i survived TTJ's story but XL is more tragic and we don't even know his full story. im not gonna be okay after…
XL'S background will be explained a little later on when he takes on his other alias. There wasn't a lot of details but you get the glimspe of how he grew up and the reasoning for undying loyalty to the chenrong army.
This man just gave her stars under the sea... My favorite is Jing.... My favorite is Jing...
In one of the earlier episodes, there was this scene where Jing and XL met each other and the contrast between them was summer and winter. I think that fits their love language perfectly.
I see Xiaoyao as a butterfly. She deserves to see and smell only the prettiest of all flowers and fly where the sun always shine on her. Jing can give her exactly that. XL's cold nature will kill the butterfly and flowers but we saw how he was still able to protect the butterfly and show her all the prettiest flowers... and that flowers do not only exist on land. They can also exist under the sea.
How many times did you re-watch that particular 2mins scene in ep 11(at 0.8x speed)under the water along with…
In an different universe, I imagine XL aggressively pursuing her just like how he aggressively pursue his goals and enemies. If he does, it's end game for everyone else.
She would had probably played a bit hard to get at the beginning cause they're after all, enemies to lovers.
Episode 11 and 12 was solid! The chemistry, acting, bgm.... all chefs kiss. I'm loving every moment she has with all her leading men.
Scenes with CX are full of sadness, longing, regrets, and they're just so bittersweet .
Scenes with Jing are so sweet, heartwarming, and uplifting. Jing is such a green flag guy. His sunshine puts a smile on my face. He may not be confrontational or be on the front line playing power like the other two, but the force and power behind his love for her is extremely moving.
My guy XL. His scenes are fire. The emotions and hidden messages of love are so overwhelmingly touching. I think he's really come into terms with how he feels but as we know, he will never tell the girl.
I'm really loving the directing and how uncensored this drama is! Im so happy they kept all the major plots and important details.
Am I the only one or does Alen Feng aka Ah Yuan looks a bit like Hyun Bin from certain angles? Like they got the same nose and eye shapes. I swear everytime he's on screen, I'm like "younger version of Hyun Bin".
Awhhh today's episodes were so good. It took me a week from episode 1 to get here and I can usually binge 16 episodes in three days but it was just so slow. I was going to drop it at episode 13. I'm glad I didn't.
Though we didn't see much actions from SY other than just mediating in these two recent episodes, ZY carried it. I felt her longing, sadness, and love. I may have missed this but what's the significance behind the wishing tree? Does that represent SY's newly awaken worldly desires? I feel like the wishing tree is foreshadowing the future when all hell breaks loose and the two of them meet again in that dreamlike realm. ZY is still oblivious to the fact that he's the real thing so she may end up venting her emotions to him in that realm.
Up to episode 5. Will wait until next week to binge. So far, I really like it though Yan Hui here is less aggressive and a bit different from the novel, she's still likeable. Ting Yao is hilarious. His long face and nonchalant reactions and responses to everything is exactly what's needed in a main lead. I love the hot tempered, aggressive FL and the quiet, weak but not so weak ML trope.
This is supposed to be angst so coming straight from TTEOTM, the humor is nice, though simple, very much needed. I also like the two leads, visually they match very well. We need more time to examine chemistry.
I know the drama is full of agony, misunderstanding, betrayal but that doesn't mean that the ending we get is…
Well 500 years did passed so she had time to go through all stages of grief. we've only had less than 12 hours 😆 most of us are still in the denial / anger stage.
The drama decided to go with an open ending versus bad ending like the novel. I preferred this better. There's…
Other than that, round of applause to the cast and team, especially to LYX's performance. BL's chemistry with him was hot.
Thanks for the fun discussions these past few weeks. Now I can finally go back to being normal again LOL see everyone again when Immortality finally decides to air.

There's a chance he'll come back and be able to live out peacefully with his family. There's also a chance he'll never be back. I think as a viewer and a lover of philosophy, it's sad and heartbreaking to think that someone who we were rooting for turns into nothingness after death. We'd like to believe he has gotten some sort of peace but that peace isn't satisfying because there's no happily ever after on his part.
Questions, did LSS really reached nirvana or was that an illusion? How did she suddenly ended up in Jing kingdom in her demon wedding garments? That cut was confusing to follow even after rewatching it again.
Lots of loose ends. GYJW and MV - what happened to them? Did he ever remember her betrayal? How and why did he forgive her? What about the array? Did he ever find out it was TTJ who assisted them in killing himself off? Did he and LSS ever made up since he decided to sacrifice LSS's life?
What about NBY and the tribe? YQY? I personally feel like lots of time was wasted on unnecessary things and not enough on tying up loose ends.
My frustration seriously has no end at this point. I'm extremely frustrated with how the writer wrote LSS's character these past few episodes and the direction her character went. Luckily I read the novel so I understand her motives and what she's trying to do. She was much more sympathetic, consistent, and solid. And her being cruel to him was extremely justified till the end.
Drama wise, she's just all over the place. If you're going to be cruel and judgemental, stay true to your nature. It doesnt make sense when you're jumping from one end to the next. You were going to marry this man just a few hours prior and now you're back to sitting on the fence again questioning the intentions behind his nature. How can a someone have so little trust in the person they love? Did she not see how he was raised? How he grew up? How he was excluded, hated, betrayed over and over again, etc? If that was my beloved, I'd be fuming, raging and ready to demonize with him. I would become his sword, be his shield and armor. I'm just saying she should know his personality by now and see that he's acting sus.
Anyways, that bed scene though. At least they both got some in the midst of all this anger. Nothing like some angry makeup sex. Nothing like enemies with benefits .
After so much sufferings, betrayals, tortures & insults its a wonder how TTJ still didn't snapped & became DG.…
In the novel, i hated her 3/4 of the way till the very end. She was extremely cruel to him. TTJ never received her love. He lived his entire life thinking he devoted his life to a woman who has and will never love him back.
Tombstone scene is tomorrow and we will see how regretful LSS is. She did suffered and searched for 1000 years so 500 years more than him. That was satisfying enough for me LOL

The scene was hot but if they would had changed out of formal clothes and removing ornaments, the scene would had been 10x more intimate.
