What do you mean with straight actors?Their sexuality?I mean how many bl actors do you think really gay?
And that gives you that right because you are a straight woman who has fetish in watching two guys getting it on? Lol. Your homophobia shows in your comment.
And I disagree, gays have the right to critique this kind of content as it shows two guys in romantic setting. You seem to be delusional in equating BL with lesbian porn. Lol.
Even the yaoi writers and creators of Japan also admit that their audience also include gay people.
What would you make of Skam and Queer as Folks, are they also BL? What about Brokeback Mountain since it is authored by a female writer?
Since you seem to be an expert of BL, which BL series should take the credit as the first?
I don't know how old you are but you need to know history of BL and gay content first before arguing with me.
you dont have to go realistic if you want to portray proper LGBT experience and also if you think tutor fighter…
I won't disagree on your perspective. It really depends on the circumstances though. That's why this is called fiction. But there are situations in fiction that are derived in real life. Well, I believe in love at first sight because this happened in one of my gay relationships. As for enemies to lovers, well, there is a gay couple who are YouTubers who started as enemies before they become lovers amd husbands. Many gay relationships happened in various circumstances and from situations that we initially thought to be impossible. https://youtu.be/9xHQJ6FK3f0
LOL, I feel like it's the opposite. There is something very deep and complex about Bright. He is also very soft.…
I feel like this kind of experience is relatable. I once went through the phase of not labelling the relationship yet even though we already had sex. Again, very relatable.
I don't want to get invested much to these characters and actors but I am getting vulnerable when I watched the recent episode. I still have the threshold of resistance. But honestly, I have appreciated the series when I made a research of its foundations: the novel and the Scrubb songs. Listening and knowing the lyrics of the songs as they are integrated in the series heavily made me surmise that the story is based on those songs. And I think that made me really appreciate the series a lot. I still feel that the direction can be improved. I have also read the first few chapters of the series in English translation. It helped me provide the perspective about the premise of the story.
I am a critic of BL so I know some of you here may have frowned on my earlier comments. But I think the audience should not just see the chemistry of the main actors, which I also admit holds the large factor in the success of the BL series, but also the foundation and the formatting of the production of the series. It is not perfect but I think the love story of Sarawat and Tine as complemented in Scrubb songs can compensate for it. And I also think that is what I have seen as among the factors for the success of this series. Those songs have magical quality in it and the author is fortunate to have integrated that concept in this story.
It's a shame that they don't appeal to you as a couple, but to each their own. Talking about being straight/gay.…
I said this "Better if they have a gay director for this series." and not this: "Only gay people should act/produce/direct in gay movies/series". Please don't twist my words.
As I have said, better if they have gay director for the series though I expounded it that it would be better if they have female and gay directors for BL series. And I don't think it's problematic of I want a gay director. It's a view I feel to be proper considering the prejudice that straight male directors can have towards gay actors and gay scenes.
What do you mean with straight actors?Their sexuality?I mean how many bl actors do you think really gay?
BL drama and gay drama are no different. BL is part of gay pop culture in entertainment category. Female audience in the BL industry somehow wants to decategorize it from gay culture umbrella for them to enjoy when they become more open to seeing two guys getting romantic on screen. Boys in Love has already been used as a promo for gay soft porn and short gay films since 1990's and early 2000's. Now tell me if BL drama is different from gay drama.

Directing is an artistic endeavour. I am mostly critical on that. I enjoyed TharnType because the way its direction is done is within the range of my expectation but it was not perfect. I also complained when it reached ep. 8, because my expectation was not met.
As for the sexuality of the director, I would have preferred a female director or a gay director in BL. Heterosexual women who write gay novels are also on par with gay novelists of gay novels. But I know not all of them are good.
Why I like TharnType despite it being a smutty fanfiction? I am intrigued by the characters and the storyline. I am a sexual person so watching two guys making out is a plus considering it is a gay series. They have to make it believable as it's derived from an erotic gay novel. But the acting, the screenplay of the series is carefully done. I know they have some errors but it's still within the range of expectation I set for it overall despite my complaint in the character, Type at the middle of the series.
As for 2gether, I enjoy watching it but I am also critical knowing it's a GMM show. I had high expectations for Dark Blue Kiss but it was a disappointment. But still, I applaud TayNew's storyline in that series.

I am a gay man and it's been a clamor in the LGBTQ community that most gay roles are handed over to straight actors. Yes, sexuality of the actors in gay series such as this is a factor for me to patronize a series. But of course, this is a BL where many(not all though) female audience fantasize two straight men to be together. So I don't really have much say in this. Been watching gay series since my teen years in early 2000's so I am more critical when it comes to gay shows such as this.

I actually find them appealing as a potential BL couple but I feel like Win and the girl who plays Pear are a cuter pair. It is just me though. I just really feel that Bright can be paired with another actor whom he can have intense chemistry with and it will be a very huge BL hit. Based from the interviews I have seen on YT, their pairing was mostly decided by GMM producers. They probably worked on the chemistry factor through a series of workshops and, because of work, to be together most of the time as part of promotional campaign.
Bright is already believable playing the role of Sarawat. But then many already like Bright and Win though I sense awkwardness in their interactions. What matters more is that Bright and Win can use this series as a platform to boost their individual careers. It's like what Krist(KristSingto) did after Sotus S.

Thanks for the link. I watched the bts. It's a shame that they made it like it was a peck. But as I have been saying, I didn't expect much from the direction. It seems like the director isn't that good with his craft. Better if they have a gay director for this series.

I have been open in ThT forum where I informed that I don't really ship straight actors so I just stick to the storyline and enjoy the gayness of it. There have been many BL series lately but I have become more selective. This series is good though I initially skipped it. It's enjoyable to watch but as I said, I don't really expect much from it even though I also shared its flaws. I am more of a critic than a fan of all BL shows.
What do you mean with straight actors?Their sexuality?I mean how many bl actors do you think really gay?
Nah, I am more blunt. I am gay and have been watching many gay movies and series since early 2000's in my college years. Call it experience rather. But what should you I call then, bitch?
This whole drama makes my blood boil. I't so stupid and I hate stupid things. You can see in slow motion how Bright's…
To describe it as funny, cute and romantic seems general. Even though I said that the series is good, I still think the storyline is a mess. This kind of storyline, which is light, is more preferred by female BL audiences as they just focus more on the romantic side of the two male leads. Yes, I agree it has rewatch value on episodes 4 and 5. But the direction has flaws. I don't want to touch on the kissing part because I am not really expecting it. This story is based from a novel that tends to lean on attracting fujoshis. I rewatched the ep5 for five times analyzing what really made them tick. Yes, they have chemistry together but the romance part is subtle. It took me the 4th time to watch to feel the romantic part, which is the scene where Wat was drunk and vulnerable emotionally.
I want to touch on Tine's plan to convince Wat as his fake boyfriend. It should have been a big deal in the campus, considering the status of Sarawat. I expected in this episode for the campus to talk about Tine and Sarawat's relationship status despite it being fake but I think things moved on in this episode as if what happened in the cafe on ep. 4 with Green and Sarawat's fan there didn't really make a difference.
I think this series focused more on what fujoshis want to see between two male leads with a cast of two visually-appealing actors, developing romance. They just want something light.
As for the humor, I think what I find funny here is Green but most scenes that other people find funny are too farcical. I think Bright brings the most attraction in this series even though you might not agree to this factor. Sarawat's fascination for Tine's boobs seems funny though but at the same time disturbing.
Yes, the series is good. But it is not really among the best yet, perhaps, because it's early to say it as we are in episode 5. It's a good BL series tp watch when many people are in lockdown to relieve the boredom.

I agree that 2gether pushed his career to the international level. With his popularity in Thailand, perhaps that explains the number of views in millions in just a matter of days in 2gether eps and MV.

Based from what I learned on YT, Bright is already popular in Thailand as a musician, TV host and fashion model. I think his lead casting on this BL series is just an addition to his portfolio.

I agree with the voice though. Win seems similar with Gulf. I don't really like Win a lot. But I can say Bright almost made me fall in love with him esp. when he sings.

It's no doubt that the series is a surprise hit.
