I'm watching e1 & I'm thinking gawd this is the most fake succulent nursery I have ever seen & then they talk about how these plants coexisted with the dinosaurs. It frustrating that the writers either didn't bother to fact check or thought it's more important to land that one line in the script.

In e2 ML said these plants existed for hundreds of millions of years. Well plants on the whole did exist, just barely :D

Yeah well, It's not looking good. Maybe she has one more drama in the pipeline, but it's a big maybe & following that it's possible her carrier is done. At any rate I'd be surprised if that weren't the case, as sad as it is.

What gives us a little hope is that this drama has been a big hit in China, so her chances of being banned went from 99% to 80%+. (and the fact the relevant bodies even let this drama air ..)

edit: Perhaps was wrong, now that Lusi is singed by Alibaba anything's possible. (or rather a super low probability event already occurred, so fans can rejoice)

Ok so this drama is mostly about the "divorce era". So what makes it interesting?

Yeah, but this generally a big problem with variety shows & celebrities that are trained in on-camera behavior. Not all of it is fake, but statements are always the boring agency talking points.

Not that we know if she hasn't been single not that long ago. Marriages can happen quite fast sometimes, it's just not that likely.

I think you have a point, yes kdrama writers should do a better job researching foreign themes or just not go there if not paid well enough to do so.

However I don't think if someone is serious about about their Muslim faith they should be watching kdramas, there are so many themes in these shows that go directly against most varieties of Muslim teachings, that I find it hard to empathize with Muslim viewers that only show up to be butt hurt about something specific that's related to the Arab/Muslim world. Especially calling out the name Iblis like this, I think that's just silly. Blaming the actors? That's just wrong.

In Chinese society it's very difficult to break with family. What you are describing would be very difficult & is super rare. Tuition is not a problem, but even just signing up for college without your family's consent may be impossible, at least when you do it from within the regular high school system.

Ok seems like a few epis later it's not that strong anymore, but oh wait another girl appears..

Edit2: Oh gawd, regarding the bathroom scene, are they really doing this? That's so very 2004 kdrama of them.

Whoah, the love triangle is really no joke in this one, dang. It's above average stupid too, I mean the plot is basically almost dating up until second ML shows up & then half the time is wasted on his ridiculously over the top courting, at least up to where I'm at.

Oh they got into a minor accident, I guess I did not consider that possibility. Well this gets the point across as well.

I'm watching episode 4, they've just gotten into the car. I'm thinking either police punishment will happen, or Yan Ke already has a license. Will the cdrama genre surprise me today? xD

It is Goblin.
Guardian.. is the official name used on Netfix?, imdb and MDL.
They did this, because Goblin means a different thing in Korean mythology than in English, so here we are.

It has been like this already in 2018, not sure when exactly it happened.

Goblin has some of the strongest scenes, sets and acting performances in kdrama history. There are tear jerking scenes, epic scenes & humorous scenes. Sure the drama is not perfect -and yes the ending is a bit weak- no kdrama ever is, but it really is packed with some of the best things plausible for a show of its kind.

I mean.. This one seems to have super angsty family relationships vs. the cutiepies of Lovely R.

Yeah I sense the same, I think I'll won't be able to watch it, but the OST seems very promising.

It's been so long, but this is still the best kdrama I have ever seen.

I'm not contesting anything you are saying -well except me being ignorant of a condition I myself kind of had for a while- , but I don't think you comprehended what I tried to communicate in my review.
Hint, look at FL & her room in these flashback scenes & think again.

The mental health issue is a real thing, but the representation in the drama is not realistic. Anyway let's just agree to disagree.
