Maybe you're not really paying attention to the series. Ep 5 and 6 is not just drinking and suffering from memory…
Well, I am gay and I am a law student. Anyways, you have a point. As for stupidity, kinda subjective and strategic but there is also that IQ requirement. But for a perspective from a gay guy, I'd rather be in a competition with a man than to be with 2 genders. A bi guy can choose a heteronormative life as he wishes while those who are only attractive to males can be stigmatized in an oppressive society. But let's not talk about it here.

As you said, this is fantasy and it may be from a parallel universe. Lol

There is probably another confession in the next episode so that Tine will really believe Wat. So then they bring…
I don't know how long have you been watching BL but so far I could even credit Sotus for that recognition as well as Addicted Heroine in China.

So when you said that 2gether brought more viewers of BL, what factor is your basis?

So how do you define BL? For me, it's gay romance and so far the only series that incorporates gay romance that is super popular worldwide is SKAM with many versions in various countries. And the big factor why SKAM is very popular is because of Evan and Isak.

How do you address homophobia then? Didn't Type fall in love with a gay man and that opened his world to gay love? It is the author's way of addressing that issue. Perhaps, you wanted him to go into peer counseling or psychiatry when Type even shared that he went thru ptsd program. Maybe you failed to really dig deeper into that story and just assumed that people only watch it because of the steamy scenes.

Haven't you even considered Tine's likely homophobic attitude particularly towards femme gays that he even accepted the plan to fake flirt with another guy just to get rid off Green? You can dismiss this kind of lapse just because you like the series a lot. Tine can just simply say he doesn't like femme gay guys to Green so he can leave him be. But of course, that wasn't pointed out because we don't want it a bigger issue.

Read the novel so you will know. I just went thru the 3rd chapter only though.

Did you watch the special episode of TharnType?

As for crediting 2gether as the reason for getting more people into BL, I think that should be reserved to The Untamed. Many people who watch 2gether are from the Philippines, where there are more conservative people who prefer light hearted romance and just few gay kisses.

Btw, I know, it was not me who was insulted but the OP here. Maybe, it wasn't. I just assumed it. I even tried to be diplomatic with my other replies.

While this one is "I am straight but I am in love with a dude." Lol. The story is very light, which is your typical BL.

As for KornKnock, you might not have seen Bad Romance where they first appeared. Together With Me is their prequel. In TharnType, it addresses homophobia and sexual awakening. Perhaps, you don't like them because you just want it light that you turn to insulting others when they pointed out criticisms in the plot of this series.

I actually like the confession part and the dialogue in this episode. As for another confession, if you have seen the teaser for the next ep, Tine confessed to his friends about his feelings for Sarawat but then his friends wanted to challenge Sarawat thru a football game.

As for the rarity of Sarawat and Tine's characters, I am not sure what aspect you are referring to. I feel like they're like in the league with KornKnock(MaxTul) and TharnType (MewGulf). Football and music are elements that also appear in those BL couples' series.

I actually understand Pincolino's point because I also have that kind of frustration. And I also agree with you that they might be doing those things as defense mechanism.

But there is a big but in their actions. And I feel like for a Law student, Tine seems stupid. He is supposed to be inquisitive and analytical. But I understand that he is new to male to male romance and he is still a freshman. Still, I feel like the plot of the story could have been done better.

LOVE the series, but if everyone out there really thinks this is a good plot, then I'm losing faith in humanity.…
There is probably another confession in the next episode so that Tine will really believe Wat. So then they bring in the goons to beat up Sarawat so Tine can take care of him while the other hero is limping. It's getting typical Thai BL.

And I feel like mob violence is unnecessary but they ran out of ideas so it's better that or none at all to bring in the conflict leading to the climax.

Yes, it is stupid. It is the same plot that has been used in other BL's such as Together With Me and Dark Blue Kiss. At least, in Together With Me it can be justified because of Preng's devilish attitude.

Thanks for your perspectives. It is a shame that they didn't include the author of the book in their writing. He/she would have been the soul and guidance of the creative process. That's why I always feel like there's lacking in it. Like I want to really love it but something's holding me back.

When I saw Frank and Drake being part of the cast, it reminded me of the mess GMM did with Cause You're My Prince. Frank and Drake have the great chemistry among GMM BL couples. Their series would have been good though but it went downhill beginning ep. 9 in that series that I stopped watching it. One of the factors for its demise was the mess in sequencing of events. And I feel like it's what they're doing with the recent episode in 2gether. And then the use of violence in the upcoming ep seems unnecessary just so they can integrate conflict.

There are scenes in the novel that I found more romantic as what you've mentioned. But then they scrapped it. If that's what they have been doing, then they should include kissing scenes than fans would enjoy to make the pairing believable.

It seems like diehard fans of BrightWin don't really care about these things as long as they see their idols in every episode. Such trivialities in watching BL.

I haven't really liked GMMTv BL series after Sotus. Though I mentioned Dark Blue Kiss, the series is also disappointing.

Watching 2gether is a simple escape from boredom while many people are in quarantine because of pandemic. I have skipped many BL series including Theory of Love. I would have skipped this too if not because of YT recommendation while I got bored because of quarantine. I am enjoying it for 2 weeks now and that's why I can't help but vent my frustrations.

There are no new scrubb song this week, felt something missing.
If they had included the car scene, we would have seen and heard Sarawat serenading Tine with another Scrubb song in a capella. But then they omitted that.

It is early to say 2gether as the no. 1 BL but I understand that is based on subjective view. I thought Together with Me would always be my no.1 Thai BL until TharnType was aired and it easily snatched that spot. But I always place TharnType with The Untamed as the no. 1 gay-themed literature shown in live action for me. TharnType has the best romantic scenes in BL surpassing Together with Me, which is a close second. But The Untamed would always be the best for me in story among gay-themed romances. I think it has to do with my mystical inclination as someone into magic and sorcery that's why I prefer The Untamed despite its lack of kissing scenes among the the two male leads in live action series as opposed to what's in the novel.

2gether is just very light. As for its whole storyline, I would prefer Dark Blue Kiss more over this. I think Bright and Win attribute more for the series' success.

You mentioning about WHY R U reminds me of the recent frustration I have about that series. It would have been okay if the last episode had Jimmy and Tommy in it but then they were absent again and it's all about FightTor.

I have already liked JimmyTommy as I sense of something genuine between them after MewGulf and MaxTul. But they have become underrated BL couple.

Anyways, I haven't aired my frustrations on the last ep after posting my long post in WHYRU page of this platform. Enough said.

You're right. I feel like the conflict may be ignited because of petty rivalry between Sarawat and Mil. I look forward to it though but I feel like the violence thing is somewhat similar in Dark Blue Kiss, in which scenes are not really necessary.

I also consider the factor that Wat did it-- sleeping immediately after the kiss-- strategically. And I think, you've got a point there. I am trying to analyze other scenes to make some scenes make sense instead of always making assumptions. I am even more compelled to read the whole novel, which is more impossible now for international fans.

The last episode was not done right though. The thing I appreciate in the last episode though is on how it became an episode where Tine was connecting the dots and events proving Sarawat's feelings for him.

As for the kissing scenes, they were just meh for me. They really didn't do well in that department as expected. They appear romantic because of the slomo but there should be other scenes that they could do the slomo effect and make them more romantic like in the 6th episode, immediately after Scrubb performed Deep in which Wat and Tine met their gazes.

Sotus is by far the only GMMTV BL series that I appreciate the flow of its storyline though I find the series more of a fantasy than realistic.
