On Netflix, it says 20 episodes. Also, on Korean drama websites, it says the drama ends in September 20th which mean we have 8 more episodes. However, I really like this drama and the comedy parts and wish it was longer :)
kisses were slowly improving in recent dramas, in fact i was watching The legends where Bai Lu and Zu Kai had…
I think there r more 8 episodes to go not just 4. The drama ends by September 20th which mean another 8 episodes. Also, it is showed to have 20 episodes on Netflix. I also like this drama very much and wish they will make a second season with new adventures. That will be fun to watch. The comedy in this drama is amazing.
[warning: long ramblings ahead that drags on more than an amnesia plotline]If you're like me, a lover of sageuks,…
I understand ur point about the prince and how he did not get to do much in the last 2 episodes. After the mission, he went back to how he used to live. The only difference is that he fall in love and his love seems the centre of his life at the moment being not allowed to do much. But, I also see how this makes sense. It’s not his story at the end. It is to story of goo hae ryung. I wish the dramas was longer in order to flesh the characters more and show us more about goo had ryung. But it’s 20 episode drama and it’s already half way. I like that the next episode is going to show us more about goo hae ryung. As u said, we already sow that the prince can held himself up really well when given the opportunity as he did in his mission. I feel now it’s time to focus on hae ryung story more and for us to see that the prince stand by her side. I thought the romance was a bit rushed but I can see why hae ryung like the prince. It did not seem so strange. I think in a way she starred by sympathizing with him when he was not allowed to write more romantic novel and was treated badly after he came back by his father which I think he will turn up not to be his real father. I could see how her sympathy grow to liking. Being head strong and independent, I don’t think that she is at the moment looking for marriage or so. She is seeing where thing r going :). I also liked the other characters and that why I wish the drama is longer to get to know them better. I have to say my least favorite is the minster daughter historian. I did not like how she is trying to trap the crown prince while spying on him. But I can understand ur liking for such prohibited palace relationship. Officer min along with Goo Hae Ryung are my favorite characters in the drama. I kinda of ship them together. They have so much in common and intellectually similar. But I can see why she likes the prince. He is the opposite of her and brings other fun things to her life like walks on the beach and so on.
Idk, but main leads (Eun Woo's) smile looks so forced to me... And Se Kyung could make more facial expressions…
I have to disagree with u. At first I was skeptical about Eun woo being able to pull the role but as the drama goes on I really like him and I think he played the role really well. I did not see an forced smile. Same, for shin she kyung. She plays her role really well and her facial expressions is on point.I like her style of acting as I don’t like exaggerated acting in kdramas. For the crown prince and the historian. I did not see anything to care for so far. Their story is just good to serve the main story and that’s how I see it. The historian is already providing info about him to the minister. I did not like that about her. I actually sympathized with the crown princess more than I do with this historian. Officer min, is defiantly and interesting and complicated character. I like such characters and I like they way they r fleshing him out. I think this drama gave the actor an opportunity to shin. Many people like him already and he is getting a lot of attention.
I don't know if anyone can relate, but I was so annoyed with the end of episode 20 and preview for 21&22 that…
I was wondering who asked her to spy on the king and yes I had this why girl moment because I really like Goo Hae Ryung and don’t want her to get in trouble for anybody.
Can anybody tell me why this drama got so popular? I kept holding off watching this since this was the only really…
I personally don’t understand the hype about this drama but I also don’t under The hype about the heirs no my love from another start etc.. I was never able to finish any of these dramas nor understand why they r popular. They r just very silly and even stupid hyped up stores. My only guess is that they r lined up with the strange obsession of romance that many people of kdrama seems to have. It like the obsession of westerns with superhero movies thought they r all full of stupid stories and jus5 overrated cgi making.
Yoo Ah In and Lee Je Hoon together and they wasted this cast with a drama that will forever be maligned ? Not…
To me it’s in the top best 3 dramas I ever watched. I don’t think any actor was wasted here. I loved the 3 leads and the story. It’s not the typical silly and unbelievable romantic story. Too bad that the main stream taste ruins it for us people who like different shows like this one.
Then u guys should move to actors you like. There r many of us who like her and look forward for her dramas. I’m watching her newest 2019 drama and I’m Loving it so much. The best drama of the year to me.
It’s just her role. Not sure why u would dislike her for playing her character really well. She is really nice in real life. U can watch her in YouTube. She was her own channel and she is really very nice
I ship her with the second lead. I think he is reserved and careful but he is a good person that suits her well. I think with the prince, she is the one in lead and the one who goes out of her way to make sure he is safe. but with the second lead, they feel more of equal partners. He likes her intellect and respect her character. He also let her learn on her own accord but stand up and protect her when needed.
It’s a historical romance. It’s not necessary real history. There r many fictional historical novels, dramas…
I don’t know if u watched the latest episodes. But there is definitely realistic consequences to her actions. She was harshly criticized by the crown prince for her answer in the historian exam but he saw good potential for her to be chosen as one of the women historians. I’m sure if she wrote the same answer to the crazy emperor, he would have her killed. She was almost branded by fire by the crazy palace women. The only time I could see were she did not face realistic consequences was when she criticized the king after burning the books. but the reason for that was that she said that to the historian who actually agreed with her and did not rat her over. I think her character is pretty cool to me. I never thought that women in history were all alike or acted in the same way. They r human beings after all with different personalities and aspirations and many women historical figures were very important in social and gender change that got us to the better present we live at today.
It’s a historical romance. It’s not necessary real history. There r many fictional historical novels, dramas…
If we r to apply what u say on the males characters of the dramas u mentioned and many other more made in Korean and Chinese , we will come to the same result. These male characters are beyond fictional and ridiculously unbelievable for male characters at there times. A Korean king blinded by romance, princess romancing here and there etc...They r the extreme contrast of male rulers and ruling families at that time. Yet, we take them as they r - just a fictional historical romance. I guess what u say comes from our biased human minds. We tend to see those male characters as amazing and heroic when in facts rulers and ruling class members of that times married for power and money only. And let’s not forget that they all had many women to serve them in their places and even had a structure for women, the one coming from the strongest clan considered as the best. It’s just in our mind set, we r taught to see women in certain ways. For us, a woman in historical context should fit a certain standard but we neglected that a man in the historical context had to fit a certain criteria too. When I was watching moon embracing the sun, I was reading a lot about the history of China and Korea. It was at times difficult to take the character of the male king seriously as a representation of the history of the time I was reading about. But, at the end I took it as it is, a fictional historical romance :)
It's pretty, glossy, and lighthearted but I find it difficult to continue this one. The female character makes…
It’s a historical romance. It’s not necessary real history. There r many fictional historical novels, dramas etc.. many historical Korean and Chinese drama are made based on fiction but in historical times. This drama in particular was made after many women in the kpop industry came forward as being sexually harassed. It’s trying to empwer women. If u want to watch more realistic historical dramas, u can check six flying dragons, deep rooted tree ...
I find it funny that ppl are bashing others bc they have an opinion about SSK. Well, here's mine. Give her a chance?…
I don’t think anybody is bashing people for disliking her acting. People r entitled to like or dislike actors acting. For example, I never ever liked park shin hey acting. To me she has only 2 expression and always look the same. I don’t see acting when I see her just herself. The only drama of her that was kinda decent to me was doctors and I think it has to do with her amazing co-lead than about her. That being said, I never go to her dramas or page and try to say bad things about her. However, when it comes to shin se koung, I like her acting and her eyes expression and never had a problem with her acting. But if u go to her dramas or pages, u will find the most disgusting things are being said. What I dislike is that many people just say bad things about her more like cruel and mean. If u don’t want to watch her drama be it. No one is forcing u. But, when anybody deliberately starts saying bad stuff about her just because she dated their Kpop boy and they thought her unworthy of him, that an entirely different thing and has nothing to do with her acting. I personally respect how strong she is to survive when the fan girl of the idol tried to destroy her and sends her death threat etc...They were made to split up because of the fans but the sad thing is the guy killed himself couple of years ago for being unable to cope with his fans demand. Also, what annoys me is that most of those mean people are women themselves who think it’s fine to disrespect another women but when it comes to Korean good looking actors, they give them the pass for everything though many of them have looks but not talent and get treated like gods.
