Someone please explain `Y. found of food` to me. The people who made the subtitles were rather competent I think, so it's possible the problem is with my comprehension. I thought it would be either `Y. found food` or `Y. fond of food` ..
I deleted my previous bullshit speculative posts, here is what actually happened:
So in ep30 they have a final scene together where they hold hands & that scene gets a very Chaplin-esque, beautiful cinematographic outro. Following that they have a dinner or breakfast date & get caught by netizens. (this is not shown to us, but the leads talk about the social media activity & commend their friend getting together with a female celebrity)
So that's all. It's not very satisfying, but I have seen far far worse, especially considering they only had like 10-20 minutes of screen time together over the course of 30 episodes.
>Overall, "You're My Lover Friend" was an amazing watch.
30/30 episodes seen, when newest epi is 25. I really dislike it when people write "completed" reviews like this. Especially considering that oftentimes the last episodes is where dramas flop.
Lip blocking is still 100000000x times better than "let's not rock the boat, bros for life!". (obviously it's pretty effin stupid, but it's not too annoying to me)
Only here for Ni Na and Cheng Hui but omg it’s slow burnnnn. But slowwwww, cute but slooooooooww hahhaaHas anyone…
I have not read the novel, but in my experience with cdrama adaptations of novels that I have actually read, I can tell you that the secondary couple in dramas are often dramatically different than what's in the novel. This is where script writers tend to just change everything.

edit: 5 now.

There are many things to criticize this show for, but to me chemistry is not it, no.
But you are right, the romantic plot is not very good right now.
That's a fairly clear confession. That's what "let nature take its course" means in Chinese culture.
