I noticed alot of ppl are mad at GSJ for voicing his opinion regarding the elders decision to pardon GZY breaking the rules. I think GSJ sounds reasonable and is within his right to be upset. What we've seen so far is that he's a pretty righteous dude... in his own way. They have iron rules set for hundreds of years and now one rule was broken and the elders pardoned that. Their reasoning was that GZY broke the rule for the sake of the Gong family.
GSJ said that if GZY fails the trials, they need to change leadership in which the elder responded that changing leader is "against the rules and has never happened before ". GSJ then went on to say something along the lines of how the Gong family is currently unstable due to lack of leadership and so for the "sake of the Gong family" , this rule needs to be broken. He threw the elders' words back at them using their same reasoning. He also argued that the elders are changing rules to accommodate each situation and scenario as they see fit.
I agreed that it's contradictory. Where do they draw the line when it comes to pardoning rules if everyone is going to use the Gong family as an excuse. I can see that all of the Gong men have their family's best interests at heart and are trying to protect it in their own way. But fighting amongst each other when times are uncertain isn't the smartest. This is how a kingdom falls when too many princes are fighting amongst themselves for the throne and not the enemy lying in wait.
Pleaseee the tension between GSJ and SGQ has me screaming on every frame. So far we're getting a lot more relationship…
Just got done with episode 8 and I'm definitely loving the contrast between the two couples. The leads scenes are so sweet and soft. GZY proving that he can be her whole world just by doing little things. And the way he indirectly confessed to her LOL
As for the 2nd couple, why my dude GSJ gotta be so serious all the time. I swear I'd die if he ever smiles. Also I noticed that in today's episode, he showed a lot more emotions towards SGQ. The way he tried to keep a straight face after their azelea conversation. Between the two of them, I think he's going to fall for her first... or he already felled. I can't tell whether SGQ is acting or not when she show certain emotions in their scenes. I guess she's just that good.
