Can someone tell me why the writer wrote the plot like this??? Why did the twin sister girl suddenly seduce the…
I don’t know all the details as I just read some summaries in English. The novel is not translated yet. But in the novel, no one dies. DFS chalanges CY for a duel and tells him if he wins he can talks BQ. BQ was hanging from a rope. CY jumps over to BQ they fell into a big valley and assumed dead. But, the live together in seclusion. While DFS become the king. About MRF and The twin girl, I don’t know much honestly. For the other secondary couple, the guy waited BQ for 5 years visiting the place were he told her he will find her at. Fainally, he married the girl who loved him. Regarding the ending in the drama, CY is actually dead like everybody else. it is said that BQ is actually hallucinating that CY comes to her. She did that preciously in the drama. So, it is assumed that she is hallucinating again. Even if CY is back as some say, the emperor will never let him have BQ. It’s a risk the emperor will not allow because it means that CY will have more power than the emperor because BQ is the bulletin.
Over half of the drama the main leads were not together and the female lead ended up spending more time with the…
This called happy ending is also open to interpretation. Many Chinese people were saying that the main guy also died with everybody else and that she was the only one surviving. The last several seconds of their meeting are actually her hallucinations. In the drama she actually hallucinate that she meets him. People commented that’s the ending too. I actually tend to agree with this theory. Everybody dies for her to survive makes more sense than a happy end as a happy ending is not logical. If he survives, then he need to ansear to the emperor and the emperor will never let him have BQ. He will imprison her in the place like he did to the previous bulletin girl. Also, the actions of the main 2 leads were very questionable in the last 2 episodes and kinda not ethical. It was horrible of the director to make them like that. BQ agreed to marry DFS just to lead to his downfall and death. I don’t care if people liked him or not, but he was a guy who saved her life several time and protected her. Is that how she replies him. By betraying him in this evil way while she owns her life to him. Also, for CY who suppose to be the people’s hero, is that all he can do. Pretend to work with DFS while he is the horrible emperor man! Standing there and doing nothing when the girl he claims love the most is marrying another guy just to give him political gain. the director really destroyed them to me. I agree with you that everything was rushed in the end. It would have been a lot better have the director made them fake their death and disappeare instead of involving them in the political struggle in this unethical way. That’s how was it in the novel anyway. They faked their death and disappeared and DFS ended up being the king.
It’s up to ur own interpretation ending. We see everybody dies including the main lead in the last episode . Then, in the last couple of second the main guy appears as the masked hero. Some people interpreted it as a happy ending. But, when we watched the drama we also saw the main girl hallucinating being with the main guy while masked. So, many other people interpreted it as she is just hallucinating being with him. So, it’s up to the person to get what they wanted to get from the ending. For me, her hallucinating about him being with her makes sense far much more than him being alive.
I am very disappointed with Bin Bin role in this drama. For such an amazing actor, the character he played here is very tasteless. At first we are introduced to this CY who suppose to be the people hero but as the drama progressed, he just turned into tasteless and plain guy with no redeeming quality. It was even more disappointing to see him supporting his uncle the horrible emperor and even ask BQ to marry DFS so he can attak him from inside. I lost all respect for the CY when he done that. And really did not want him to get a happy ending. Happy ending should be deserved not given. While DFS appeared as this self centered and bratty guy, he was actually the most interesting and intelligent character in the drama. His and BQ bickering was one of the few things that kept me watching this drama. He was the only multi layered character in the whole drama. Such character are my favorite as they r more easily to connect with. To see him grew and learn to love after his lonely upbringing was very interesting,. I would have dropped the drama has he not appread honestly. Bin Bin is one of my favorite Chinese actors, I hope in the future he will get characters that are worthy of his talent but the character he played here in not my cup of tea. I also liked Austin Lin as an actor. He played the multi layered character of DFS impeccabley well. I will look forward for his new dramas.
I have finished the drama & all I wanna say that I am all for Fuheng and Yingluo
Me too, I despised the emperor for separating them. She did not really love the emperor. It was like, I’m stuck here a better try my best. I hated that. She should have refused to go back to the palace and led a better life for herself.
I'm kind of surprised by the fact that finding blood for the emperor was hard. AB- is rare, but it can also receive…
That’s Kdrama for u! They r full of these stupid mistakes. There r many examples of such stupid mistakes. For example in the recent drama left handed wife. The main guy supposedly got a kidney transplant. He needs to take a medicine for life for that or can’t even live for couple of weeks. But he lost his memory and don’t take his medicine and lives!
GTY offered to sacrifice himself and kidnap prince Yong’s daughter for Qi Heng as long as Qi Heng gave him permission…
I don’t think he was coward at all. he thought about his loved ones including Ming Lan. She and her family would have paid the highest price had GTY went ahead and kidnaped the princess. Her family is very ruthless. They already kiddnaped and rapped even higher ranking girl. Do you think they would have left the lower Ranking of Ming lan family alon ? They would have got their revenge on her and her family (it was already known that he favored them). Sometimes doing the unpopular thing is the right thing. I think Qi Heng did the right thing to protect his loved ones including Ming lan. He is a man of principle and would have never committed such terrible crimes like the likes of prince yong. But he is also a human being and for him to be angry and feel jealous (considering they live with very close proximity to each other and even considered family) is not that strange. He is not a perfect human and he loved Ming lan a lot.
I wanted to watch this drama because of Zhu Yi Long as he is really an amazing and talented actor but to be honest I don’t care much for the main guy. I watched him before and he doesn’t really connect well with the characters he is playing. I skip a lot of him in dramas as he just does not realy emerge with the characters

I think writers write because they want to tell a story not because they want people to see-conclude what they write is the right thing. As a person who studied literature, we were never taught to look at things in a rigged perspective. Most writers want to reach out to people not to tell people what they think in right. They want people to discuss, relate and debate their work. For example, the writer of this drama decided to give a backstory to RY because she knew it will make some people sympathetic towards his character yet it will be hated by others. Hence, she created a debate by doing so. On the other hand, she decided to change XF character from the guy who tried to kill JM and forced himself on her in the novel into this loving kind of a guy. It was vital to make XF character likable by the general public for the TV drama. Hence, she softened XF character up and made it more relatable to and less debatable by doing so. If u want to touch base on our previous discussion: I said JM loved XF in the mortal realm because thats when she started really having feelings for him regardless of her having couple of heartthrobs before that (which I didn't/don't deny they represent her growing feelings for him). Also, u said that XF loved her since he met her and I did not see that. I saw he was intertained by her ignorance and that why he took her with him and loved her long afterwards. I said that XF was partly responsible for the stabbing because he knew that his mother is implicated in killing waters god, yet he never was forthcoming with JM about it. Had he been honest with her, Would she be easily manipulated by RY and SH? Would she have stabbed him knowing he did not kill her father and that's his mother doing? I think we discussed several issues but came to no consensus. I still have the same opinions about it because that how I saw things. I'm sure you see things the same way as you saw them too. We stoped the discussion because each of us had strong convection about how we saw things. We agreed to disagree and that is totally fine with me. Not seeing things in the same light (seeing them totally differently)is one of the expected results between people discussing fictional works such as dramas and movies. That's why, for me my opinion is my opinion and it's not the absolute truth because as much as I value my opinion, others have the same right to value theirs.
Kind of true. i mean i love both Shishi and William...but all the scnence when Chen and Zhan were together, i…
That exactly what I think too. It's really sad. I hope things will change and we can get more diversity in Asian dramas to show that girls can move and be happy with theirselves even without finding the perfect guy.

I m going to check the 3 kingdoms then. Hopefully, I will like it. Maybe you can start with Korean movies like wanderfull nightmare, obsessed, mood of the day, the frozen flower, Addicted. They r not very long and u can test if u like to watch Korean stuff. There r many dramas too like the girl who see smells, strong woman do boon song (both are light watch nothing serious). For historical, six flying dragons, empress ki (both are serious with good character development). There are other serious dramas like missing you, the mask, k2, the healer (they are like contemporary romantic thrillers). Maybe any of them will interest you.
Dark night is about a couple who loved each other since they met as teens and how they were separated and met again and loved each other as adults. Its a modern fantasy as the two leads were lovers in their past life and reincarnated and loved each other in the modern day. The first half was really good and they show their story in the past and present. But once they stared the relationship, things slowed as in almost every other Korean drama. Still, the concept was interesting.

I like Chinese historical drama a lot more actually. My fav is nerivan in fire. This drama is a masterpiece but it's not for people who don't like politics lol. But when it come to contemporary dramas, I prefer Korean dramas. I tried to watch contemporary Chinese but for the life of me could never finish any of them! At least in historical there is wars and stuff.

I am talking about how we as human being interpret and understand, from the same drama, is very different from one person to another. While it's the same drama, what everyone of us conclude or understand from what we see is subjective. We as human beings are not robots. We could see the exact same thing and come up with totally different conclusion. That why, we all here have these diffrent opinions about characters, story etc...We decide to like who we like, dislike who we dislike differently based on our understanding and personally regardless of seeing the exact same thing. Even inside the same family, people relate to a movie they watch differently and have different likes and dislikes. How about such furom of diverse group of people from all over the world.
If you liked criminal minds, maybe you will like cold cases. I liked both very much. The nice thing about cold cases is that they revisit cases that were not solved trying to solve them. It cool that they showed different modern historical eras while solving cases. I also liked crossing lines, it's about an international police unit that tries to solve crimes in the EU. Too bad, they just made one season only. If you care for contemporary Korean, strong woman do bong soon was a good drama. And the recently completed drama whats wrong with secretary Kim. I liked the first part, but it slowed down afterwards. I also liked dark night (especially the first part), but the ending was sad.
I thought this show was pretty straightforward surprised at how many viewers that are misconstruing the meaning…
I personally think It very interesting and educational to see how people relate to this drama differently. People come from different countries, cultures, lifestyle, background, religious beliefs etc....we are bound to see things differently. What looks a straightforward thing for someone does not necessarily mean it should for another. At the end this is a drama and we relate to it (character, plot development, storyline,) subjectivity. There is no RIGHT or WRONG and no TRUTH or FALSE as this is not scientific facts. All our opinions and what we see are subjective and based on our life journey. We can't expect people from around the world to be the same. It actually will be totally boring if we all thought the same :)
Idk why but after watching this purely amazing show I tried looking for something similar and I saw many recommendations…
I personally liked TMOPB a bit more than this one due to the amazing acting of the main lead and also because both YH and BH had flaws but were both in equal putting in the drama. They both complement each other and were both equal in the relationship. But I also had some issues with the drama e.g how BH became completely different in the mortal realm etc.....In this drama, the girl was always inferior. XF was always the king and she is the servant, he is God and she is a grape. Even when she knew of her history and being a goddess, she never really took into that. I thought there was something really wrong with the relationship. I went a head to read the novel to get better idea. I could see things clearer in the novel as they cannot trick us with romantic scenes to cover up the flows. There I was able to see how sociopathic tendencies XF had. He was smart and strong for sure but a total jerk. He tried to kill JM and the sleeping together was forced and not nice. He also gloted with joy when he wonded her and saw her blood dropping everywhere. In the drama, I could not see real romance personally. It looked to me that they were trying so hard to create the perfect romance. I kinda understand why younger crowds will fall for that and think this is amazing romance. But, for more mature people, it just looks flawed (many I know, dropped it actually). Also, I had a big problem with JM lack of interest about what happened to her mom. She never even thought about what her mom gone through. Any normal being, after getting the unfeeling pill removed, will think and care about their family. She never once considered them. At the end, I thought the whole relationship was a master slave relationship not a real couple relationship. So, that why, I have difficulty taking the whole of the drama. People of course see things differently, but that how it looked to me. I also think the problem with Chinese drama being long to make more money creates so many inconsistencies in dramas. That why, I like Korean dramas more. They are most 20-24 episodes, but are better made and more consistent. My favorite Chinese drama so far are: nirvana in fire but it's not a romantic drama; sound of the desert, its romantic but very nice and more consistent, and recently I watched oh my general, while a skip some, it was very funny and cute. Maybe you can try to see if you would like any of them.

You guys said it perfectly, I guess as we grew and experience more in life, the idea of eternal and perfect kinda of love does not entertain us any more because in real life people move on. I also though the Chen and Zhan had more chemistry in the time they spent together. Too bad almost all dramas cater for young and inexperienced crowds these days.
It's my first time finishing a Thai drama. While it's not translated, I relied heavily on visual to get what's going on. It was light watch and I really liked it. Not too much of drama or evil going on, which is good. Glad I watched this. Althought I had to fast forward some parts as it's not translated.
