I personally watched most of her drama (been watching kdramas since long time) and I have never had any problem with her acting. Her style is natural to me unlike some who overact or others who are one dimensional . She was in good projects especially her historical dramas but been in some not good ones too like other actors. The not good projects were due to writing problem not acting problem. She would not have won many awards and been chosen in Forbes most influential Koreans twice if she was not seen good in her country as some internationals like to claim. But at the end of the day, we people have different taste and connect with actors differently especially that they r from a different cultural. I personally have some that I avoid or fast forward through and some of them are supper famous with internationals. The only thing I can say is to watch the first episode or two and make up ur own opinion. I have seen some people giving her flack and when I asked which dramas they watched for her, they said non. There is also a lot of stuff against her coming from personal hate and not professional one since she dated an idol 10 years ago and she endured so much hate and bulling . The relationship broke off soon after and the idol killed himself 3 years ago unfortunately . So, u need to take the flack with grain of salt and make ur opinion from watching yourself.
Also, I unfortunately see many female actress get a lot of unnecessary flack from women who watch kdramas (well, we all know that most of the people who watch dramas are women). It looks like most internationals- women like couple of actresses and wants them in all dramas which is really impossible. I actually feel sad about that because women already have to go through so much and it’s not necessary for us to spread negativity about other women who work hard in the field of their choice. We can of course provide constructive criticism but don’t need to be part of bulling and hate groups.

Have u read the review by DKC (it’s on the main drama page now)? if u read it maybe u will see why many people gave very low ratings.

It looks like Kim Seon Ho is going to have a gust role in this drama (his name is added to the cast) ! I’m exited about that as it’s the only drama I’m going to watch in December to end the year with a positive thoughts!

I was waiting to see who the writer of this drama is and I’m exited to see the name finally. It looks like a new writer really. Shin Se Kyung already cooperated with a new writer in rookie historian and her character was amazing there. One of the best fl I saw in kdrama because she was a strong, independent and very smart girl and also her character remained true to herself up to the end and never reduced to dismal in distress like what happen in most kdrama. Her intake on the ml was also very good and his character showed consistent character development. Hope this writer will be also very good and both Shin and Siwan will shine. Many famous writers were very disappointing this year and I’m all for new talents.

Not really. Both ML and SML were jerks in some ways really (grey character who do good but also bad). It was very common in older kdramas to have such jerky ml and only in the last several years that changed. But both were driven and worked hard. They were competing in the fashion world. The ml comes from poor background but rise up. The SML comes from a rich family but has so many issues with overbearing parents but still works hard. The problem is how the ml lead kept using the fl to rise up and get back on the sml. He wanted what the sml had and even went after his ex-gf first neglecting the fl and only come to love the fl when he sees how much the sml loves her. But also the sml does questionable stuff like hiding a letter the fl got from the ml to go to him (but that actually after he abandoned her in a very missy situation) so, in a way it’s very conflicting weather to hate him or not especially the fl character suffered from the old types of troops of being overly naive, allowing others to stomp over her ...It’s a missy and different type of drama but it’s one that the sml gets the girl. I personally want the fl to end up by herself but I’m not the writer lol.

Kinda soon, I just left a comment here for hyunniebuns to clarify more. If u like dramas that inspirational, then it’s not this one. Actually the sl was very sneaky and manipulated the situation to end up in his favor. But to me, I was like why not! Why sl has always to be shown as sacrificing and not greedy. It was a refreshing intake to a sl character for sure after years of watching sacrificing sls.

The drama had some issues for sure and an older one too. In terms of being different, it was different than other kdrama. Some people liked it because it seemed more realistic especially the ending but most people were so mad about it. U have to pick which side you choose. But it’s a drama were the sl get the girl but u might not like how that came by. There was a lot of manipulation in the drama and it’s not an inspectional drama. It’s actually a reminder that sometimes real life can be shitty even if u work hard.

Fashion king is a drama were the girl ends with the second lead too. It’s a bit of a crazy drama though and an older one (2012 if I’m not mistaken). U love and hate all characters equally, like love them in one episode and hate them in the next. It has very bad reviews in this site because of its ending but I liked it. The second lead was not like other normal second leads who is ready to sacrifice the girl. It’s just different and unique drama.

She is awesome. If u don’t connect with her acting, just don’t come to her stuff spreading negativity. That’s uncalled for.

It’s meant in a comical way really as this Is a romcom. U need to watch the trailer to see it. In it, She is asked do u believe in fate, her answer, only if the guy is handsome :) so it’s not that serious.

I can’t imagine this kids thingie as In my mind they will hardly spend 2-3 years together and then divorce. That’s how such relationship works in real life.

The trailer was just added to the swoon YouTube account. It’s nice to see it with better resolution really and in big screen too. The leads look so great together. Can’t wait for this drama to start.

I watched him in rookie historian. After the first couple of episodes (he struggled in them and his acting was not the best), I actually liked him afterwards and thought he suited the character of the young, neglected prince very much. His character was also good there as there was a lot of character development and his acting improved with his character development.

If u watched boys over flowers and liked it, u could like this one too. For me they r both absolutely some of the worst kdramas that I watched or should say fast forwarded through.
