Strictly conjecture on my part, but I feel like Winner is King would make him a STAR. I think he's already a fantastic…
I agreed Winner Is King will make him, Chen Zhe ? (I cant remember his name but the lead from Hidden Love) alongside with Li Hong Yi (?) all stars. I believe it's one of Priest's most popular novel. I have yet to read it but looking at cuts and stills, they all look so damn good especially TCJ in that getup and mole under the eye. Chefs Kiss for the styling.
Finally done with all 39 episodes! Palace politics front and center ep. 38-39. Happy there is no cliff hanger and ended exactly like how a good season should end. Though i do have some questions regarding chengrong nation.
1. FL and XY are royal descendents of the fallen chenrong nation so I'm assuming that's why they get a pardon and a pass to continue to live in wealth and riches with their status (just no titles). Gonggong is the general of the same fallen nation, do we know if he was given a pardon as well as the opportunity to live with good grace and status? Or is he just a stubborn general that views switching over to xiyan as a betrayal to oneself?
2. Why is everyone in the central plains/chenrong ok with Xiyan ruling over them? I'm surprised that the remaining royal families arent the main ones secretly plotting the rebellion? It's been a very long time since I've read Once Promised so i cant recall if all of the royalties in the chenrong nation were killed. I vaguely remember how the emperor died but not his kins. I'm assuming FL and XY's dad was in the first novel since he was the prince?
Can someone share about the comments on Zhang Wan Yi's performance in the drama? Nothing much is said about him.…
I felt the same when I was trying to convert my friends over from watching kdrama to cdramas. I was able to find lots of fan made edits of XL and TSJ but barely none of CX. The actor is killing it. Where are all his fans at?
I am going to finish Mysterious Lotuc Casebook and Heartbeat. Then start (and probably drop) Love you 7 times.…
Ugh i need to get moving on MLC. Im currently on episode 3 and it's starting off a bit slow for me. A little confusing too. I heard that it's probably one of the best drama so far for 2023. I need to hold on for Cheng Yi
Okay, this is my last excitement for today: I just noticed today that Zhang Wanyi (Cang Xuan) is rumored to be…
I've never seen him before so I think I will definitely be checking out his future works. I saw that he has one upcoming drama with the FL from the longest promise.... i know fans said she can act and did well in the previous projects but TLP wasn't for me. I hope they write her character well. I noticed with cdramas, the writing for female characters (novels) tend to be very good but when it comes to adaptions, they tend to water them down a lot
Here are some key events from episodes 33 to 39:33 - Jing wakes up. Grandma Tushan's worsening health makes him…
that's it you've convinced me to get the express package! i dont want this weighing on my mind all week. I usually watch it at night before bed and I've been having crazy dreams so let's end it once and for all. see yall when season 2 is here!
What u watching now other than lyf?P.s i thought ding ye is not bad 👀 hehe jkjk
Love You Seven Times (I'm at episode 10 and it's finally picking up) will see where this one goes. Hidden Love has been on my to watch since the beginning and I may need to go to that first since I need some fluff. If not I was thinking about The Red Sleeve (K-drama also tragedy). Usually after a heavy series, I tend to take a break for the sake of my mental health.
That can't be true since deng wei said he auditioned for the role of Jing and he got it. All the ml have auditioned…
Very true. Tong Hua also personally wanted YZ to play XY. If it wasnt her, she didnt want this to be adapted at all. Perhaps past trauma of her other novels being poorly directed and acted out LOL
On a side note, I really hope this team can redo Once Promised. It's also one of my favorite TH's novels and it's as equally tragic.
I think BaiLu as Ah Heng would be good since she can act and has the range for it, if not her, perhaps Liu Yi Fei. As for Qi Yo, not sure. I really like Luo Yun Xi (he can ACT) but a new face would be nice.
I know majority of the comments talk about XL vs Jing, and tbh I didn’t care for CX at first. But after watching…
Facts! I'm trying to convert and convince my friends who are avid k-drama watchers to watch this one. So I'm sharing fan edits and reels, we are bless with an abundance of XL and Jing's edits but rarely none of CX. I tell them there are three MLs but can't find any edits soley of just the first male lead at all haha.
Where are all the CX/ZWY's fans at? He was also a fan favorite in the novel.
Before I ask this question, just want to say that XL is my FAVE character (even though I'm happy to hear that…
No to CX cause he's too ambitious that means a life full of ups and downs and these aren't your typical ups and downs either. This includes assassination, fake persona/mask, and kissing ass. Every waking moment has to be calculated and you can't trust anyone. I wouldn't live to see old age. Also as a woman, I couldn't and don't want to share my man with other women.
Though I love XL dearly, I can't see a life with him. Guys like him are doom to die young/early (no offense). It's a recipe for sad and short tragic love that would cause a lifetime's worth of heartache and longing. Also we are too similar in terms of certain traits that we possess (like XY), we wouldn't work out since neither is willing to cross the line. And oh the headaches from arguing cause we wouldn't see eye to eye. Perhaps as FFB, a normal life would be possible however at the end of the day, he is still XL through and through.
Everything about Jing screams husband material. He's patient, warm, and very loving. He's like a golden retriever... However I don't like uncertainty and plus his inability to step up and be firm with boundaries (with family) would really bother me. We've all heard about monster in laws and I aint trying to deal with crazy overbearing inlaws.

I dont want my mind to wonder 🙈

I personally wouldn't also do a "secret" relationship either. I'm not trying to be a side chick or a mistress in this case.
And friendzone to CX all the way. He's a better friend than a lover.

In the end, I guess I'm choosing myself ðŸ˜
The next life, I think is going to be the student/teacher one (also my favorite life as well), ML will keep his memories.
