I currently watched this up to e9. While this is far from flawless, it's really quite interesting for a drama of this type & I have a feeling the second half will be a lot better than what we've seen now. Can still see myself give above 9 starts when all this is over.
When you feel there is a chance to see And then again and again you heard iqiyi dramas are cut from 30 episodes…
Of course, if a drama cannot pass censorship, cutting losses and releasing the early parts with an early wrap or some kind of weird ending where they do a timeskip instead of telling the main part of the story..
I think they are waiting to see the response of first frost before starting to film this if the cast is fixed…
I somewhat doubt that, the filming has to be done already, or this will need at least 2-3 years to arrive. It won't be easy to pass censorship with this story in 2025.
This drama is like watching paint dry. Individually has got all the good elements but collectively this drama…
I'm annoyed that 7/10 on MDL is like 4 out of 10 outside. These weird weighted ratings gotta stop. Just because bots etc push up even the worst things above 7, that doesn't mean we actual humans should follow that baseline.
All of the comments are great - but I’m on episode 4 and it’s just meh for me. I don’t love the FL character-…
>I can’t believe he could fall for her.
She is pretty, sometimes that alone is plenty to become deeply obsessed with someone. The falling for part is the least unrealistic part of this drama I think.
I think this probably going to be quite awful, like `My Strange Hero`. I don't consider this plot viable for a kdrama. I'd be happy to be proven wrong..
In China they tend to crack down on every little thing they deem wrong, unhealthy for whatever random reasons. Just this week the state decided to shut down athlete fanclubs, to stop unhealthy obsessions.
Absurd beauty standards are genuinely a problem in Chinese society. All it would take is for the state to ensure that actresses need to take monthly medical examinations & enforce not being malnourished.
Zhuang Shuang is a good example of a person that got ruined due to this. Lushi's situation is much better so far, but at 36kg? she was just as malnourished.
Not saying it's completely impossible your argument is correct, but I think it's unlikely she is eating anywhere near as much as whats medically allowed in her current circumstances. Gawd I really hope her agency/agent is not being awful about this, like letting her be only 3kg heavier than before, or some small inadequate amount like that.
That's one of the most unusual & best things about this drama.
..breakups late in the story?
..triangle?
Breakups? Love Triangle? Misunderstandings?
Though I think if you are into the makjang genre you'll find this one better, if not so much, then MMH is way better.
