No , she is not pregnant. In the novel, it was actually JM who says she is pregnant to the empress. She thought the empress will not kill her if she thought she is pregnant with her grandkid but the empress got so mad and wanted to kill JM even more. Not sure why they gave this line to XF in the drama. But she is surly not pregnant.

In the novel, XF and JM did not go to the mortal realm. (They went after they were married)! The drama spends so much time on that, yet some fans did not seem mad about it. Also, in the novel, JM was totally unfeeling during the whole time until she spilled the pill. She did not have any feeling for XF and the sleeping together part was totally different, yet some fans were not mad that they completely changed her character and the sleeping together part. Also, when she was morning her dad, she spends equal time with both RY and XF (not just XF), yet some fans want to see her OTP with XF only! The drama diverted from the novel long long time ago. But for some fans of the drama to be mad at the changes now as JM and XF don't spent time together just DOES NOT make any sense at all. It's time to build up plot. The drama already diverted from the novel long time ago. Now, they r going to go back to the actions of the story. after all, they gave people the romantic parts they carved! Maybe those complaining fans need to go out a bit more and try to find their own romance instead of looking at it on TV and rant about not seeing enough OTP of two actors in a drama!

She loves RY and I guess will do anything for him. Everybody is doing crazy things for the name of love lol.

Night was a lead in the novel. I don't understand why some people complain about his story. JM and XF already got a lot of time together. Now, it's time to work on the plot of the drama. It honestly can't be all about OTP between the 2 leads. We won't have a story then! But I agree about the princess and her story. It's just taking too much time.

All Chinese dramas are long due to the fact that they r sold by episodes. I don't agree or like that but it's the fact about the industry unfortunately. I know people who already dropped this drama long time ago because to them it's silly redundant love drama that won't change anything or challenge them. Even there are some YouTubes who already expressed their opinion of lack of interest in the drama after several episodes.
At this stage, its normal for the drama to get more ratings as it getting more popular and it's not everybody's cup of tea. So people who watched couple of episodes and not interested will rate it low.
I saw a lot of discussion on YouTube of lack of interest about the demon princess story as it's really taking so much time. But not regarding Night. He remains the most debated character in the drama so far between people who support him or others who dislike him. That makes him a very interesting character in the drama.
The novel was presented by JM perspective and her interaction with both RY and XF. In the novel, JM spends too much time with RY and they have the OTP of their own too. This part was almost completely removed in the drama and that disappointed me. I thought it would be very interesting to show JM spends time and OTP with both guy as she did in the novel. It would have made the drama more inline with the novel and different than normal romantic dramas.
As I read your other posts here, I know you are avid supporter of XF, but without RY we really won't have a story. And I think even others (Gina and Mimi) in this discussion agrees with me that the novel was about JM, XF and RY. The three of them were equally important for the novel/ drama to be what is it.

I don't think anybody said XF had anything to do with JM father death. But his mom is a participant in the WG death. For sure , XF is smart enough to know that. He just won't invastgate it well as he knew it will implicate his mom. So, his mom is the killer of both JM parents.
Second leads are alywes center to any daram weather we like them or not. It well be super boring for a 60 episodes long drama just to see the main leads OTP. Their won't be a story to be told then. And at this time of plot development of this drama, I don't understand why people expect XF and JM love moments. It's just does not make sense. It's even worst for people who read the drama to expect that. Now, it's time to build up for her upcoming revenge for what she think he did, then his revenge against her.
They already spent so much time together in most parts of the drama (Heaven and mortal realsms). And more than half of last episode was about the demon princess! She get more time for her story than Night.

That's weird actually as in the novel Night was a center character. The three of them XF, JM, RY were equally important in the novel. In the novel, JM spends too much time with RY. I personally liked the novel so much that I came to watch the drama. But, to be honest I'm disappointed with the drama as it just turned into a normal romance story between XF and JM. The novel was totally different. JM was really unfeeling there. She was completely a stone and felt nothing for anybody until she spilled the pill. That made it unique for me. The drama diverted from the uniqueness of the novel actually.
It's also funny how people disattach themselves from reality completely when they r watching a drama. While many people are angry that JM and XF don't spent much time together, here I m wondering how it could be possible for a girl to be with a guy who's mother killed her mother and was main participant in killing her father!

I understand what you mean. But technically, night soldier did not lie. It was actually, SH with the help of the empress who took the form of XF to kill water god. Yes, sending the dreams to her is kind of manipulation but not a lie in a sense of what lying is. I actually watched raw. So, I'm not sure if the soldier know the whole story and that It was SH who took the form of XF to kill WG. I will wait for the translation to see.
While RY is master manipulator, but I can understand him. And we all know that he will end all alone as he ever was even after becoming the emperor (we already know how it's going to end lol). For RY, he had to walk on egg shells all his life -thousands of years- not to anger the empress to kill him, he was even engaged to a girl who never existed thus not allowed even to romance anybody he likes (if he did, the empress would have definitely used it as an excuse to kick him out or even to kill him) being completely shunned and pushed aside by everybody including XF who was his brother but went out of his way more to help JM than he did to his own brother. It's not surprising that he will end up manipulating anybody to his own advantage. Saying that, he is still not an evil person like the empress or SH who killed others.
I think if XF had the decency to treat his brother with respect, not to treat him as a doormat and talk to him honestly about how he felt for JM, and asked for RY help it would have ended up really differently. RY is not an evil person but was really treated badly even by XF who went behind his back to sleep with JM. To RY, it was more than his love to JM, more than his ambition to become the emperor. It was about how he was treated that he decided to go that rout. I'm not sure if what I mean is clearly explained . I think from RY point of view, the way XF treated him was very very bad. He treated him with total disregard and total disrespect to him, that RY had to retaliate. I think anybody in RY place, won't just set aside and do nothing in this situation becouse it's about who he is as a person, his character , his pride and self worth...
I'm not sure if you read the novel. RY told JM in the novel that he wanted to put a sword and destroy his soul completely when he saw her sleeping with XF. They made him feel totally worthless...like nothing. That's the worst thing u can do to anybody.

This drama is not for everybody. If you simply watch lovey dovey romantic dramas and just care for happy ending, this is not your cup of tea. However, if you like me some one who like dramas that shows humans as humans and showes really how lacking sometime humans can be, and if you really like to deeply get into the characters you r watching, and like to be shocked, then this drama is for you. I personally have it on the top 5 or even top 3 of best dramas I ever watched. It's unique and different. There are hundreds if not thousands of romantic drama, but this one is not. It's about ambition and greed. It's about human being who are not perfect. I just loved it.
I'm really pissed that people gave it bad review becouse they don't like more realistic shows and different ending. nowadays, all kdramas are cut and paste. The don't dare to make something like this story anymore becouse they just want to stusify the general public need for silly love dramas. Really, there are people who like something else. They just spoiled it for us.

One of the worst dramas I ever watched. I really don't understand what the hibe about. I honestly don't know how this drama is considered a popular kdrama! We start with a selfesh girl who takes her mom money and leave her mom alone to go to the US to be with her sister leaving hear deaf mother disituite! Then she meets the rich guy in the US who magically fall in love with her! Come on give me a break!
I also had a huge problem with what is considered a good chemistry between both leads. They looked as the despised each other actually while kissing. All kisses seamed forced. I can understand if you never really liked someone to think this is good chemistry. Believe me it's not!

You are right, in the novel she was like a stone and slept with XF to get "lingli" and she accepted RY and spent to much time with him. RY did not fix the pill in the novel.I don't think he knew of it there.

Many point presented here to show XF as an angel. I understand from the perspective of viewers, it easer to catagorize XF as guy with no mistakes and view RY as the evil guy. But, both of them have the good and the bad. I will share a bit about my view of XF and his darker side.

1. XF did not really care to be the future emperor, that's why he did not want to be named the crow prince. This will, to him, come with many sacrifices that he need to make especially in regards to the politics of the other realms. He just did not want to do that. So, he is not sacrificing for his brother. He is as ever, doing what he wants to do really. He was raised this way. To selfishly get what he wants.
2. I can understand that XF wanted to be filial to his parents, but there are many things that he could have done to help his brother out. RY was totally pushed aside and XF knew of that. Yet, he never went out of his way to let his brother share anything with him. What XF wanted, he took with total disregards to others even his brother e.g leading the army.
3. XF is viewed as filial to his perents, hence he could not help RY. That's is so wrong as XF went out of his way many times to help JM but never really once for RY. But, I can't deny that he payed due right to his brother when he helped him in the Demond's realm. However, never really went out of his way to help him.
4. XF went behind RY back and slep with JM (the scene in the novel was not lovely as in the drama. In the novel, XF pushed JM to the pond and she was trying so hard to breath through the kisses. She did not knew really what's going on or what she was doing) Regards of any love between the two, there is no justification what so ever to do that to your brother. They should have waited for her to be free of the engagement first. In that era of time, what XF did is so dishourable and if it was made a public knowledge could have led to really bad end for JM. At the end, he will get protection being the son of the emperor and empress. JM on the other hand will have be sacrificed for him. So calming the guy is so righteous and filial that he could not help his brother, yet he goes to sleep with his brother bride to be behind is brother back is just showing how flawed the argument is.
5. Everyone says that XF is filial to his family, hence could not do many thing he wanted. But, what about JM need to be Filal to her mom too. Her mom was killed by XF's mom. Yet, everybody talks about XF obligation to be filial to his perents, yet everybody ignores that JM also needs to be filial to her mother. I see that in almost all Asian dramas I watch. Total disregard to the femal needs to fulfill her needs too.
Personally, I think the 3 of them had the good and the bad. To see XF as the perfect good guy and RY as the evil one is just to simplistic in my opinion.

He is complicated and used the circumstances to his advantage, but he is not bad. The empress and emperor deserve to be removed. He is also very smart, but still very loving for JM. While, I was ok the XF and JM ended up together as they loved each other, I still root for RY and wish he finds someone to make him less lonely and happy. Also , in the novel XF is not that nice or good. Actually, he tried to drown JM and even strangell her, then end up sleeping with her, when she did not fully understand what's going on and betraying his brother.

Not really, I tried to watch it was I was exited about it but had to drop it...too draggy, silly story, unconvincing acting by both leads, no chemistry between the main leads etc....

Not really, you can check ashes of love though. It's a better drama but still airing.
