgusting, sorry (not sorry).

The preview shows the chairman NOT opening the safe because of reasons - he must've either lost/forgotten his password... or DongJoo changed it as a final F U.
