Just bcz they are straight doesn't mean they can't have believable chemistry in show. Ever heard of acting? Also…
Btw, I love your profile pic. I love the Untamed story but mostly the novel version.

This whole drama makes my blood boil. I't so stupid and I hate stupid things. You can see in slow motion how Bright's…
I agree with you about them being a strange combination. Yes, it's palpable they have chemistry. Watching their promo poster, they could be a very handsome couple. But I don't really see something in them that speaks of a special relationship going on between them. I just really think it's for the sake of launching their individual careers, which can be beneficial for each of them beyond the BL thing.

Btw, Bright is sexy handsome. And Win is beautiful with a symmetrical facial feature. A Caucasian-looking Bright and an Asian face of Win are a sexy combination. But despite that sexy combination, I just see them as close friends, not that it's a bad thing though in the BL industry.

I’ve read before that GMM doesn’t really reuse their BL lead actors for other BL series (not including sequels—different…
It's not me who thinks in the way GMM handles their BL actors. I really think it's a strategy for them to attract international fans and profit from them. There's been a Shipping economy within the BL industry and these companies use it to attract fans by pairing them up with actors, whol the producers thought to have believable chemistry.

What do you mean with straight actors?Their sexuality?I mean how many bl actors do you think really gay?
Just to be clear one commenter I stumbled shared to me that 90 per cent of the BL actors are straight, a claim that I find very absurd.

I have analyzed their interactions that's why I mentioned that they don't really have longevity as a loveteam. But again, there may be twists of fate to happen in the future. I just see the series as a launching of their individual careers. I see Bright to be the next Mario Maurer in the Philippines. Mario started his popularity in a gay film, Love of Siam but he became a fan fave in the PH, my country and managed to be a main lead with a Filipina actress in a popular film here.

I just can't really ship Bright and Win. You probably know about me in TharnType forum of this platform in which I eventually gushed on MewGulf despite trying not to ship the actors together.

Lol, triggered much? Didn't you read the word 'chemistry', which they have in the series?

And it's good that they're not doing fanservice because it's going to be cringe-y knowing they are straight. I have a problem with Thai BL doing extreme fanservice by actors who seem to do it forcefully to appease their fans. I had that problem with TharnType actors until I realize that the actors really have that special relationship in real life. And yes, I agree that what they are doing is fine. You don't have to be defensive for them.

What do you mean with straight actors?Their sexuality?I mean how many bl actors do you think really gay?
I call it intuition. The absence of any evidence that speaks or implies their sexual orientation makes me theorize that they are straight by default. As much as I want Bright to be gay or bi or even Win, watching their interactions and their aura on behind the scenes and fancams compels me to infer that they are straight based on my analysis.

Maybe my gaydar, being gay and straight acting, helps me see guys who are straight and even straight acting individuals as gay or bi.

But I believe in fluidity of sexuality so who knows Bright and Win might have something special in them or perhaps, in the future. However, I am not really betting on it from happening.

As for the number of gay actors in BL, I can't really answer that. I even questioned and rebutted one commenter that said 90% of the BL actors, which is absurd. I really think many of these actors have attraction towards their co-actors considering their proximity to beautiful people.

Okay, I read other comments here about the lack of kissing scenes. I would honestly say their kissing might be awkward so I don't really look forward to it. I think partly, the reason for it is that they are straight actors. Yes, they have chemistry together but it is mostly bromantic. And I also think that part of the series' success is that they want to see Bright. He really has that charisma. I don't think all of those who watch this series want to see Bright and Win together. I am not discounting Win here but I know he can improve and has ample time to enhance his acting skills. He is already good here. But I can't help but feel that he is overshadowed by Bright in most of their scenes. Bright already manages to use his facial expressions in his acting to convey his emotions in most scenes and I find it very impressive. The series, however, is promising. I just watched spoiler vids from the novel so I think I have an idea of its ending l. I don't really expect much on the direction, the format, and the believability of some plots. I find this series a mess first but it turns out to be good as I progress in watching this.I can't say I will be a big fan of this series and of the couple. But I can honestly say I am a fan of Bright's vocal ability. I listen to the ending track for thousand of times already on YouTube.

Question on the actors: how tall are Bright and Win? They seem average when they're together but watching them with other actors, they seem to tower over others.

you dont have to go realistic if you want to portray proper LGBT experience and also if you think tutor fighter…
I am gay and I agree with the OP here that FighterTutor's storyline should be seen as realistic in light or similar with the experiences with the LGBTQ community. Why I consider their characters as complex is based on the premise of their circumstances, which compelled them to act in certain ways, for survival and acceptance. These circumstances mold their personalities. That's why Tutor shared about Zon's perception of the possible occurrences as if they are derived from a novel. His take on the development of his relationship with Fighter is somewhat akin to a fantasy, remote from a certain reality considering the circumstances they both face individually. On your perception that the closer representation of LGBTQ is similar to the movies such as Moonlight, I'd say that many young LGBTQ's are finding it easy now compared to decades ago. But this depends on their locations and the openmindedness of their families and friends. I know many still face the stigma of being LGBTQ's in many countries. These shows though seen as fiction can have characters that can represent LGBTQ's. Most of these BL's provide happy endings, which somehow give light to young LGBTQ's. And though they might not be seen as the best representation, watching these shows somehow brings hope and encouragement to young gay guys that they can play out in real life scenarios in finding their romantic partners. Straight romantic stories and shows have become 'benchmark' for straight people to find their respective destinies. These BL shows may be used as well, perhaps, for young gay guys then.

wait are some people really that bothered by the "kiss" that was blocked? I mean, I thought it was great...Sarawat…
I really find it weird at first. Did GMM buy ads to propel its view count? I had this thinking at first but then they managed to get no. 1 on ww trend, w/c btw a tactic that can be manipulated. But honestly though, many fans want to see their development and I think this series has become huge. I also think this is a way to propel Bright's career.

And I first thought you liked it. Lol

Kidding aside though, as I have posted days ago, I am not really expecting much from this series. It's obvious though that Bright and Win have chemistry together but I am not really seeing them having a couple vibe. I think, they are just doing their part working on getting fans to like them to skyrocket their individual careers. I really doubt they would pair up again after this series. Perhaps, they might just to respond to fans' clamor but as for loveteam longevity, that's remain to be seen.

However, I can't discount Bright's acting skill here. He really impressed me. And his voice though. Damn.

I set my standard for BL with TharnType. But then I discovered this, which months ago I discarded because of its first trailer. I am not really impressed with the direction of this series but I am overly impressed with Bright's acting prowess. He really managed to get my attention with his vocal prowess and his character, Sarawat, is already someone I have come to love though I hated it at first. He is that confident gay with an attitude, a personality I don't really find appealing but the way Bright's handling of the character, I would make an exception.

Honestly, it's early to say that I like the storyline but I have come to appreciate it despite certain flaws. Tine's friends are annoying in the recent ep. And I have question on their existence the morning after a drunken night with friends at Tine's place. Did Sarawat shoo them away?

It would have been romantic if the director let us see how Tine ended up on Sarawat's lap with just the two of them. And yes, another flaw I believe that may be corrected when they show further explanation in later episodes.

I agree that this BL is good though not the best.

But I disagree on the principle on that Thai drama you mentioned. It is just me though since I'm gay. And yes, LGBTQ spectra are real and existing.

Title Why R U?
I have started enjoying this series. But before I went on to post my comment, I scrolled through others' comments here. I think we also have concerns in the direction of the series.

Honestly though, this series is a light romantic comedy with only an inkling of drama on TutorFight's part.

I tried to dismiss it at first and only watched the 1st ep in Feb and not continuing the 2nd ep after MewGulf's part. Yeah, a big fan of MewGulf here.

Anyways, the series is not really perfect obviously.

I like ZonSaifah and TutorFight but let's admit it-- the first few episodes to the middle of this series focused more on the romantic development of ZonSaifah and that's why I can't blame people to complain their absence in the recent ep. But I think on the previous episode, it clearly showed the development of their romance. It's more like a teenage romance reminiscent of some Asian romantic dramas only that they are portrayed by 2 guys. I know this storyline formula can attract conservative teenage girls and even female audience up to 40's.

In another spectrum, we have an adult aspect of the series portrayed by SaintZee whose storyline is more mature. Tutor is dealing with problems as a young adult who is juggling with school and work and striving to make ends meet. So this story arc is seen to attract gay audience mostly.

I just think that the recent episode justifies the absence of romance of FightTor in earlier episodes at the expense of other characters. And I think this also exposes the flaws that producers and directors should take regards when they have a series with two main gay couples and with other gay couples on the side. It's going to be a mess of a series.

I know I am going to be burned sharing this but I would like to share that TharnType has become a gold standard of BL series despite certain flaws. It focused on one couple and it also managed to highlight other characters in the supporting credits and in which fans of the series can't help but admire.

I think the GMM producers took note of this, that's why they probably made changes with 2gether the series. I have begun to think that the GMM series has started to take a rise to become phenomenal. I enjoy it greatly but my complaint is that the direction of the main characters is not as romantic as WhyRU's characters but it is too early to say since it's still on ep5. The thing is I am not really feeling it. TineSarawat are complex characters. Their romantic interaction is too subtle. I would have felt it though but perhaps...

But honestly though, when it comes to showcasing budding romance, Zoifah is winning here. I just hope that the director is seeing the potential of ZonSaifah. FightTor's storyline, however, is kinda great though as it takes a mature understanding to really understand their complex characters.

This has emerged as the front runner in many viewers' hearts right now (early 2020). Though I sort of feel similarly…
Judging from the first 3 episodes, this is more of a typical college M2M romance.
Perhaps, the chemistry of the actors as they are both good-looking and tall seem to have drawn the audience in but it is too early to say if they really have it, like IT.

If I also judge it on the recent trailer, there is an obvious big change from the first one. The recent one already promotes them as the gay couple, which somehow draws the audience in as they see the possible certainty of them doing the romantic thing within the 12-13 episodes of the series. The first trailer seems to dissuade viewers though. I was at the point where it would be another BL drama where the guy chased another guy who's also chasing another girl and the complexity of their romance would kick in when they realized that they wanted to be together. In other words, there was a heaviness to it compared to the recent trailer, which brings in a lighter side of the possible storyline throughout.

If I have to compare with the depth of the storyline of GMMTV BL shows, I would choose Dark Blue Kiss over this but even I would admit that DBK was kinda disappointing in many aspects.

And it's early to say that it's going to be that promising. Perhaps, the chemistry of Bright and Win might bring this series to a certain redemption because obviously, the new pairing has been hyped. Yet, the straight vibes I sense on them (I think, it's not only me) would not really deliver them to a certain longevity in which many BL fans would like to see. But admittedly, they have that chemistry that GMMTV can capitalize until it lasts (just like what happened with TayNew and KristSingto). And just like what happened to their predecessors, their on-screen coupling has its expiry.

Anyways, I enjoy watching them on the show as SarawatTine but I am not following them as BrightWin.

bro i want some passionate scenes already from these two!!!, ep 2 was barely a peck ;(
Don't expect much from BL shows on GMMTV. They sell BL fantasies.

Though I kinda enjoy watching the first 3eps, I always take into mind that this is a GMMTV series so I won't be disappointed.

This kind of show is really geared towards female BL fans. It's a 'not-gay-but-in-love-with-another-guy' series.

And btw, I am gay and I agree on one comment here that these shows don't really reflect real-life gay romances and the producers are not really supportive of the LGBTQ community. They serve the agenda to profit from BL female fans judging by the way they force the actors to do fan servicing.

Let's stick to the show and enjoy it while it lasts or until we get bored of the storyline esp. when it is not progressing based on our expectations.

Well, I'm also as curious as you, I've been watching BL for some time now, but this is the first time that I've…
I totally vibe with you in this platform since TharnType's beginning so I also check your comments and POV's. :)

MewGulf is really different from other BL couples. I can always sense love and joy in them , things which I can't really find in other BL couples.

It is easy for me to get over and move on once I'm done watching BL series. But TharnType and the actors MewGulf are in another level. They always have me 'poked' by them by way of checking their updates on Twitter and IG.

Thing is there are people who are negative and party poopers.

I don't care what others think about their interactions which are always equated with fan service. Yes, I see the fan servicing aspects of their interactions but if you are a good reader of body language, there are always signs that would send hints that what they're doing is just for fun or for pretention or with sincerity in their affections. Most interactions I have seen with MewGulf always have this couple vibey thing. Even if they don't outrightly confirm it, I have already considered their actions as though they are already in dating stage. Male to male interactions and relationship is easy to decipher for me as someone who is gay.

Now, as for their career, I think MewGulf should capitalize on their tandem for several years. They should strike it while the iron is hot. The unpredictability in show business is a high risk for the actors, considering the number of actors, old and new they have to compete with in certain roles. That's my suggestion though. It is up to them on how they will direct their careers.

Gulf is already in his 20's so I won't consider him as 'so young'. But yeah, you're right that his mother is always with him. I won't assume much though but the thing you mentioned about her chaperoning so certain lines can't be crossed may be true. I would find it understandable if Gulf is a female, but then he's a male. If there's certain agreement behind the scenes, it would be something they and Mew's parties would only know.
