Yup, this was my score too, & same reasoning; I'm very particular with my ratings & so 8's are the "incomplete or messy but oh-my-heart" zone, lol. Hope the next installment vastly reduces the amount of manipulative editing with belated flashbacks.. or better yet, does away with them completely. This shd have been a 60ish x 1hr eps series with linear storytelling & it would have been truly awesome.

But yes, as long as you get that a little restraint goes a long way. I get it, viewers got upset at the series (for not doing what they "expected"), & you got upset at the viewers (for not voting / reacting as you believe they shd); both are valid feelings, & neither deserves any harassment. That was MY only point.. ^-^

A more kinder way of approaching the topic & encouraging discussion would be smth like, "I'm curious how exactly the series let you down, could name specific examples? Thanks." Or smth similar, lol. Just smth more lighter in tone overall.

While I too tend to find certain disagreements irresistible, I would not have taken all this time to write back if I ~didn't think you were really a generally "nice" person, lol.. actually some of our ratings are quite closely matching too. ^-^

Which you did not accurately answer: would you really elaborate all the reasons why you rated smth LOW to someone harassing you for it? Granted, you seem very liberal with your high scores, so it must be rare indeed for you to be truly disappointed by a series, but not ~impossible, right? So are you saying you wouldn't mind someone pouncing on you outta nowhere to call your opinion worthless, etc? Would you really actually ~welcome rude ppl challenging your own low ratings with bitter, petty insults? (you ARE acting like you have been betrayed- by your fellow fans who DARED to rate your masterpiece so low- despite 1-2-3 etc ratings existing for a reason; quality & enjoyment is ~subjective after all)

Hah, okay so, being rude back is a "lesson" to those others being rude.. right, that totally doesn't actually ~continue the circle of immaturity or anything!

Also, the usage of the term "breadcrumbs" was a reference to the clues being a TRAIL, not a literal description of "size", oy. Way to take smth the wrong way & use it to throw even more insults to ppl who don't see eye-to-eye with your PoV. Very mature indeed. Did you also minor in Passive-Agressive Conversation during that college run?

Once more.. a drama being disliked IS NOT THE END OF THE WORLD. And while that may be just how YOU feel, others can ~equally just feel a "one" accurately represents THEIR feelings too. So learn to live & let live, otherwise you'll spend a lot of time trying to control ppl's feelings & for what? A boosted popularity score?

PS. I've seen many cmts say things I disagreed with, or that were just flat-out wrong (the story was switched, this char never cared about that one, etc), but who. cares. In the end, it's just a drama that is over & done with, so why go all crazy over what can't be changed? I'm choosing to focus on the positive things about it.. ^-^

An actual list of specific examples would take ~ages to write out.. heck I'd love to do my own too, but I don't have the time to rewatch the entire series all over again (someday tho!), & I can't start smth without being able to be as thorough as possible.. besides, many have been stated in other places anyways (if I find a good recap that explains it, I will be sure to link it for you). Plus just writing these cmts via mobile (no desktop access, unfortunately) is very difficult.

I don't personally "hate" it either, I actually enjoyed it a lot! But what you say can be ~reversed too. "I'm just sad that lovers of this show must then come at those who dislike it just because they dislike it (as they are allowed to)." I mean what if someone reads ~your low ratings then starts harassing YOU for them? Are you seriously going to stop & take the time to calmly write them a thousand-word essay on ~why you disliked smth that they are insisting you shd be more appreciative of?? If they curse you out for rating smth a 4-5-6 that THEY are so stubbornly SURE deserves a 8-9-10? How would you feel?

No sensible person is going to respond ~positively to rude treatment, & casual cmters on a basic forum usually don't have time for to write entire theses (sp?), especially when they may be a bit traumatized (the epic trolling by the showrunners of this series cannot be denied, regardless of the "breadcrumbs of truth" sprinkled thru-out the series, lol), & they are ~allowed to feel hurt.

So you can cmt on ratings all you like, of course! Just don't expect college-level analyses in return, especially when starting off with bitterness.. ^-^

You keep claiming that this person never gave you their reasoning so you just want to assume they are doing it solely for the lack of their ship being canon, & repeatedly whine about them not justifying their rating, lol BUT THEY DID.. & they do not even have to, they don't "owe" you anything; sure, you have a "right" to be disappointed but NOT to ~demand proof from anyone whose ratings you may disagree with & put them on ~trial for such "unworthy" opinions. I'm posting for a variety of reasons: - time does not really exist on the internet (days to you can be ~minutes to me) - only just seeing this now - I feel it's important for others to read a ~logical counter-cmt to overreactions like the "butthurt" insults (again, being rude to hurt viewers is NOT the way to help them see your pov better).

What this person wrote: "poor story building, multiple plot holes, unanswered questions, main chars not shown in 2016, etc" & I do agree. I rated it more fairly, but that's MY choice.

Honestly, RATINGS ARE ~NOT IMPORTANT.. just like all the famous award shows, they are ~meaningless in the big picture of life & anyone who takes them THAT seriously needs to sort out their priorities. So ppl actually treat the Top Dramas lists like they are ~gospel? But it's all just a silly popularity contest! Laugh it off & don't put so much value in the opinions of others. There's more to life.. & dramas.. than numbers on a website. ♡

Wow, you consider that an "attack"? I merely pointed out the lack of logic in your being offended by other ppl's opinions. Crazy fans exist- I am not one of them, thanks- but every person still has a right to their feelings. Downrating is one way to ~reasonably & safely express negative feelings. Obviously being rude & psychotic (ie, those who use threats of assault or suicide) is NOT healthy.. but venting at them & being instigative only escalates their hurt, no matter how much YOU feel it's unjustified. See a dangerous cmt, REPORT it & move on. See a cmt you simply don't agree with? Just roll your eyes & move on, lol.

You are NOT "evil" / "bad" etc (apparently just a bit sensitive & just prone to exaggeration tho, please be careful of your blood pressure) for "sharing an opinion" - you attacked first by hurling insults towards another fan you happen to disagree with & began ~accusing them of destroying your precious fandom with various forms of excrement.. don't you see how that looks?? The #1 rule of ANY fandom is to actually just be respectful of all fellow fans, & everyone has the right to dislike the fandom itself (canon is not some sacred off-limits zone that shd never be criticized). Ignore / report the mentally unstable ones & don't take out your frustration on the others who are just feeling cheated. You don't have any right to make all downraters sound like horrible criminals "crapping all over the internet".

And I also sincerely hope your own life improves outside the online world too, I can totally empathize with hard times bringing a person down. Just hang in there.. ^-^

While I agree that it can be a shame when ppl may overlook certain aspects of smth due to their disappointment in other parts of it, you are not helping your case by showing that you too can be just as easily blinded by negative feelings.

In the end, ppl will just like what they like & will rate how they feel. I myself am extremely complicated with my ratings, there are a ~bunch of factors considered, lol but I also don't understand how anything less than a "10" is end-of-the-world level dramatic. The average score will still be 7-8-ish & that is amazing.. FAR from "ruined", pfftt seriously? Now if the average was below 5 ie more than 80% of the audience was downrating it super low ~then it would be a tragedy. In the meantime.. please have some perspective! ^-^

Oh, definitely happy! There was supposed to be an event with the group, (the last one that decides whether they will officially replace the original group) but instead it just ends with the two leads talking about the future together, lol. So it's kind of an implied "hopeful" open ending too. May still leave you feeling shorted, especially cuz the series spent a lot of time on various threads, but ehh.. ^-^ #tehcuuteness

Both ~for the trippy exposition & ~to the world of #shippyfeels [lulzy emoticon here] I understand how shipping can seem overwhelming at first, especially when exposure has been mostly to the uber-passionate, haha, but overall most fans are just in it for the cuute, & adorkable, etc. Some may be militant (the ones who strictly stick to canon-only, & prefer to ignore any other potential pairings), others may be more open-minded (fanon/AU is where it's at.. rotfl), & then there's the fans who just don't care about or get concerned with any ships at all. But there's always fun to be had with any level!

Also, love your point "they make the perfect person" lol- that's often a reason why ~I like to ship in ~three's! (why have only one when two work so well together?) ♡♡♡

Everyone seems to be either/or with the shipping, lol meanwhile I'm just.. @__@ cuz they ~both seem cliche (purely in writing terms) & I thought the writers were going to do smth NEW &/or different this time around.. siighh. Instead we get "unrequited love x2" (lasting for ~years, lol) & endless meta teasing (regardless of whether one is "clever enough" not to fall for it, just the fact that the teases are included in the first place is frustrating). Whhyyy??

But I love them both, & therefore even tho I hope for smth truly ~unexpected (Taeki/JungHwan, DeokSun/DongRyong; or if DeokSun/JungHwan, then Taeki/JunHee, etc), I am fully prepared & braced for smth as typical & predictable as usual (ie, whoever is left out of the OTP: gets random last-minute girl, heh a la both Bingrae & Chilbongie in R94).

Overall, it's been a fun, squeeful ride, lol so I still consider it time well-spent. If only it had been a one-episode-a-week-for-six+-mths kind of series.. (because who really wants it to end??) ^-^ This family (all of them combined!) has become one of my favorite ensemble casts ever!

The general definition of "shipping" is simply enjoying certain characters interacting together, tho usually with "romantic implications", but they're not a requirement. You can also be a "passive" shipper too, as well as a "friendshipper".

And then there's multi-shipping (either/or re: preferred couples).. plus trio-shipping (ie: appreciating OT3 potential in certain triangles) or sometimes more (OT4.. when choices are just not possible LOL).. ^-^

The ~verb definition (for "active" shippers) involves looking for / collecting / enjoying viewing fan-made media for preferred ships, hehe- ie fanart, fanvids, & fanfic, as well as actively debating / discussing all the details of their faves, on various forums.

Either way.. casual shipping is just as valid as serious shippage. xD

Supposedly it got ~cancelled? Thus, nothing actually happened, lol it just ends with some randomness & that's it. Which I wasn't expecting, cuz I hadn't really read anything before watching, just vaguely noticed the ep count was shorter than usual but didn't consider it a bad sign.. first time I came across an actually cancelled one too, I think. Eh well, it was fun while it lasted! And their theme song is still kinda stuck in my head lol.. ^-^

E88 - Taekie is DeokSun's puppy

At first it's like.. the writers of E88 decided we needed even MORE heartbreak so they doubled up & that's why they basically combined both Chilbongie & Bingrae into one character this time, pfftt. BUT I kinda like to imagine that they are "smarter" than that (lol) & may have a much better twist planned. I see two potential outcomes..

A97 - JunHee ends up with "mystery" / unknown partner
R94 - Bingrae meets random girl whom he later marries
E88 - Taekie ends up with JungHwan?? or JunHee, hmm..

LOL hey a fan can dream, right?? They wouldn't possibly repeat the annoying endings of both Chilbongie & Bingrae, would they? (random last-minute girl) Oyy, this series is stressing me out & I said I wouldn't even get that invested, tsk. But I love them! ^-^

They do eventually tone it down, sometimes it isn't used at all. I first watched R94 & found it hilarious / strange / awkward, but in A97 & the beginning of E88, it just felt out-of-place more than anything. I think they usually go overboard when the series are just starting tho, so if you can get thru those initial eps, it does get better! ^-^

By "implied crushes", I was just referring to JunHee's best-friend love for YoonJae & Bingrae's "puppy love" for Sureki. Both were implied as "temporary" crushes, smth that they got over rather ~easily, eventually (siighh).

In this one, (& it's an obvious spoiler since it's a main ship) Taekie is revealed to have a crush on the girl, DeokSun, & is seemingly completely smitten.

Which is why I said he is like the ~opposite of Bingrae.. & even JunHee, who was just bffs with the girl (tho YoonJae suspected ~otherwise at first, lol) & I'm imagining an epic twist at the end.. which may also mirror R94: Bingrae actually kissed his crush but still did not end up with him; Taekie may kiss DeokSun, but not end up with her.

Taekie will win your heart over regardless of his canon story tho.. & there's always our own fanon versions, so I would recommend watching anyways! I personally can't get enough, lol.. been keeping up with every episode each week!

Depends- what exactly did you want? ie for them to be the lead who gets the girl? Or for them to eventually be with their implied crushes? I was disappointed too that it seems to have gone backwards in terms of same-gender love. A97 has JunHee end up with a "mystery" / unknown partner, R94 has Bingrae end up straight & married to a random girl, & in E88 there is no actual similar roles at all. But it would be reeally interesting if the twist this time was that our seeming "straight" second lead Taekie turns out to fall for a boy in the end, ie being the total opposite of Bingrae! Hmm.. ^-^
