This drama is seriously underrated. I revisited again and still feel it’s so underrated,

Yes all before what happened. I would never try to watch anything after what he did. I’m a mom to a girl and he represents the worst kind of people I need to protect my daughter from.

No it was not because of him. I started watching Kdramas many years ago and when he has one it will be talked about and popular. So, I usually check them out. But was never able to click with any of his work. He exaggerates a lot and I don’t like this type of acting that screams acting. I dropped all of his dramas including this one.

I have never ever been able to finish any of his dramas. I started many of them and his acting was always hypocritical to me that I lost interest so fast. Even fast forwarding couldn’t save his work for me. I can only assume all the hype about him is due to his looks for many. You really didn’t lose anything by not watching.

She is filming a film these days. I also hope she will have a new drama soon. There was some talk about a drama but I haven’t heard anything about it being confirmed yet.

As a non white person, I’m most disgusted by people like you who defend such a disgusting person who when almost 30 groom a young 15 years old in this way. Don’t even dare use the term racism to defend a disgusting person like him. You are not worthy and a disgrace for us non white people.

Then don’t watch and don’t come here trying to spoile it for other people! Im sick and tired of many of you just keep critisizing korean actress in this way! Just go and watch what you like and leave her alone.

You don’t have to agree with her point but it was confusing for her as a Chinese and I can see why. And how she put it, it was confusing due to using several dynasties in one dynamic not because of the fantasy element. When I read the novel, the write paid a lot more attention to the proprietary of the historical element even in a fantasy world. One clear example I can give is the description of the scene when XN went to the Marquis house to save her friend. If you read it, you can see that the writer was very consistent with historical description. Regrading, GOT, I’m not at expert in the English history, nor about the criticism or lack of toward it. As for that, I can’t judge. The only thing I remember in GOT stirred a lot of stuff while airing too.

She was mostly criticizing the director for how he portrayed him. I can tell that she is not a great fan on the main cast. But this criticism was to do more with this drama I think. She even said that he was much better in other dramas and suggested his fans to watch maiden holms. I agreed with some stuff she said, but I take what she say as an understanding of her views not mine. It’s easier to see it this way as we people are different and cant impose our liking and dislikings on others.

It wasn’t that bad really and some stuff were logical from her perspective as a Chinese. I agreed with some stuff she said as I noticed them while watching but ignored them as I watch for the entertainment. For example, I noticed bai Lu way of taking with her upper lips. I like her as an actress but it was obvious in her way of taking in this drama.

But I kinda understand. Her main criticism was about using different dynasties that existed centuries apart in the same setting. She was even clear in her examples about the girls wearing customs for a certain dynasty while their servants are wearing customs belong to a totally different dynasty several centuries apart. For her as Chinese, this makes sense. It would to me too if I’m watching something from my culture that was confusing like this.

I sometimes watch what she has to say, but I don’t necessarily agree with her. It’s just interesting to listen to someone with interest in Chinese drama. Sometimes, she provides a different point of view that as a non Chinese person can be interesting. But as I said, you don’t have to agree with what she say. We are people of different tastes and preferences.

XW is the son of YL aunt and she was married to the Xue guy (the brother of the emperor mother). So, he is his father. XW and JXN romance will start towards the last part of the drama.

It was described a lot more in the novel because the novel was narrated by her. For me, the novel let me has a lot more feelings that the drama did. I really cared for her as the main character and felt the angst, darkness of her first life and how she tried her best to make the second one better.

She became his concubine in the novel and the mom blamed XN for it. But maybe they will change that in the drama. They already changed so many things.

He deserves it. I discovered him since one and only and I think he is very good actor. I was surprised by his age. He can hold himself quite well with other more experienced actors.

They added to novel part to avoid the Chinese government censorship. It was not in the novel. Even in the novel, it was toward the end that they got together. It was like the writer wasn’t sure w should XN should end up with. Someone also said that there was a poll by the write to pick the guy she ends up with. But maybe they will change stuff in the drama. They already changed many things so far.
