omg i agree about mirae being kinda lame and boring compared to miji! but!!! Kim Rosa???? What was bad about her????…
>Well actually, the not leaving the house thing is very real!
The drama is talking about not leaving their rooms, not their homes, it's a huge difference!
> What was bad about her????
To me her plot has been incredibly predictable from early on & everything about her felt fake and artificial to me. Maybe part of it is kdrama fatigue, it's just so common to put an elderly character like this into a show for the mains to take care of..
See... 37 kg last XMas at the hospital with neurological symptoms. Unable to walk, talk, eat. Now, 8 months later…
Her carrier is basically over already, there is almost no chance to come back from her previous situation, so all this is not relevant to that anymore.
>If I - private western person with a wee bit of medical knowledge- am able to connect the dots ...
Yes well, every second A lister actress in China is medically speaking malnourished. It's a disgrace, but it is what it is. This is not on Lushi. If you have a naturally chubby face at a healthy weight, then you can either go malnourished or not be a female celebrity, basically.
We don't know enough to clearly take sides with confidence, but I understand why someone would behave like this in her situation.
I checked the novel when they graduate from high school & it's like 60% in. Knowing cdramas they might just push the uni life to the final 3-4 epis, I'm reluctant to start this.
Even though PMY starring with younger actor in Weather Forecast with You disappoint many, I'd still wish she'd…
Forecasting is an awful drama & the leads had bad chemistry. Imo their ages had nothing to do with it & I'd love to watch PMY in more noona romances involving better writers & a more careful casting of the younger ML.
If I watch the korean version first, will this one be worth watching after??
Opinions differ, but I would say no, unless you wait like half a year. (I'm currently only half way in, but I also think the Korean show is better, which is shockingly also a controversial statement.)
drugs exist in South Korea and given generally sentences for them are harsher than in the USA for example, I don't…
That's not the point. I just don't see how with censorship, or if you want to call it "acceptable social norms" they can put anything enjoyable on our screens with that premise.
For example it's all but guaranteed that Kang Eun Su will end up either in prison or dead by the end of this. The absolute best possible happy ending is the husband surviving & then living alone.
It's a minor gripe & probably nitpicky, but to me it feels like in the original they at least made a minor effort to make PMY look "average" for a while. Here the FL is just so radiant, how am I supposed to believe that anyone would pick her because she is boring wife material xD
I rly wanna like this but this is insanely boring to me…………… i was wishing to see an isekai kdrama like…
Korean viewers have a very limited view on what is acceptable and not in a Jaesuk. Big part of the reason why I don't watch them unless really cannot find anything else.
