Storytelling is not the issue here. It's the fact that there's a line between realism and fiction.

People who are watching these series are grown women and some teens. Similarly to video games, consumers should know how to differentiate life real and non real life. In video games, i can kill, rob, and be as violent as I want but I know it isnt right in real life. Anyone who takes fictional work seriously needs thearpy; not a total reform of arts and crafts. That's completely dismissing accountability and blaming producers, artists, musicians, etc.


Let's be real. If you're wanting realism, watch a documentary, not some fictional drama series.

But yah certain scenes are throwing me off. CDL is a strong actress but certain parts make her acting come across as weak.


Camerawork, while is refreshing in certain angles, it does get repetitive after seeing it 5x in one episode but it's this director's favorite way of shooting so it is what it is.

Storyline isnt bad thus far. I'm intrigued.

Yes, he can act!! I think he's one of the best in his generation. I became so obsessed with him after 12 Letters that I binged all his shows in two weeks XD

Alright. I watched 9 episodes in one day and similarly, I was confused AF from 1-5. The pacing and storytelling does slow down in episode 6.

My opinion has changed now that I'm caught up. The pacing and cutting in the first few episodes were horrible and I dont think it was intentional. It just wasnt good. It didn't come across as the director/producer had intended basically. There are a lot of other complexities and multi-layered issues the story is trying to showcase all at once while focusing on the leads but the lack of experience (I might say), is what makes the cutting and pasting feels so off.

While they're trying to quick shove this "real bond" between the leads in our faces, it could had been better if they slow down the pacing a bit and let us the audience feel the bond and friendship build. As audiences, we want to feel connected to our characters. What's their personality like? What's their motive/purpose? Do their actions make sense/match their motives? What's driving the plot forward? I think by now I understand which way the story is going and what style the director/producers are going for.

The acting is good so far and ZYR is serving as always. The OST is so good and the slowmo scenes are actually pretty good imo.

I'm on episode 4 and while I like the fast paced storytelling, it is choppy.

I'm also noticing there's "less" censorship. Is it because the setting is in Thailand hence why the restrictions were less strict?


This might explain why we're getting so much tension even certain movements and shots were suggestive.

I cant remember the last time I watched a chengyi drama but I'm obsessed. The storyline and pacing is so good. The music is a bit off for me sometimes but loving everything else.

I think she's also pretending. She has her memories but is too weak to do anything to the ML currently.

Did the drama ever explain how or why Jaeyi's courtyard was covered in broken jars/glass? Or why there were signs of shamanism all over? I assumed it has something to do with the stepmom and her voodoo shit.

Lmao it was much more. They basically lived together like a married couple for months. He even braided her hair and tied it into a low bun using the hair pin he bought.


If it makes anyone happy, that gesture is significant in old korean culture. It means she's taken/married.

Watching Zhang Wanjun reclaimed her name and identity sent goosebumps down my back. The actress did such an amazing job at displaying female rage and years of agony and despair.

Absolutely powerful moment for her daughter to witness.


I really love the different daughter and mother dynamics they've shown in this drama so far.

Episode 21 was so empowering especially watching it as a woman!!

I rather live my life as a bad shameless woman than to be a good virtuous empty of a shell one.
