Oh yes. I have seen so many men like this and so many women broken by them.
Of course this and other dramas should explore this type of personality except this drama is trying to make him sympathetic. But the only cure for people like this is to cut him out as the cancerous tissue that he is and move on. This weird circle of the three of them is definitely not it.

Xue cheated on her for years.
Now I am supposed to feel sympathetic to him going mentally unstable to the point of grabbing a heavy ashtray and going after Sheng Yang or ranting over Sheng Yang, while he is already tumbling in the sheets with Shan Shan.
There is nothing complex about him. He bedded everything he could, then Jian Bing left him and found a younger, hotter and very into her man and his ego is hurt. He can't take it that she can find someone like that, better than him because in his head, he is God's gift to women and that JB can move on, especially with someone like SY, is infuriating. That he feels superior to her can easily be seen in their work dynamics too. There is nothing complex here, it's just classic man-child behavior.
It's realistic but the drama is showing him in a sympathetic light which is my problem. No, I don't and won't sympathise with a total scumbag.
LSS is just looking after her own self-interest. She wants to keep Xue and is afraid that he will go back to JB so she is pushing her towards SY. There is nothing altruistic in her actions either.
And while we go through detailed psychology make up of both these people, the leads are still getting short-changed. Not my thing 🤷
Great to see Sheng Yang going his own way with two people who he can trust. It's not going to be easy but it is the absolute best choice. The atmosphere in Jian Bing's company is unhealthy and for him it would have been toxic.
I know some see the relationship of Jian Bing, Shan Shan and the ex-husband as mature. To me it is very unhealthy and seeing the ex-husband so focused on Sheng Yang was really intolerable. He is a man child who doesn't have feelings for JB but his ego is bruised that someone younger, much more handsome and competent would choose her.
I also found the conversation between Shan Shan and JB to be very unhealthy. I just don't understand the dynamics where she is openly talking to JB to be with SY because that will get the ex-husband to forget about her. It's just way out of my ability to comprehend, this type of relationship. Overall I was left with the desire for JB to go and join SY and the other two.
Hockey story and teacher story remain pointless waste of time that is being forced and I skipped as much as I could.
I think now it's become very common in chinese drama to hype more supporting actors and make them famous by casting…
They aren't getting famous. They are getting blacklisted by viewers. The director and the scriptwriter too. Come to Douban and it's probably mild to say people loathe them. They dug up info on them, they are both resource coffees with big background, which is why this happened. CCTV can see the ratings and at what point they fluctuate and they will know too. That's all they are "achieving". What a waste. They would have profited far more if they had a small but good part in a hit drama instead of this. Greed and arrogance, downfall of many.
Out of these two episodes, I think I skipped more than one whole one. They might as well have made the hockey couple the main couple. Ah but nobody would watch so let's use two famous actors and then push nobodies in as a bait and switch.
The beginning of 21 was insanity. I watched and kept thinking the ex husband is mentally unstable. Poor Sheng Yang. At least we got a whole of 5 minutes with leads. At this point that's a win 🙄
It's not a documentary, it's a fictional show and accuracy will be lost at the expense of narrative. If there…
It really is pointless but I do find it funny because the supposed big fans are being calm while the "objective" one is resorting to insults and yelling. Why can't it simply be ok, we disagree, good talk.
Come on madam screenwriter!! 😂😂Make the female lead incompetent at a job she's even been honoured with an…

If there is one thing that is absolutely clear in this drama, it is that Jian Bing doesn't need a savior. She has handled all of the big issues in her life on her own. Coped as she could, vented and moved on. One minor instance of help by someone else in a moment of crisis doesn't change that.
Antis. It's impossible to make up for 1 star ratings that they pile on all Xiao Zhan works and MDL doesn't care, especially as one of the primary groups that does this has a representative in the mods.
I actually thought that the FL handled it very well. She outright called them out on what they did without getting…
I know of no women who would react like that 😂 we will agree to disagree because to me it is very unrealistic.
As for the ML, tomorrow is episode 20 out of 36 and they haven't even started. Their relationship is a few dinners and some conversation after more than half the show and their relationship is supposed to be one of the core themes of the drama. We can't wait for the ML to get more successful because there is no time, they wasted it. They are going to have to rush it now, instead of building it from the start.

People have different opinions. It's strange that a supposed adult and professional hasn't learned that yet.

Just rate all episodes and that's all we can do.
