I'm a sucker for enemies to lovers trope but it has to be equal on both ends. Example, the amount of pain caused to each other has to be even out. The redemption also has to be balanced. The love has to be deep and convincing to where the previous acts of hurt and hatred no longer lingers.

It's not fair when one person is the only one doing all the loving, sacrificing, redeeming, etc.

LOL i was thinking the same. I couldn't remember if the master actually had a donkey since we were so focused on the angst.

I love how the DG was disappointed about not being able to ride it. He got that work/life balance in check.

So are you implying that he already knew who she was and what she could do? Or did he found out in that moment right after she shot the arrow at him?

Edit: nevermind i just saw it. Still it's a bit confusing. Perhaps that "its you" meant "oh its you the chosen one" rather than actually knowing who she is and what she can do?

BUT how much time they really need though. They're immortals so couldn't they just like draw a tailsman and use a barrier for privacy.

Finally! I'm hoping storyline of the drama stays true to the novel. The slowburn is what i absolutely love about it.

I've only seen CFY in Lighter and Princess and i really liked him in it. It wasn't dark per se but heavy enough where he delivers the emotions and dialogues needed.

I'm sort of sad cause it's been on the shelf for so long that censorship is going harder to pass by. Things have changed so much from last to this year that im afraid revision and adjustments will be needed.

Love and redemption when XJ kissed Sifeng on the chest? Cant remember if it was the chest or the collarbone but you know, that infamous steamy kiss scene.

LYX is gonna make such a good Chu Wanning. I'm a bit concerned for CFY since Moran is such a complex person/character and not to mention my all time favorite fictional protagonist so standards are high

There is a part in the novel where TTJ was the DG and they had sex when she was "undercover" but he knew who she was and pretended not to.

TTJ's secret wish is for LSS to beat him every night. LOL we read that in the novel. Every time she beat him, the nails would burn strongly.

They should have kept the cuts this way instead they did it in reversed which was confusing to follow. I watched that episode twice just to understand... and still couldn't really follow.

Yes i think so. Was watching the BTS and i heard Bailu said to LYX when they were shooting that scene "oh this is a flashback"

DG definitely didnt plan for LSS nor forsee how deep TTJ'S love is. He figures betrayal after betrayal, the guy will cave in. It was his love for LSS that kept him sane and on the right path.

The next few episodes are going to be extremely dark and angst now that we're at this turning point of no return.

Today's episode was so good. The reveal of TTJ'S backstory and origin was executed extremely well. The bgm, acting, and tension. His realization behind the meaning of his life and how everything was already "preplanned". I would have turned evil that at moment as well.

Give it up for CJM's master. It's already in a spoiler but i think his turning point is definitely after his master's death. He's going to realize it doesn't matter how hard he tries, he's destined to go down this path of destroying the world. He's always going to cause pain for others and bring downfall to those he cherishes.

I've been waiting for an air date for this since forever! I hope the air date is true. I'm gonna need another angst drama to recover from the angst here
