Everyone, but Lian & his dad, is afraid of Yi. Yi has a mean & scary character. He doesn't care about anyone but his dad and Diao... he just doesn't show it.
Diao knew Yi when he was a child before England, but it was an incident and Diao lost his memory of the Chens.
The engagement is what Yi wanted and his dad reluctantly agreed... Diao is apple of his eye.
Diao possibly cried because he doesn't want to displease Yi. He wants their relationship to improve but Yi was like a stranger to him. Yi after England is all Diao knows.

SUMMARY:
Kon Diao / Diao / Tacha Wongteerawit: Born to a rich family, his family had an auto-part import business. His mother passed away when he was young. He has a step-mom, step-brother & step-sister… he thought they were not blood-related but they were his half-brother and half-sister, in fact. His step-mother was his dad’s mistress.
Kon Diao had small feature, sweet face, big round eyes with long lashes, a super sweet personality, kindhearted, cared for others, patient, polite, with bright & positive attitude.
His family was on the edge of bankruptcy. His fiancé, Yi, was keeping it afloat. The family didn’t have a good business sense.
It was an incident and Diao was sent to the boarding school in England when he was 7 years old where he met Kuea Kirati, his best friend. They grew up together and loved each other very much (as friends). He was there without coming home for a visit until he moved back to Thailand when he was 18 to begin his formal engagement to Yi.
Yi / Phayak Chatdecha Chen: Born to the very rich Chinese family with internal blood bath in the previous generations. They were like mafia family… they There were history of sibling rival with one ending as a solo survival. From then on, the rule is to only have ONE child in the family so the line of inhabitancy is straightforward.
Currently, the family was doing less mafia like operation, but they still could. Main businesses were the auto import & sales, Formula race track and security service company. Very-well oiled. Yi also was a partner of Lian’s Pentagon pub.
Yi had very fair skin, quiet, aggressive personality and loved to wrinkle his forehead… he had a mean/scary look that drove people away. He was hard working and obedient to his dad who loved & cared for him very much.
Yi went to an international grade school where he met Lian / Kilian Wong, his best friends. They both were Chinese who moved to that school around the same time. Lian was very talkative while Yi was a bit quieter. They became close friends because Lian offered Yi free soda that he wasn’t allowed to have at his home… they sometime bragged about the tiniest adorable fiancés that each of them had.
Phayak Chen: is Yi’s dad. He was tough and had full mafia blood, loved his family. He followed the family rule of having only one child to continue the bloodline. He raised Yi with love but stick… he wanted to make sure that Yi could handle family leader position. He also wanted Yi generation on to have clean business. He believed that the mafia should go away with his retirement. He handed everything to Yi when Yi was around 30. He was currently enjoying his peaceful retirement.
When Yi was young, he worked a lot and had no time for his family. Yi’ mom left. She re-married and had another 2 girls, Ing-ing & Aun-Aun… They are Yi’s half-sisters. Yi’s dad was very upset about that and cut his ex off Yi’s life… He still saw his mom & sisters but rarely. Yi’s dad never recovered from that… he hated that Yi’s mom had another husband / family
When Yi was young, he was kidnapped by his maid for ransom. His dad trained him what to do in such situation and he followed every bit of it… don’t resist, do what the kidnapper says, don’t cry, etc. and dad would come find you. He did all that and his dad found him in 3 days.
He was sick with fever by then. Other than that, he was fine physically. Mentally, he learned to never easily trust anyone… especially, a mother figure.

THE MEET: Yi’s dad had asked Yi how he imagined his soul mate… during one of his dad’s lesson. Payak taught his son… your wife was someone that win over you on everything… not like you couldn’t beat / compete with this person BUT you wouldn’t want to do so… You would want to ALWAYS loose to this person… You would want and allow this person to win over you every time.
Yi thought about it long and hard… days later, he came back to tell his dad that he knew the answer of what kind of person he would want as his wife. Yi told his dad that he wished for someone that resembled a cute porcelain doll… so he would always want to protect this person and never could do him any harm. His dad stunned by the answer and thought his son had mature. He promised to help Yi find the wife he wished for.
One day, Yi’s dad brought someone over and introduced to him… that this person would be his future-wife. Yi felt in love the moment he saw Diao. Diao was everything he described to his dad. They have been seeing each other / played together often. Diao’s Yi’s responsibility on every visit to Chen mansion. It was a tiring duty that Yi loved to do.
Diao’s dad owned an auto-part company. Engaging with Chen family is the best thing that could have happened financially. So the original engagement began. Yi was 14 and Diao was 7.
Yi’s dad LOVED Diao so much. Diao is a sweet child that he wished that he had. Dad loved and proud of Yi but Yi was the non-sweet kind. Diao made dad smile with his positive angelic attitude. Dad fully felt Diao’s sincerity even as a small child.
Plus, ‘Kon Diao’ meant ‘one person’. It was a sign for him. He felt that Diao would only love Yi as Diao’s name pointed out… He always remembered his scare that Yi’s mom left and now loved someone else. He wanted Yi to not replete his relationship failure.
THE INCIDENT: Yi was 14 and Diao was 7. Meaning of Yi and his dad names were ‘tiger’ so their pets were tigers. Dad had one and Yi had one. Yi’s tiger wes younger than dad’s. Yi got his tiger as a very small baby.
During one of Diao’s visit to Chen mansion, Diao got bored and wondered in to the yard while Yi was in the kitchen fixing snacks for Diao.
Yi’s tiger got out of his confinement and wondered into the yard at the same time with Diao. Diao didn’t understand tiger… he thought it was a cat and reaching out his hand to pet it. The tiger was gonna play with Diao also. Diao’s dad walked in and got panic when he saw the tiger + Diao. He screamed in panic and frighten the tiger… the tiger jumped on Diao.
At that nano second, Yi pulled out his gun and blown out his tiger’s head. Tiger’s blood splashed and cover Diao face.
Diao woke up in the hospital with some short-term memory lost. He didn’t remember Yi or Yi’s dad + his dream of tiger attack started. Diao’s dad put the blame on the Chens…The Chens didn’t argue and accepted all the responsibility. Chens paid a lot of money to Diao’s family in a lump-sum + monthly from that point on.
Diao’s dad didn’t want Chens to come in contact with Diao… doctors talked of the possibility that Diao’s horrifying memory could come back. Chens agreed to stay apart & away.
Yi’s dad didn’t mind taking care of Diao at all since the love was large… yet he dispirited Diao’s family… he felt strongly during the incident that Wongteerawats were poison to Diao… and wanted to separated Diao out of Wongteerawat family.
Yi’s dad put the plan in motion… he would accept all the monetary responsibility but Diao had to go to the boarding school in England (It is a prestige choice). Wongteerawat accepted the proposal and 7 years old Diao was sent away and didn’t come home until he was 18.
THE ENGAGEMENT: Yi was 25 and Diao was 18. The Chens never gave up on Diao. They loved Diao from afar. Chens made another deal with Wongteerawats when Diao turned 18 and graduated from high school. Chens wanted the formal engagement and they’re up their ante.
Wongteerawats agreed and bring Diao back home after the graduation. Diao came back to Thailand and walked into a gigantic engagement ceremony, his!!!
Diao was a good kid so he did what he was told. By that indication, Chens felt so lucky and knew that Diao was the ONE. Diao was tiny, smart, cute, soft-spoken, kindhearted, obedient and loyal to the family. Diao fit the bill to the teeth. Also, Yi still wished for Diao but felt that the connection was lost and he didn’t know how to rejoin it and be in Diao’s life without a possibility of bringing back Diao’s horrifying memory.
Diao felt very much lost… He had engaged to a stranger (with a mean face)… Yi stayed away from him so he had no way to know Yi’s real intension. Since the engagement, Diao was left alone mostly at Yi’s very large apt/home above Chen’s most expensive dealer. With Diao’s personality, he was making the best out of the situation… he was fulfilling his duty and trying to love Yi.
THE FIRST TIME: Yi was 27 and Diao was 20. Diao usually alone in the big apt. Yi brought a condo across the street with the view of the apt. He kept looking at Diao from his condo. Only Lian knew of Yi’s condo. Yi had been living there, even-though he hated the condo sharing area structure. He wanted Diao to have the large and private apt… he wanted Diao to have the best and be happy.
Yi still didn’t know how to start…
One night, his dad got Yi drunk and took Yi back to Diao’s apt… Dad didn’t know that Yi didn’t live there. After dad left, Diao seduced Yi… Diao attracted to Yi and felt that he should make that effort… maybe that could change the course of current.
They had their first night… Yi would give Diao his world by then… he remembered everything and planned to stay in bed and talk to Diao in the morning BUT THEN his dad sent someone to called him away.
He went to work after his dad’s meeting… he brought a Chihuahua dog from a state representative / client that day… he happened to see the dog and thought of Diao…
When he came back to the apt, Kuea & Diao was in a phone conversation… Kuea & Diao mis-understood that Yi ate weird stuff like dog. When Yi walked in with a Chihuahua in in his hand, Diao started to protest, Yi got mad and everything turned commotion… and Yi lost the courage to have that important conversation.
Yi still didn’t know how to start and he stayed away again… Boooo!
THE ACCIDENT: Yi was 32 and Diao was 25. Diao had tried to be very patient with his fiancé’s cold shoulder attitude for the past 7 years… his courage ran dry when Kuea & Diao spyed on Yi and found that Yi were dating 2 girls. Dioa was heartbroken.
Diao never confront Yi about that… he just simply gave up on Yi. Diao could deal with anything but that. He planned to run away to Switzerland to pursue his dream of education. He thought that Chens couldn’t possibly locate him there. Kuea felt horrible for his best friend and he sponsored all Diao’s expense… the flight, housing, tuition, expenses, etc. Kuea is financially lucrative now since his music carrier took off.
Diao packed light. He wanted to give an impression that he didn’t go anywhere. He was at the airport heading to the gate and his phone rang… Kuea was on the phone handing him the bad news… Yi had an accident…
TRASINENT GLOBAL AMNESIA (TGA): Diao was sent to the hospital by the airport staff. Diao was in shock and shaking.
Yi had a car accident. The Ferrari Yi was driving flipped over.
Yi knew right away that Diao was missing because he kept an eye on Diao. He was in a panic mode, went to Kuea kicking & screaming, forced info out of Kuea and headed to Diao at the airport… but then…
Yi’s dad, Diao, Kuea, Lian and some of Chen’s workers were waiting at the hospital. After a while, they were told that Yi’s condition was stable. Dad ordered to move Yi to another private hospital… he felt he had to put security details on Yi until everything was clear… he right away suspected tampering with the Ferrari.
While moving Yi, dad had a talk with Diao. He was more terrified to learn that Diao was running away than Yi’s accident… he stated in that conversation that if something happened to Yi, he would pass his entire inheritance to Diao, married or not. He loved and trusted Diao very much, yet he would not interfere with Diao’s and Yi’s relationship.
Yi woke up a day later… he didn’t remember anyone but Kon Diao… However, it was Kon Diao at 7 years old… and Yi thought he was 14.
This was Yi version before the tiger incident… He loved Diao and pretty much verbal about it. He thought that he should have married Diao when Diao was 18. He was a bit mad and confused why that didn’t happen. He only wanted Diao around… He held on to Diao’s hand. Yi was having a fit when he woke up again and didn’t see Diao… He was leaving to find Diao… They had lock him down and put him to sleep.
4 days from the accident, Yi woke up as himself. He didn’t remember the day that he first woke up from that accident.
Yi thought Diao left to Switzerland since he didn’t make it to the airport in time. He was pulling the lines out of his vein and wanted to leave right away to look for Diao. As soon as he learned that Diao was still there, he put the hospital cloth back on, asked for the nurse to come in and put everything back and pretended that he was still asleep.
Lian got a chance to see in Yi in private. Yi finally shared with him about the tiger incident & reason that he stayed away from Diao. Lian felt that Yi should have shared this info long ago so he could have helped solving the problem.
Lian advised Yi to be true to his feeling for Diao and do the hard-sell himself. He told Yi that love is no right nor wrong and no ego. If he has to be embarrassed and get to keep the wife, that’s a win. Yi thought about that and decided to do Lian strategy… BUT he’s still nervous to flirt with Diao… So Lian told him to pretend that he still had TGA amnesia… With that, hoped Yi built up the courage to court Diao.
Yi pretended that he still suffered from memory lost + broken right arm… He hoped to build enough courage to flirt with Diao. He listened to Lian who suggested that. Lian also made a good point that Diao memory lost might likely not come back since it had been so long ago and Diao already spent a considered amount of time with Yi & dad and it hasn’t triggered that. Yi should make his move before losing Diao for good.
Took a while for Diao to get Yi’s flirting messages… Diao liked this new & talkative Yi way more than the old one.
Diao eventually learned that Yi didn’t have an affair, but those were his sisters. He didn’t talk about them nor brought them around because of his dad. Diao felt very bad about the mis-understanding which almost caused the breakup… Yi had a physical fight with Lian because Lian told Kuea when he was drunk about Yi’s girls… Lian also didn’t know that those were his sister. Yi was a hothead and wanted to kick Lian’s butt. Diao ended up stopping the fight… he threw Lian over the shoulder flat on his back and put his feet up on Yi’s chest… That’s surprised everyone.
They then got deeper into learning about each other… Another reason why Yi didn’t stay home with Diao in the last 7 years were because he was a sleepless (on top of Wongteerawat’s request)… he has bad dream from the tiger incident that he almost killed Diao… the gun… his dead tiger pet… He didn’t want Diao to know… That’s also the reason which he stayed away. When they now have lived together, he realized that Diao also often had bad dream from the incident. Yi was deeply upset.
That night, they got to talk… Yi came clean about everything. He told Diao about the incident and the reason he had to keep distance from Diao… Diao’s father & family had to be included… Wongteerawat family have been receiving money from Chen family… a lot of money in lump-sum at the time of the incident and monthly (milloions) after… and the compensation was increase after their engagement. Chens paid for Daio’s hand in marriage.
Diao cried… badly… he never knew that Wongteerawats were living off of Chen family. He felt horrible that he was a big burden to Yi… He never knew how much he was loved by Yi… how much he was loved by Yi’s dad. Yi kept telling him that it wasn’t a that big of a deal… Chen has a lot of money and he meant that… It was just the manner of paying it out that annoyed him… Chen family would pay any price to have Diao where he was… Chens wanted to take Diao out of his poison family situation… That’s why England boarding school and this hefty price engagement so Diao doesn’t have to live with him family. Beside Diao’s dad, no one cared for him, yet he couldn’t protect Diao.
Yi started to be physically addicted to Diao’s present. He learned to love when Diao took care of him… his flirts came more natural… and he loved how Diao reacted to it so that gave him audacity to do more. He got way worse come to be possessive of Diao. Kuea is on his #1 envy list… their Chihuahua also on that list sometime.
Yi took Diao with him on his first day back to work. They went to pick up a particularly expensive car from the custom and deliver it… at the delivery, Diao happened to know the customer and his young son who was so ecstatic to see Diao. Diao was his favorite teach. They thought Diao went to Switzerland. This customer liked Diao… He thought Diao worked for the dealer… he offered a condo in an expensive neighborhood to Diao in the past because Diao mentioned to his co-worker that he was looking for an apartment (as a backup plan when he broke up with Yi) and he repleted his offer in front of Yi… Yi turned deep green, formally introduced Diao as his fiancé, mentioned the wedding and dragged Diao away.
Diao was a 2nd Degree Black Belt… Yi’s dad knew it but Yi didn’t. Diao took a part time assistance job teaching youngsters Taekwondo. He rode a bicycle to Chen’s security guard company training course and then his teaching job regularly. Diao didn’t hind any of these but Yi never came home so Diao never talked about it. Yi was so aggravated that Diao chose to use a bicycle to commute, instead of 20 supercar options in his garage… people might gossip and his dad might kill him, Yi though. Yi was extremely frustrated by those hidden facts… he felt left out… that must have been like when Lian learned about Kuea’s secrets.
Yi felt like Kuea was a mother hen guarding Diao. Kuea rode Diao everywhere when they were in college. His dad mentioned in frustration / kidding after that accident that he should have given Diao hand to Kuea since Kuea was a better person to take care and love Diao. That stabbed Yi in the heart, kidding or not… Yi and Lian always aggravated by Kuea & Diao relationship… even though they were aware that Kuea & Diao were just best friends. Yi and Lian deep down hate that Kuea & Diao prioritized each other before them. Friend’s before husband.
Diao wanted to break up with Yi as soon as he learned about the agreement with Wongteerawat. Yi refused… it is a lot of money but it is not that much of money for him, plus he couldn’t possibly live without Diao now.
Yi and Diao didn’t have bad dream now that they sleep together. They cure each other mentally. Yi could never be away from Diao for long.
Diao proposed a fake break up… Chens were considering that. Yi wanted to own Wongteerawat’s company, not just because of the business reason, but he wanted Diao to stop being in the middle, being Wongteerawat’s tool and feeling guilty of the arrangement.
Yi’s dad was a very smart man + had a history of divorce… so he added in the agreement with Wongteerawat that if Tacha ran away / break up with Yi, it would be considered as a bleach of contract.
Diao planned his run away at the wedding. The clue was only that the cat & mouse game would start before the evening party, after the celemony. Yi had to double back that with his own plan. Yi’s dad told Tacha to run away for 30 mins and everything should be concluded by then… they hand shake on that agreement. Chens would be the embarrassed victim party and Wongteerawat would have to take responsibility for that.
Yi & Lian were talking… Yi hated playing victim. He hated being the under hand. If Diao got away, Diao would disappear for a while. Yi had to catch Diao before then. Yi swore that he wouldn’t be away from Diao. Lian was teasing Yi… Yi reminded Lian of the fact that Kuea would go away with Diao if that came about. Lian lost his smile and fully co-operated.
Phayak was so happy that there was now Tacha Chen…
The cat & mouse game took place. Diao didn’t leave the hotel. Yi had a lot of helps + cheated a little. Yi put camera on their dog collar… the dog was very smart. Yi & Diao trained her to press the house alarm if there was an intruder and such… Yi also paid hefty to turn all Diao’s friends & team members. Money was never a problem for Chen family. Kuea was the only one that Yi couldn’t buy with money… Kuea helped Yi because he pondered of Diao’s happiness.
Diao fist-fought with Yi before he brought Diao in. Diao was trying his best to cross the 30 mins threshold. When Diao & Yi walked in to the meeting with Yi’ dad & Diao’s dad, the new agreement had been made.
It came into light that Diao’s step-brother had his hand in Yi’s accident. He dated Chen’s competitor family and wanted Chen family to not be able to handle the world class formula racing that was coming up. They were creating trouble for Chen business. Diao’s brother wanted Diao dead. The competitor wanted to ruin the race… if there was a funeral, Chen family wouldn’t be able to manage the race.
The real target was Tacha. His step-brother was jealous of Tacha. He thought Tacha/Diao was taking over the business which he was hoping to be passed to him. He wasn’t aware that Wongteerawat business was at the verge of bankruptcy.
The Ferrari in accident was gifted to Diao after the engagement. Diao hardly used it… the car was too big & powerful for Diao. Diao and Chens forgot all about it because Diao was allowed to use any cars. (Yi had around 20 supercars in his personal garage) Diao preferred his bicycle, which pissed Yi off… Only Wongteerawat family knew about the gifted Ferrari.
The Ferrari was investigated by Yi’s dad hiring team. They confirmed that it was tampered and cause the flip over accident. Yi took the Ferrari out by chance because he was running after Dioa to the airport and was in a hurry. The Chens looked at each other and knew that the real target was Diao. Yi’s dad was furious and that’s scary… Diao was the apple of his eye… so he is out to make Wongteerawats pay. Yi was glad that he was the one in the accident, not Diao.
When Chens laid everything on the table, Diao’s dad cried and handed all his business + the land that Chen family was leasing for the formula racetrack over to Chen family. He was sad that he almost hurt Diao and he wanted to end this madness.
Chens agreed to give Wongteerawats salary just enough for the rest of their life, nothing robustly like before. Chen family will run Wongteerawat business. Yi analyzed that the company has good bone so he was confident that it could do well shortly under his re-organization. (Diao graduated with 1st honor business degree… he could help.) Diao’s brother would be shipped off far away to finish school and not allowed to be in close proximity of Diao ever again.
After the wedding, the focus was at the formula world racing. It is the first major event of the Chen family, the country and Southeast Asia. Yi spent almost a month away from home to prepare for the event. Diao was trying to be strong and filled the time away from Yi by adopting and house-breaking 2 baby tigers. Diao wanted Yi to make amend with their past tiger incident.
The race event was a huge success! Everyone was complementing the Chens, especially Yi. That has put Chen family up a scale… Yi was happy to be home to Diao. He was sleepless again when he was away… Yi woke up to their pet dog babysitting 2 tigers that he has never seen before. He was in full panic and lifted the dog up. Yi loved the dog very much by this this point. After the initial shock, he started playing with the tigers… it was a long progress but he is on the path to healing.
Everything was much more in place currently… Diao was a 1st Degree Black Belt now and took a gym teaching position at an all-girl high school. Yi agreed to it because that was the least guy contact option.
Yi was still tremendously possessive of Diao. He got mad that Diao was fully covered in heart stickers and received lot of flowers on Valentine’s Day. Diao put his foot down, they had a fight and Diao ran off to Yi’s dad mansion. Yi’s dad was amused and told his security guards not to let Yi in no matter what.
Yi went to work… counting down the time that he would finish up so he would go apologize and take Diao home. They made a promise not to let it go over night when they had a fight.
Yi baffled that he wasn’t allowed to come in his dad’s mansion. It’s his dad test… he knew it. He tricked the young/new security guard to bring him in as an intruder. They ran in to his dad’s tiger pet. Yi ordered the tiger to watch the guard while he was climbing up to the balcony. The tiger out his paw on the guard lap… the guard frozen to the spot. Yi was about to get to Diao’s door… Diao came out, kicked and twisted Yi to the floor, broke his eyebrow. Diao thought Yi was an intruder. Yi were happy that Diao forgave him as soon as Dioa saw blood coming down his face, but felt emasculated that he was manhandled by Diao AGAIN!
Diao’s 2-night school trip with his co-workers came up. Yi was unhappy but agreed to it… Diao should be able to do what he liked. Yi contemplated but gave up… he followed Diao to the resort camp disguised in the nearby suit in the same report. His disguised was so poor so Diao spotted him… Yi took the dog with him so it is not that hard to be noticed.
Yi was nervous like a child getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Diao wasn’t mad but he coldly laid out the line to Yi… Daio sneaked out to sleep with Yi at night… he was also very much attached to Yi. He didn’t have nightmare when they were together.
Their relationship was going along that trend… they were very happy. They couldn't live without one another. Yi was very much attached to his wife. He alway reached out for Diao before any big decision making. They were moving to the Chen's mansion... The tigers were getting bigger and dad wanted to move to a new condo with his partner... Dad was keeping it private.
They were planning a double-honeymoon with Kuea & Lian… Yi was skeptical about the ‘double’ part. He still felt the same way toward Kuea Kirati… Jealous
Diao & Yi are engaged too, just like Keua & Lian. But unlike Keua & Lian's engagement, Diao & Yi's is more business-related…
Diao & Yi engagement is business like... because of Diao's family... BUT Yi actual loved Diao. That's an over decade long feeling. There are reasons why he couldn't be too close to Diao. I read the book and put out the summary if you are interested.

The series were made from 2 Thai novels… Cutie Pie: Story of Kuea & Lian Naughty Babe - Story of Kon Diao & Yi
I’m going to share with you a summary of each book. As I watched 2 ep so far, the series are mostly 80% followed the novels. The background is a bit complicated so I will start by breaking that down.
CUTIE PIE:
Kuea Kirati: Coming from old money family with his great-great-grandfather had title similar to a Lord or Knife… so his mother was a Lady and owned several great pieces of land in Bangkok. His dad was a Thai high-ranging ambassador in Europe… They commonly traded ambassadors around every few years. During this storyline, his dad is in Vienna, Austria.
He was using his mother’s last name Kirati because that’s how the inheriting-line can be passed on his mom’s side of the family.
His family was among high-profile society. He had the good name, titled mother, well-mannered, money, look and great reputation last name among the old money.
Kuea’s grandfather engaged Lian to Lady Kavarin’s child since before she was married because he wanted to be connected with the Wongs… he genuinely loved the Wongs since when they didn’t have money. When Kuea was born as a boy, his grandfather wanted to keep the engagement regardless. He loved and trusted Lian and his family… they made ‘heart’ promise. His gut told him that Lian was the one for Kuea.
We will learn throughout the story that Kuea was extremely popular. Many hi-society families were ready to pursue his hand if the engagement to Wang family ended. Anyone would want to be related to Kirati family. He was popular in school and company where he did his internship. Also, he was in a very high demand as Kirin.
Lian / Kilain Wong: Coming from poor Chinese immigrant family. His father worked for Kuea’s grandfather’s silk fabric company. He was trusted, loved and advanced to be the general manager. Mr. Wong, 40, married his mom who was much younger and her family owned a small ice factory. His father quit the GM job to work with his wife after the marriage. His family started doing welled after Lian was born.
Even after leaving the silk company GM job, their families were in touch. They saw each other weekly and treated it like a church day… Wang family dressed up in their Sunday-best for their weekly visit at the Kirati mansion. They love each other. Their moms were very close. After Kuea was born, Kuea’s grandfather decided to keep the engagement and the Wongs agreed. They all were ecstatic to have their 2 families combined… They only loved and trusted one another… it was the ‘heart’-promise, they felt.
Lian’s family has borrowed millions of dollars from Kuea’s grandfather during their beverage business expansion was underfunded. Lian’s family always felt in debt to the Kiratis and will always do anything for them.
Wong family was doing very well now financially. They own a leading alcohol & beverages company and Pentagon pub. Lian was about to buy in to the Gemini bar where Kirin loved to play. Gemini was described to be a small rooftop bar and not profitable when Lian brought in… he only did that so Kuea had a space to be Kirin.
Lian & Kuea loved each other as long as they know it… They were 7 years apart. Kuea moved to attend a boarding school in England… I’m guessing from Naughty Babe book that when he was around 7-8 years old… that’s when & where he met his best friend, Kon Diao.
Kuea moved back to Thailand when he’s 18… After high school… same time with Diao… for a different reason. He missed Lian so he is giving up his music (drumming) prodigy opportunity in Europe. ________________________________
Kuea & Lian loved each other but they “mis-communicate” a lot.
Kuea was trying his best to be angelic like all his life… his old money + ambassador family position put him in an absolutely neat, well-mannered and soft-spoken image… Lian thought that’s how Kuea is… Kuea thought that’s how he should be to be suitable to Lian, who was a perfectionist in Kuea’s eye. He thought that’s what Lian wanted… Kuea deeply loved Lian and lived his life with one final destination… to marry Lian/Kilian Wong.
Lian was doing something in the same manner. He thought Kuea was so neat & flawless and he had to try his best to be immaculate in all aspect to be perfectly matched up to Kuea. He truly loved Kuea since he was 7 and Kuea was a baby. Lian thought Kuea was that cutest no matter what Kuea did. He lived his life planning to fit himself with sweet/innocence Kuea… Lian worked so hard to have money so Kuea can be hi-society housewife like his mother… he thought that what Kuea wanted. His fear was to embarrass Kuea… Chinese immigrant was viewed as rough + Kuea’s family was his dad’s boss… marrying the boss’ kid deemed to be viewed as an ‘over-reach’ regardless. He had to try extremely hard to be ‘good enough’ in the view of the society.
While keeping up with the charade. Kuea built up wall to cover his secret loves of Auto Engineer (dirty job), superbike (inappropriate), and drumming (and inappropriate). He had a secret house to hind those. His mom & dad were in Austria…his grandpa passed away… so he was alone in the mansion. The mansion that he was hardly there. He spent most of his time in his safe house.
Apparently, Lian and Kuea are more alike than they thought...
Lian loved supercar while Kuea loved superbike. They like dark, raw concert walls & naked closets for their houses... Kuea loved Lian's house. They both over-dressed for each other because they thought that what the other like. They loved the same music (Indy).. that's what got Lian to start looking for Kirin in the first place. Lian had good ear when it came to music. He was following Channel Kirin, a Youtube channel that had close to 1M followers.
Lian was there when Kuea played at the Gemini bar for the first time. Lian was frequent there for 5 years before Kuea moved back to Thailand. He was there for the music... He had to make a stiff face when Jay excitedly told him about Kirin, his new hiring… if he said he was interested in hiring Kirin also, Jay would not be opened to him about Kirin’s info.
So he was so mad to see Kuea under disguised as Kirin... Lian recognized Kuea of course. He nearly broke the glass in his hand… He just dropped off sweet Kuea Kirati at the mansion, called to say good night, went back home to change and now Lian was watching cheerful Kuea on the stage drumming it away. Before this Lian thought he gave Keua room to be teenager. He thought Kuea was a sweet / one-dimension person as shown to him. He never double-checked.
After that, Lian started a serious investigation on Kuea. When there was a secret about Kirin, Lian could only guess that there were more. Lian then knew about the superbike and that Kuea has a secret house because Kuea was hardly at the mansion... His PIs couldn't get the location of the safe house because Keua usually went there on the superbike and he managed to loose the tail without knowing that he was being followed.
Lian felt betrayed when he saw Kirin, he felt mistrust.... although he was also pretending… hypocrite LoL! … he never told Kuea about his super-cars, racing that he loved to do for fun and love for Indy music. Lian kept that for over a year while he grew slightly cold, uncomfortable and apart from Kuea.
Kuea got drunk for the 2nd night in a roll after his first attempt to break off the engagement and ended up revealing the safe house. That night, they kissed and Lian learned that Kuea really loved him... and that gave him the confidence to change his strategy in pursuing Kuea aggressively... His original thought was to wait until Kuea was a bit older. Kuea was so drunk and he thought he has kissed a stranger that looked very much like Lian… He didn’t want to believe that Lian could be in screen t-shirt and cut-off jeans.
Lian started to understand Kuea better after that night… he as well got very nervous that Kuea would break off the engagement… Breaking up was the last thing he wanted… His parents would kill him and he loved Kuea and wanted the marriage himself… He didn’t have a back-up plan. Lian was now learning to love Kuea as an adult, even-though it was more like a puppy-love before… they both were processing that.
So far Kuea was truly crazy about Lian without saying... He named everything (Dragon), which is the meaning of Lian's name... I think that's very cute.
Lian = Dragon in Chinese Kilian = Dragon in Thai Cheian (Kuea's BMW Bike) = Dragon... forgot the language that this came from. Kirin = Dragon in Japanese
Kuea = “Support” in Thai
Lian brought Toothless and Light Fury dolls for Keua as a gift (toothless for Valentine and Light Fury for Birthday) and then he saw them again in one of Kirin's Youtube videos. Kirin put the dolls behind his drum set... Lian got excited and saw this as a game he wanted to win...he wanted to win over Keua that he wanted Kuea to be himself... he seriously wanted them to be real to each other and was planning to force Keua out from the fake shell.
PS: Kuea didn't like animation. He fell asleep every-time watching it. He told Lian that he went to see How to Train Your Dragon (His friend dragged him to see) and Lian thought Kuea like cartoon. They both have to learn to communicate. LoL!
After the night of their first kiss, Lian decided to show his real self to Kuea…with the hope that Kuea would show off his true self as well. He didn’t want to just tell Kuea that he knew… He wanted Kuea to break down that wall himself… He felt Kuea didn’t have to pretend and Kuea had to know that on his own. He already accepted Kuea in any shapes nor forms, he was just mad that he was lied to. He would let Kuea pursue his dream if that’s what Kuea wanted.
Lian made the move by arranging for Kuea to come live with him… Kuea’s mom agreed while his dad didn’t aware… and Lian now show his talkative personality… playboy like, flirty… shameless when talking to Kuea… that’s how he actually was… He was doing his best to sell himself… that’s how he put it.
Needless to say, it worked! They are mellowing along that path of getting to understand each other and letting out secrets. Lian decided to invite Kuea to his friend get together/drinking party at his Pentagon pub. Lian didn’t want to do so prior because he was afraid that Kuea would know that he wasn’t a quiet guy… things that his friends would tell Kuea… he decided that it is time for Kuea to know + he didn’t want to tarnish Kuea family good reputation by bending that rule + Kuea was now 20 and can legally be in a pub & drink. 20 is the legal age for that in Thailand.
Yi lured Kuea into playing the spinning bottle game. Yi cheated, of course! Kuea, who already loved drinking, got really drunk and kissed Lian in the open in front of all his friends… Lian thought that was funny. Lian took Kuea home and they slept together. Kuea was drunk and too physically flirty… Lian lost control because he already had a foundation to see everything Kuea did was so cute.
After that night, Lian was addicted to be around Kuea. He moved up the plan to take his parents to talk about dowry and wedding plan with Kuea’s parents in Vienna that summer, instead of after Kuea’s graduation which was 2 years from then.
While they lived together, Kuea learned that his family financial aspect was somewhat in serious trouble. His grandfather and his mom have transferred/sold everything to be in Lian’s name. Lian now own, managed and keeping Kirati’s business & property ownership afloat.
It was more financially sensible if Lian didn’t marry him… Kuea was panic because Kirati’s financial was holding back Wong’s… Lian said he would marry Kuea no matter what because that’s the promise and also what he wanted … Kuea shared that info with his best friend, Diao. Diao consoled him. They then looked around to see that Kuea had financially. They were in shock to see the online bank statement of Kuea’s music income. There were around £800,000 (around $1,066,000) sitting there untouched.
Kirin made that money as a hobby in roughly 5 years. Kirin works included drumming cover for big screen movies, sport events, fashion show, Channel Kirin videos, etc. He played, recorded and sent them in… he only picked the jobs that he felt like… he never checked the income. He just liked doing it.
Now… Kuea has to break it to Lian because he doesn’t know how to manage that much of money and he thought the money could help Kirati’s financial. Kuea was emotionally racked crying at his safe house… he was afraid to come forward… Lian came home to an empty house and got annoyed… he was very much addicted to Kuea by this point… his heart was not with work and he was looking forward to see Kuea all day. He called Kuea and felt right away that Kuer was not ok. He started to guess that Kuea would be at his secret house and wouldn’t want Kuea to be on the bike while he is emotionally unstable. He begged for Kuea to share his location… when Kuea did that, Lian knew that he was about to reveal the true.
Lian had a hard time getting to the safe house during rush hours. He jumped out of his luxury car, hopped on the train, switched the train, walked and got soaking wet by arrival. He was very annoyed by the rough journey… but then when he saw Kuea, he suddenly felt fine… He knew then that Kuea was his home.
Kuea told him everything. He was perplexed by the amount of money Kirin made as a hobby during that brief period of time. Kuea offered to hand him all the money. Lian said he didn’t need it. Kuea insisted… so they agreed for Kuea to keep that as their safety nest if they ever needed it. Lian knew he didn’t need it.
Shortly after, Lian arranged for his team to share all his financial info, including Kirati’s properties. He’s a billionaire… they spent hours with his team and accounting department going through the list + how they should manage Kirati properties. Lian was planning his will for everything to go to Kuea if something happened to him before they were married. His parents would have given Kuea everything anyway. They thought of Kuea as their own, married or not.
That night, Lian gifted Kuea a superbike, Ducati Panigale v4. Because Lian didn’t want to tell Yi, his best friend, who the bike was for, Yi, who owned the major dealers, set up the full set delivery of the bike with the whole team of sale staffs, lights and paper shoots as a prank… Lian only asked for the bow on the bike. Lian was so embarrass with the big commotion. It was a laugh for Kuea. Kuea named the Ducati, Kirin… like his Youtube channel. (His first bike was Chelin)
During that Summer break, Kuea, Lian, Mr and Mrs Wong were on the flight to see Kuea’s parent. Keua was about to be 3rd in college. Lian was extremely nervous like he never had before throughout his life… For Thais, proposal is done by parents or grandparents or elders. They all have to agree or the wedding can’t take place. Lian wanted the proposal to success so badly.
When they arrived, they never got a chance to officially get to the proposal until the last day of the trip. Lady Kirati loved Lian and gave him the greenlight for Kuea & Lian to live together before the marriage BUT the ambassador (Kuea’s dad) was unhappy with Lian. It is not that he hated Lian… it is more like ‘no one was good enough for my child’… so he coldly reprimanded Lian. Lian was a confident man who had never afraid of anyone… he felt so small in front of the ambassador… he was badly seeking his approval and the only way was to be at his mercy.
Lian was not allowed to be with Kuea for the whole time that they were in Austria. Slept separately… not even hand holding … Kuea’s dad didn’t have to say it in those exact words but Lian got the message… it was the true well-mannered / old family highroad way. Lian was at the ambassador’s mercy. He was very obsessed with Kuea by that point and he was having such a hard time sleeping alone. The ambassador ordered Lian to go back to Thailand with his parents in a week and Kuea would stay 2 weeks longer here with them. He wasn’t asking. He coldly said it and that’s how it was going be.
At the proposal, Wongs wanted to move up the wedding and prepared millions in money, properties, and their businesses as dowry and they were ready to render anything and everything as needed, including the shirt on their back, for the wedding to take place… and they were sincere about that. Kuea’s parents responded by not wanting anything at all. They said they had plenty with properties on the ambassador’s side of the family. They just wanted Kuea to be well care for. That was the ultimate way of the old fashion / old money behaved on both ends. They both got into the a very long polite and heart wrenching conversation of pushing the dowry back and forth… very rare indeed.
In Thai tradition, if the dowry is too small for the bride profile, it is deemed to be inappropriate in the public eye… because the dowry is to replace the value of the bride… the bride belongs to her parents as a property… the groom takes the bride away so he has to replace the value of the bride. The higher the profile of the bride, the higher of her value so the dowry has to be appropriate to her value.
The Wongs got panic when the dowry was rejected… they truly wanted the Kirati to have what’s appropriate. At the end, they all could only agree that they would talk about this matter again in 3 years when Kuea has graduated. Lian didn’t object but somewhat disappointed.
The Wongs were leaving Austria. Lian & Kuea were holding hands & pressing their foreheads together at the airport. They both were having the hardest time saying good bye. Lian turned around and followed his parents to the gate. Kuea ran after him to give him a kiss. Lady Kirati reprimanded him for bad behavior and the ambassador was looking at Lian with disapproval. Lian’s heart was filled for first time in the entire week…
Now Keua got an internship at the Formula race track of Chen family. Kuea was the only intern ever. It was a favor of Yi and no one badly thought about it negatively. One is because Kuea was very much down to earth and could do everything that was asked. Another was because Keua just wanted some experience as he had so much interest in auto engineering… They all knew that he would just have him for that intern period.
One of his dream was to work for the world Formula One racetrack in Europe so he was testing the water by this internship experience. He had to be in the Northeast province of Thailand for 2.5 months. Lian unhappily agreed… He wanted Kuea to live a full life that he wished to have. He asked only that Kuea came home every weekend. Lian was sleepless when Kuea wasn’t there. Lian learned to ride the superbike when Keau did the internship. He rode the superbike to pick Kuea up after the flight every week.
The novel described a bit of Kuea’s simple and down to earth character in the country… very cute… no one knew who he was. He was dirty and had the time of his life at work. Kuea also had a hard time when he was back to the hotel/apt.
One week toward the end of his internship, Kuea didn’t come home because the company has a party. Lian made a surprise visit. Lian got to see Kuea funny dance. He was having a moment to know Kuea as Mechanic Kuer, who was sooooo popular among ladies at the company seeing from the massive number of flowers after the dance show.
FYI: Tomorrowland is a Belgian electronic dance music festival held in Boom, Flanders, Belgium since 2005. In 2022, the festival has 17 stages and lasts 3 weeks. 400,000 of people attended.
The story cut to when the Kirin is about to perform at the Tomorrowland concert, in Belgium. Kirin has signed his first major contract and agreed to reveal his face / identity at the festival. Kirin NEVER review his face / identity… (The series had his face revealed in the episode 2…I’m sure why.) His fans followed him there when they were told of the plan. His secret identity behind the facemask was one of his major selling points. People love that about Kirin.
Lian got away from his busy work to give Kirin emotional support. Kirin was so nervous… it was a major step in his music carrier, which he chose to do. He went out to drum and he did so well… Lian had that moment… his heart was beating so loud… he felt in love with Kirin.
Kuea & Lian spent few days together at festival… they were having such a great time. They felt free that no one there knew them. (Kirin didn’t unveil his face.) They could kiss in the open. They didn’t have to keep the bodyguard nor secretary.
At the end of the Tomorrowland Festival, Kuea had to go to the US for 2 weeks to meet up with the team at music company he signed with, while Lian headed home and back to his busy schedule. They both had a very rough time being without one another. Kuea couldn’t drum… it was ok… they already planned for him to work from Thailand, record and send the work in.
As soon as Kuea came back, thy discuss building a new house on the land that used to be Wong’s original ice factory. Kuea needed more work space for his music room and recording studio. Kuea wanted to buy that project himself to be their home. Lian was touch and agreed.
Somewhere in the middle of the book, it talked briefly about his jealousy of Kuea and Diao. He knew that nothing was going on but he felt of their closeness. He understood that Kuea would always leave an empty seat for Diao. He was annoyed that Yi wasn’t there in his place so Kuea had to be that close to Diao so he sometime put a prank on Yi… it was fun for him.
Toward the end they understand each other better while situated into their comfort zone. Kuea loved Lian more as his everything, friend, brother, boyfriend, lover, husband, life partner and sometime father who protect and care for him.
Lian loved several versions of Kuea… - Kuea Kirati: a sweet well-manner, high and mighty in the eye of society and beloved of all the elders - Ai Kuea: the rude and funny among his friends in college - Mechanic Kuea: a guy who loved the auto dirty job and speed of his superbikes - Kirin: the prodigy who’s passionate about his music and so attractive while he was drumming Lian was always so happy of his decision to pursue Kuea when he did. He could imagine not having Kuea in his life… When they had the fight at the beginning of the book, Kuea was considering moving back to Europe which decision would receive full support from his dad.
I like this episode but... 1. I don't understand the 2nd couple. I Know we'll know later on but for now it's confusing.…
Daio & Yi had their own story in book 2, Naughty Babe.... I'm not sure if this series will get to them in details. I'm posting the book summary in a few.

Their fist kiss is coming up in Ep 2 I think. They kissed in his car after Kirin got drunk at the Gemini club. Kirin was so drunk and thought he has kissed a doppelgänger of Lian... He didn't believe that Lian he knew could dress in a screen t-shirt & jeans with holes. That was Kuea's first kiss... he was tad upset the next day because he was saving it for Lian.
Kuea didn't think that was Lian and with him being so drunk, he revealed the location of his safe house.
Lian got very exuberant to learned that info... he had Kirin followed and Kirin ALWAYS managed to loose the tail (without realizing that he was followed) because he was sooo fast on his superbike.
Yi is keeping Wongteerawat afloat.
Chens just wants Diao.
Diao knew Yi when he was a child before England, but it was an incident and Diao lost his memory of the Chens.
The engagement is what Yi wanted and his dad reluctantly agreed... Diao is apple of his eye.
Diao possibly cried because he doesn't want to displease Yi. He wants their relationship to improve but Yi was like a stranger to him. Yi after England is all Diao knows.

SUMMARY:
Kon Diao / Diao / Tacha Wongteerawit: Born to a rich family, his family had an auto-part import business. His mother passed away when he was young. He has a step-mom, step-brother & step-sister… he thought they were not blood-related but they were his half-brother and half-sister, in fact. His step-mother was his dad’s mistress.
Kon Diao had small feature, sweet face, big round eyes with long lashes, a super sweet personality, kindhearted, cared for others, patient, polite, with bright & positive attitude.
His family was on the edge of bankruptcy. His fiancé, Yi, was keeping it afloat. The family didn’t have a good business sense.
It was an incident and Diao was sent to the boarding school in England when he was 7 years old where he met Kuea Kirati, his best friend. They grew up together and loved each other very much (as friends). He was there without coming home for a visit until he moved back to Thailand when he was 18 to begin his formal engagement to Yi.
Yi / Phayak Chatdecha Chen: Born to the very rich Chinese family with internal blood bath in the previous generations. They were like mafia family… they There were history of sibling rival with one ending as a solo survival. From then on, the rule is to only have ONE child in the family so the line of inhabitancy is straightforward.
Currently, the family was doing less mafia like operation, but they still could. Main businesses were the auto import & sales, Formula race track and security service company. Very-well oiled. Yi also was a partner of Lian’s Pentagon pub.
Yi had very fair skin, quiet, aggressive personality and loved to wrinkle his forehead… he had a mean/scary look that drove people away. He was hard working and obedient to his dad who loved & cared for him very much.
Yi went to an international grade school where he met Lian / Kilian Wong, his best friends. They both were Chinese who moved to that school around the same time. Lian was very talkative while Yi was a bit quieter. They became close friends because Lian offered Yi free soda that he wasn’t allowed to have at his home… they sometime bragged about the tiniest adorable fiancés that each of them had.
Phayak Chen: is Yi’s dad. He was tough and had full mafia blood, loved his family. He followed the family rule of having only one child to continue the bloodline. He raised Yi with love but stick… he wanted to make sure that Yi could handle family leader position. He also wanted Yi generation on to have clean business. He believed that the mafia should go away with his retirement. He handed everything to Yi when Yi was around 30. He was currently enjoying his peaceful retirement.
When Yi was young, he worked a lot and had no time for his family. Yi’ mom left. She re-married and had another 2 girls, Ing-ing & Aun-Aun… They are Yi’s half-sisters. Yi’s dad was very upset about that and cut his ex off Yi’s life… He still saw his mom & sisters but rarely. Yi’s dad never recovered from that… he hated that Yi’s mom had another husband / family
When Yi was young, he was kidnapped by his maid for ransom. His dad trained him what to do in such situation and he followed every bit of it… don’t resist, do what the kidnapper says, don’t cry, etc. and dad would come find you. He did all that and his dad found him in 3 days.
He was sick with fever by then. Other than that, he was fine physically. Mentally, he learned to never easily trust anyone… especially, a mother figure.

THE MEET: Yi’s dad had asked Yi how he imagined his soul mate… during one of his dad’s lesson. Payak taught his son… your wife was someone that win over you on everything… not like you couldn’t beat / compete with this person BUT you wouldn’t want to do so… You would want to ALWAYS loose to this person… You would want and allow this person to win over you every time.
Yi thought about it long and hard… days later, he came back to tell his dad that he knew the answer of what kind of person he would want as his wife. Yi told his dad that he wished for someone that resembled a cute porcelain doll… so he would always want to protect this person and never could do him any harm. His dad stunned by the answer and thought his son had mature. He promised to help Yi find the wife he wished for.
One day, Yi’s dad brought someone over and introduced to him… that this person would be his future-wife. Yi felt in love the moment he saw Diao. Diao was everything he described to his dad. They have been seeing each other / played together often. Diao’s Yi’s responsibility on every visit to Chen mansion. It was a tiring duty that Yi loved to do.
Diao’s dad owned an auto-part company. Engaging with Chen family is the best thing that could have happened financially. So the original engagement began. Yi was 14 and Diao was 7.
Yi’s dad LOVED Diao so much. Diao is a sweet child that he wished that he had. Dad loved and proud of Yi but Yi was the non-sweet kind. Diao made dad smile with his positive angelic attitude. Dad fully felt Diao’s sincerity even as a small child.
Plus, ‘Kon Diao’ meant ‘one person’. It was a sign for him. He felt that Diao would only love Yi as Diao’s name pointed out… He always remembered his scare that Yi’s mom left and now loved someone else. He wanted Yi to not replete his relationship failure.
THE INCIDENT: Yi was 14 and Diao was 7.
Meaning of Yi and his dad names were ‘tiger’ so their pets were tigers. Dad had one and Yi had one. Yi’s tiger wes younger than dad’s. Yi got his tiger as a very small baby.
During one of Diao’s visit to Chen mansion, Diao got bored and wondered in to the yard while Yi was in the kitchen fixing snacks for Diao.
Yi’s tiger got out of his confinement and wondered into the yard at the same time with Diao. Diao didn’t understand tiger… he thought it was a cat and reaching out his hand to pet it. The tiger was gonna play with Diao also. Diao’s dad walked in and got panic when he saw the tiger + Diao. He screamed in panic and frighten the tiger… the tiger jumped on Diao.
At that nano second, Yi pulled out his gun and blown out his tiger’s head. Tiger’s blood splashed and cover Diao face.
Diao woke up in the hospital with some short-term memory lost. He didn’t remember Yi or Yi’s dad + his dream of tiger attack started. Diao’s dad put the blame on the Chens…The Chens didn’t argue and accepted all the responsibility. Chens paid a lot of money to Diao’s family in a lump-sum + monthly from that point on.
Diao’s dad didn’t want Chens to come in contact with Diao… doctors talked of the possibility that Diao’s horrifying memory could come back. Chens agreed to stay apart & away.
Yi’s dad didn’t mind taking care of Diao at all since the love was large… yet he dispirited Diao’s family… he felt strongly during the incident that Wongteerawats were poison to Diao… and wanted to separated Diao out of Wongteerawat family.
Yi’s dad put the plan in motion… he would accept all the monetary responsibility but Diao had to go to the boarding school in England (It is a prestige choice). Wongteerawat accepted the proposal and 7 years old Diao was sent away and didn’t come home until he was 18.
THE ENGAGEMENT: Yi was 25 and Diao was 18.
The Chens never gave up on Diao. They loved Diao from afar. Chens made another deal with Wongteerawats when Diao turned 18 and graduated from high school. Chens wanted the formal engagement and they’re up their ante.
Wongteerawats agreed and bring Diao back home after the graduation. Diao came back to Thailand and walked into a gigantic engagement ceremony, his!!!
Diao was a good kid so he did what he was told. By that indication, Chens felt so lucky and knew that Diao was the ONE. Diao was tiny, smart, cute, soft-spoken, kindhearted, obedient and loyal to the family. Diao fit the bill to the teeth. Also, Yi still wished for Diao but felt that the connection was lost and he didn’t know how to rejoin it and be in Diao’s life without a possibility of bringing back Diao’s horrifying memory.
Diao felt very much lost… He had engaged to a stranger (with a mean face)… Yi stayed away from him so he had no way to know Yi’s real intension.
Since the engagement, Diao was left alone mostly at Yi’s very large apt/home above Chen’s most expensive dealer. With Diao’s personality, he was making the best out of the situation… he was fulfilling his duty and trying to love Yi.
THE FIRST TIME: Yi was 27 and Diao was 20.
Diao usually alone in the big apt. Yi brought a condo across the street with the view of the apt. He kept looking at Diao from his condo. Only Lian knew of Yi’s condo. Yi had been living there, even-though he hated the condo sharing area structure. He wanted Diao to have the large and private apt… he wanted Diao to have the best and be happy.
Yi still didn’t know how to start…
One night, his dad got Yi drunk and took Yi back to Diao’s apt… Dad didn’t know that Yi didn’t live there. After dad left, Diao seduced Yi… Diao attracted to Yi and felt that he should make that effort… maybe that could change the course of current.
They had their first night… Yi would give Diao his world by then… he remembered everything and planned to stay in bed and talk to Diao in the morning BUT THEN his dad sent someone to called him away.
He went to work after his dad’s meeting… he brought a Chihuahua dog from a state representative / client that day… he happened to see the dog and thought of Diao…
When he came back to the apt, Kuea & Diao was in a phone conversation… Kuea & Diao mis-understood that Yi ate weird stuff like dog. When Yi walked in with a Chihuahua in in his hand, Diao started to protest, Yi got mad and everything turned commotion… and Yi lost the courage to have that important conversation.
Yi still didn’t know how to start and he stayed away again… Boooo!
THE ACCIDENT: Yi was 32 and Diao was 25.
Diao had tried to be very patient with his fiancé’s cold shoulder attitude for the past 7 years… his courage ran dry when Kuea & Diao spyed on Yi and found that Yi were dating 2 girls. Dioa was heartbroken.
Diao never confront Yi about that… he just simply gave up on Yi. Diao could deal with anything but that. He planned to run away to Switzerland to pursue his dream of education. He thought that Chens couldn’t possibly locate him there. Kuea felt horrible for his best friend and he sponsored all Diao’s expense… the flight, housing, tuition, expenses, etc. Kuea is financially lucrative now since his music carrier took off.
Diao packed light. He wanted to give an impression that he didn’t go anywhere. He was at the airport heading to the gate and his phone rang… Kuea was on the phone handing him the bad news… Yi had an accident…
TRASINENT GLOBAL AMNESIA (TGA):
Diao was sent to the hospital by the airport staff. Diao was in shock and shaking.
Yi had a car accident. The Ferrari Yi was driving flipped over.
Yi knew right away that Diao was missing because he kept an eye on Diao. He was in a panic mode, went to Kuea kicking & screaming, forced info out of Kuea and headed to Diao at the airport… but then…
Yi’s dad, Diao, Kuea, Lian and some of Chen’s workers were waiting at the hospital. After a while, they were told that Yi’s condition was stable. Dad ordered to move Yi to another private hospital… he felt he had to put security details on Yi until everything was clear… he right away suspected tampering with the Ferrari.
While moving Yi, dad had a talk with Diao. He was more terrified to learn that Diao was running away than Yi’s accident… he stated in that conversation that if something happened to Yi, he would pass his entire inheritance to Diao, married or not. He loved and trusted Diao very much, yet he would not interfere with Diao’s and Yi’s relationship.
Yi woke up a day later… he didn’t remember anyone but Kon Diao… However, it was Kon Diao at 7 years old… and Yi thought he was 14.
This was Yi version before the tiger incident… He loved Diao and pretty much verbal about it. He thought that he should have married Diao when Diao was 18. He was a bit mad and confused why that didn’t happen. He only wanted Diao around… He held on to Diao’s hand. Yi was having a fit when he woke up again and didn’t see Diao… He was leaving to find Diao… They had lock him down and put him to sleep.
4 days from the accident, Yi woke up as himself. He didn’t remember the day that he first woke up from that accident.
Yi thought Diao left to Switzerland since he didn’t make it to the airport in time. He was pulling the lines out of his vein and wanted to leave right away to look for Diao. As soon as he learned that Diao was still there, he put the hospital cloth back on, asked for the nurse to come in and put everything back and pretended that he was still asleep.
Lian got a chance to see in Yi in private. Yi finally shared with him about the tiger incident & reason that he stayed away from Diao. Lian felt that Yi should have shared this info long ago so he could have helped solving the problem.
Lian advised Yi to be true to his feeling for Diao and do the hard-sell himself. He told Yi that love is no right nor wrong and no ego. If he has to be embarrassed and get to keep the wife, that’s a win. Yi thought about that and decided to do Lian strategy… BUT he’s still nervous to flirt with Diao… So Lian told him to pretend that he still had TGA amnesia… With that, hoped Yi built up the courage to court Diao.
Yi pretended that he still suffered from memory lost + broken right arm… He hoped to build enough courage to flirt with Diao. He listened to Lian who suggested that. Lian also made a good point that Diao memory lost might likely not come back since it had been so long ago and Diao already spent a considered amount of time with Yi & dad and it hasn’t triggered that. Yi should make his move before losing Diao for good.
Took a while for Diao to get Yi’s flirting messages…
Diao liked this new & talkative Yi way more than the old one.
Diao eventually learned that Yi didn’t have an affair, but those were his sisters. He didn’t talk about them nor brought them around because of his dad. Diao felt very bad about the mis-understanding which almost caused the breakup… Yi had a physical fight with Lian because Lian told Kuea when he was drunk about Yi’s girls… Lian also didn’t know that those were his sister. Yi was a hothead and wanted to kick Lian’s butt. Diao ended up stopping the fight… he threw Lian over the shoulder flat on his back and put his feet up on Yi’s chest… That’s surprised everyone.
They then got deeper into learning about each other…
Another reason why Yi didn’t stay home with Diao in the last 7 years were because he was a sleepless (on top of Wongteerawat’s request)… he has bad dream from the tiger incident that he almost killed Diao… the gun… his dead tiger pet… He didn’t want Diao to know… That’s also the reason which he stayed away.
When they now have lived together, he realized that Diao also often had bad dream from the incident. Yi was deeply upset.
That night, they got to talk… Yi came clean about everything. He told Diao about the incident and the reason he had to keep distance from Diao… Diao’s father & family had to be included… Wongteerawat family have been receiving money from Chen family… a lot of money in lump-sum at the time of the incident and monthly (milloions) after… and the compensation was increase after their engagement. Chens paid for Daio’s hand in marriage.
Diao cried… badly… he never knew that Wongteerawats were living off of Chen family. He felt horrible that he was a big burden to Yi… He never knew how much he was loved by Yi… how much he was loved by Yi’s dad. Yi kept telling him that it wasn’t a that big of a deal… Chen has a lot of money and he meant that… It was just the manner of paying it out that annoyed him… Chen family would pay any price to have Diao where he was… Chens wanted to take Diao out of his poison family situation… That’s why England boarding school and this hefty price engagement so Diao doesn’t have to live with him family. Beside Diao’s dad, no one cared for him, yet he couldn’t protect Diao.
Yi started to be physically addicted to Diao’s present. He learned to love when Diao took care of him… his flirts came more natural… and he loved how Diao reacted to it so that gave him audacity to do more. He got way worse come to be possessive of Diao. Kuea is on his #1 envy list… their Chihuahua also on that list sometime.
Yi took Diao with him on his first day back to work. They went to pick up a particularly expensive car from the custom and deliver it… at the delivery, Diao happened to know the customer and his young son who was so ecstatic to see Diao. Diao was his favorite teach. They thought Diao went to Switzerland. This customer liked Diao… He thought Diao worked for the dealer… he offered a condo in an expensive neighborhood to Diao in the past because Diao mentioned to his co-worker that he was looking for an apartment (as a backup plan when he broke up with Yi) and he repleted his offer in front of Yi… Yi turned deep green, formally introduced Diao as his fiancé, mentioned the wedding and dragged Diao away.
Diao was a 2nd Degree Black Belt… Yi’s dad knew it but Yi didn’t. Diao took a part time assistance job teaching youngsters Taekwondo. He rode a bicycle to Chen’s security guard company training course and then his teaching job regularly. Diao didn’t hind any of these but Yi never came home so Diao never talked about it. Yi was so aggravated that Diao chose to use a bicycle to commute, instead of 20 supercar options in his garage… people might gossip and his dad might kill him, Yi though. Yi was extremely frustrated by those hidden facts… he felt left out… that must have been like when Lian learned about Kuea’s secrets.
Yi felt like Kuea was a mother hen guarding Diao. Kuea rode Diao everywhere when they were in college. His dad mentioned in frustration / kidding after that accident that he should have given Diao hand to Kuea since Kuea was a better person to take care and love Diao. That stabbed Yi in the heart, kidding or not… Yi and Lian always aggravated by Kuea & Diao relationship… even though they were aware that Kuea & Diao were just best friends. Yi and Lian deep down hate that Kuea & Diao prioritized each other before them. Friend’s before husband.
Diao wanted to break up with Yi as soon as he learned about the agreement with Wongteerawat. Yi refused… it is a lot of money but it is not that much of money for him, plus he couldn’t possibly live without Diao now.
Yi and Diao didn’t have bad dream now that they sleep together. They cure each other mentally. Yi could never be away from Diao for long.
Diao proposed a fake break up… Chens were considering that. Yi wanted to own Wongteerawat’s company, not just because of the business reason, but he wanted Diao to stop being in the middle, being Wongteerawat’s tool and feeling guilty of the arrangement.
Yi’s dad was a very smart man + had a history of divorce… so he added in the agreement with Wongteerawat that if Tacha ran away / break up with Yi, it would be considered as a bleach of contract.
Diao planned his run away at the wedding. The clue was only that the cat & mouse game would start before the evening party, after the celemony. Yi had to double back that with his own plan. Yi’s dad told Tacha to run away for 30 mins and everything should be concluded by then… they hand shake on that agreement. Chens would be the embarrassed victim party and Wongteerawat would have to take responsibility for that.
Yi & Lian were talking… Yi hated playing victim. He hated being the under hand. If Diao got away, Diao would disappear for a while. Yi had to catch Diao before then. Yi swore that he wouldn’t be away from Diao. Lian was teasing Yi… Yi reminded Lian of the fact that Kuea would go away with Diao if that came about. Lian lost his smile and fully co-operated.
Phayak was so happy that there was now Tacha Chen…
The cat & mouse game took place. Diao didn’t leave the hotel. Yi had a lot of helps + cheated a little. Yi put camera on their dog collar… the dog was very smart. Yi & Diao trained her to press the house alarm if there was an intruder and such… Yi also paid hefty to turn all Diao’s friends & team members. Money was never a problem for Chen family. Kuea was the only one that Yi couldn’t buy with money… Kuea helped Yi because he pondered of Diao’s happiness.
Diao fist-fought with Yi before he brought Diao in. Diao was trying his best to cross the 30 mins threshold. When Diao & Yi walked in to the meeting with Yi’ dad & Diao’s dad, the new agreement had been made.
It came into light that Diao’s step-brother had his hand in Yi’s accident. He dated Chen’s competitor family and wanted Chen family to not be able to handle the world class formula racing that was coming up. They were creating trouble for Chen business. Diao’s brother wanted Diao dead. The competitor wanted to ruin the race… if there was a funeral, Chen family wouldn’t be able to manage the race.
The real target was Tacha. His step-brother was jealous of Tacha. He thought Tacha/Diao was taking over the business which he was hoping to be passed to him. He wasn’t aware that Wongteerawat business was at the verge of bankruptcy.
The Ferrari in accident was gifted to Diao after the engagement. Diao hardly used it… the car was too big & powerful for Diao. Diao and Chens forgot all about it because Diao was allowed to use any cars. (Yi had around 20 supercars in his personal garage) Diao preferred his bicycle, which pissed Yi off… Only Wongteerawat family knew about the gifted Ferrari.
The Ferrari was investigated by Yi’s dad hiring team. They confirmed that it was tampered and cause the flip over accident. Yi took the Ferrari out by chance because he was running after Dioa to the airport and was in a hurry. The Chens looked at each other and knew that the real target was Diao. Yi’s dad was furious and that’s scary… Diao was the apple of his eye… so he is out to make Wongteerawats pay. Yi was glad that he was the one in the accident, not Diao.
When Chens laid everything on the table, Diao’s dad cried and handed all his business + the land that Chen family was leasing for the formula racetrack over to Chen family. He was sad that he almost hurt Diao and he wanted to end this madness.
Chens agreed to give Wongteerawats salary just enough for the rest of their life, nothing robustly like before. Chen family will run Wongteerawat business. Yi analyzed that the company has good bone so he was confident that it could do well shortly under his re-organization. (Diao graduated with 1st honor business degree… he could help.) Diao’s brother would be shipped off far away to finish school and not allowed to be in close proximity of Diao ever again.
After the wedding, the focus was at the formula world racing. It is the first major event of the Chen family, the country and Southeast Asia. Yi spent almost a month away from home to prepare for the event. Diao was trying to be strong and filled the time away from Yi by adopting and house-breaking 2 baby tigers. Diao wanted Yi to make amend with their past tiger incident.
The race event was a huge success! Everyone was complementing the Chens, especially Yi. That has put Chen family up a scale… Yi was happy to be home to Diao. He was sleepless again when he was away… Yi woke up to their pet dog babysitting 2 tigers that he has never seen before. He was in full panic and lifted the dog up. Yi loved the dog very much by this this point. After the initial shock, he started playing with the tigers… it was a long progress but he is on the path to healing.
Everything was much more in place currently… Diao was a 1st Degree Black Belt now and took a gym teaching position at an all-girl high school. Yi agreed to it because that was the least guy contact option.
Yi was still tremendously possessive of Diao. He got mad that Diao was fully covered in heart stickers and received lot of flowers on Valentine’s Day. Diao put his foot down, they had a fight and Diao ran off to Yi’s dad mansion. Yi’s dad was amused and told his security guards not to let Yi in no matter what.
Yi went to work… counting down the time that he would finish up so he would go apologize and take Diao home. They made a promise not to let it go over night when they had a fight.
Yi baffled that he wasn’t allowed to come in his dad’s mansion. It’s his dad test… he knew it. He tricked the young/new security guard to bring him in as an intruder. They ran in to his dad’s tiger pet. Yi ordered the tiger to watch the guard while he was climbing up to the balcony. The tiger out his paw on the guard lap… the guard frozen to the spot. Yi was about to get to Diao’s door… Diao came out, kicked and twisted Yi to the floor, broke his eyebrow. Diao thought Yi was an intruder. Yi were happy that Diao forgave him as soon as Dioa saw blood coming down his face, but felt emasculated that he was manhandled by Diao AGAIN!
Diao’s 2-night school trip with his co-workers came up. Yi was unhappy but agreed to it… Diao should be able to do what he liked.
Yi contemplated but gave up… he followed Diao to the resort camp disguised in the nearby suit in the same report. His disguised was so poor so Diao spotted him… Yi took the dog with him so it is not that hard to be noticed.
Yi was nervous like a child getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Diao wasn’t mad but he coldly laid out the line to Yi… Daio sneaked out to sleep with Yi at night… he was also very much attached to Yi. He didn’t have nightmare when they were together.
Their relationship was going along that trend… they were very happy. They couldn't live without one another. Yi was very much attached to his wife. He alway reached out for Diao before any big decision making. They were moving to the Chen's mansion... The tigers were getting bigger and dad wanted to move to a new condo with his partner... Dad was keeping it private.
They were planning a double-honeymoon with Kuea & Lian… Yi was skeptical about the ‘double’ part. He still felt the same way toward Kuea Kirati… Jealous

Yi grew up as almost like a mafia environment... he has an aggressive personality and always annoyed by everything. He will find later that he won't care about anything else but Diao.
They crossed over in... as helpers... they will have their own story.
When it is your problem, you don't know how to solve it... Yi & Diao are there for that. Kuea & Lian will be in Naughty Babe (2nd book) as their supports in return.

I’m going to share with you a summary of each book. As I watched 2 ep so far, the series are mostly 80% followed the novels. The background is a bit complicated so I will start by breaking that down.
CUTIE PIE:
Kuea Kirati: Coming from old money family with his great-great-grandfather had title similar to a Lord or Knife… so his mother was a Lady and owned several great pieces of land in Bangkok. His dad was a Thai high-ranging ambassador in Europe… They commonly traded ambassadors around every few years. During this storyline, his dad is in Vienna, Austria.
He was using his mother’s last name Kirati because that’s how the inheriting-line can be passed on his mom’s side of the family.
His family was among high-profile society. He had the good name, titled mother, well-mannered, money, look and great reputation last name among the old money.
Kuea’s grandfather engaged Lian to Lady Kavarin’s child since before she was married because he wanted to be connected with the Wongs… he genuinely loved the Wongs since when they didn’t have money. When Kuea was born as a boy, his grandfather wanted to keep the engagement regardless. He loved and trusted Lian and his family… they made ‘heart’ promise. His gut told him that Lian was the one for Kuea.
We will learn throughout the story that Kuea was extremely popular. Many hi-society families were ready to pursue his hand if the engagement to Wang family ended. Anyone would want to be related to Kirati family. He was popular in school and company where he did his internship. Also, he was in a very high demand as Kirin.
Lian / Kilain Wong: Coming from poor Chinese immigrant family. His father worked for Kuea’s grandfather’s silk fabric company. He was trusted, loved and advanced to be the general manager. Mr. Wong, 40, married his mom who was much younger and her family owned a small ice factory. His father quit the GM job to work with his wife after the marriage. His family started doing welled after Lian was born.
Even after leaving the silk company GM job, their families were in touch. They saw each other weekly and treated it like a church day… Wang family dressed up in their Sunday-best for their weekly visit at the Kirati mansion. They love each other. Their moms were very close. After Kuea was born, Kuea’s grandfather decided to keep the engagement and the Wongs agreed. They all were ecstatic to have their 2 families combined… They only loved and trusted one another… it was the ‘heart’-promise, they felt.
Lian’s family has borrowed millions of dollars from Kuea’s grandfather during their beverage business expansion was underfunded. Lian’s family always felt in debt to the Kiratis and will always do anything for them.
Wong family was doing very well now financially. They own a leading alcohol & beverages company and Pentagon pub. Lian was about to buy in to the Gemini bar where Kirin loved to play. Gemini was described to be a small rooftop bar and not profitable when Lian brought in… he only did that so Kuea had a space to be Kirin.
Lian & Kuea loved each other as long as they know it… They were 7 years apart. Kuea moved to attend a boarding school in England… I’m guessing from Naughty Babe book that when he was around 7-8 years old… that’s when & where he met his best friend, Kon Diao.
Kuea moved back to Thailand when he’s 18… After high school… same time with Diao… for a different reason. He missed Lian so he is giving up his music (drumming) prodigy opportunity in Europe.

Kuea & Lian loved each other but they “mis-communicate” a lot.
Kuea was trying his best to be angelic like all his life… his old money + ambassador family position put him in an absolutely neat, well-mannered and soft-spoken image… Lian thought that’s how Kuea is… Kuea thought that’s how he should be to be suitable to Lian, who was a perfectionist in Kuea’s eye. He thought that’s what Lian wanted… Kuea deeply loved Lian and lived his life with one final destination… to marry Lian/Kilian Wong.
Lian was doing something in the same manner. He thought Kuea was so neat & flawless and he had to try his best to be immaculate in all aspect to be perfectly matched up to Kuea. He truly loved Kuea since he was 7 and Kuea was a baby. Lian thought Kuea was that cutest no matter what Kuea did. He lived his life planning to fit himself with sweet/innocence Kuea… Lian worked so hard to have money so Kuea can be hi-society housewife like his mother… he thought that what Kuea wanted. His fear was to embarrass Kuea… Chinese immigrant was viewed as rough + Kuea’s family was his dad’s boss… marrying the boss’ kid deemed to be viewed as an ‘over-reach’ regardless. He had to try extremely hard to be ‘good enough’ in the view of the society.
While keeping up with the charade. Kuea built up wall to cover his secret loves of Auto Engineer (dirty job), superbike (inappropriate), and drumming (and inappropriate). He had a secret house to hind those. His mom & dad were in Austria…his grandpa passed away… so he was alone in the mansion. The mansion that he was hardly there. He spent most of his time in his safe house.
Apparently, Lian and Kuea are more alike than they thought...
Lian loved supercar while Kuea loved superbike. They like dark, raw concert walls & naked closets for their houses... Kuea loved Lian's house. They both over-dressed for each other because they thought that what the other like. They loved the same music (Indy).. that's what got Lian to start looking for Kirin in the first place. Lian had good ear when it came to music. He was following Channel Kirin, a Youtube channel that had close to 1M followers.
Lian was there when Kuea played at the Gemini bar for the first time. Lian was frequent there for 5 years before Kuea moved back to Thailand. He was there for the music... He had to make a stiff face when Jay excitedly told him about Kirin, his new hiring… if he said he was interested in hiring Kirin also, Jay would not be opened to him about Kirin’s info.
So he was so mad to see Kuea under disguised as Kirin... Lian recognized Kuea of course. He nearly broke the glass in his hand… He just dropped off sweet Kuea Kirati at the mansion, called to say good night, went back home to change and now Lian was watching cheerful Kuea on the stage drumming it away. Before this Lian thought he gave Keua room to be teenager. He thought Kuea was a sweet / one-dimension person as shown to him. He never double-checked.
After that, Lian started a serious investigation on Kuea. When there was a secret about Kirin, Lian could only guess that there were more. Lian then knew about the superbike and that Kuea has a secret house because Kuea was hardly at the mansion... His PIs couldn't get the location of the safe house because Keua usually went there on the superbike and he managed to loose the tail without knowing that he was being followed.
Lian felt betrayed when he saw Kirin, he felt mistrust.... although he was also pretending… hypocrite LoL! … he never told Kuea about his super-cars, racing that he loved to do for fun and love for Indy music. Lian kept that for over a year while he grew slightly cold, uncomfortable and apart from Kuea.
Kuea got drunk for the 2nd night in a roll after his first attempt to break off the engagement and ended up revealing the safe house. That night, they kissed and Lian learned that Kuea really loved him... and that gave him the confidence to change his strategy in pursuing Kuea aggressively... His original thought was to wait until Kuea was a bit older. Kuea was so drunk and he thought he has kissed a stranger that looked very much like Lian… He didn’t want to believe that Lian could be in screen t-shirt and cut-off jeans.
Lian started to understand Kuea better after that night… he as well got very nervous that Kuea would break off the engagement… Breaking up was the last thing he wanted… His parents would kill him and he loved Kuea and wanted the marriage himself… He didn’t have a back-up plan. Lian was now learning to love Kuea as an adult, even-though it was more like a puppy-love before… they both were processing that.
So far Kuea was truly crazy about Lian without saying... He named everything (Dragon), which is the meaning of Lian's name... I think that's very cute.

Lian brought Toothless and Light Fury dolls for Keua as a gift (toothless for Valentine and Light Fury for Birthday) and then he saw them again in one of Kirin's Youtube videos. Kirin put the dolls behind his drum set... Lian got excited and saw this as a game he wanted to win...he wanted to win over Keua that he wanted Kuea to be himself... he seriously wanted them to be real to each other and was planning to force Keua out from the fake shell.
PS: Kuea didn't like animation. He fell asleep every-time watching it. He told Lian that he went to see How to Train Your Dragon (His friend dragged him to see) and Lian thought Kuea like cartoon. They both have to learn to communicate. LoL!
After the night of their first kiss, Lian decided to show his real self to Kuea…with the hope that Kuea would show off his true self as well. He didn’t want to just tell Kuea that he knew… He wanted Kuea to break down that wall himself… He felt Kuea didn’t have to pretend and Kuea had to know that on his own. He already accepted Kuea in any shapes nor forms, he was just mad that he was lied to. He would let Kuea pursue his dream if that’s what Kuea wanted.
Lian made the move by arranging for Kuea to come live with him… Kuea’s mom agreed while his dad didn’t aware… and Lian now show his talkative personality… playboy like, flirty… shameless when talking to Kuea… that’s how he actually was… He was doing his best to sell himself… that’s how he put it.
Needless to say, it worked! They are mellowing along that path of getting to understand each other and letting out secrets.
Lian decided to invite Kuea to his friend get together/drinking party at his Pentagon pub. Lian didn’t want to do so prior because he was afraid that Kuea would know that he wasn’t a quiet guy… things that his friends would tell Kuea… he decided that it is time for Kuea to know + he didn’t want to tarnish Kuea family good reputation by bending that rule + Kuea was now 20 and can legally be in a pub & drink. 20 is the legal age for that in Thailand.
Yi lured Kuea into playing the spinning bottle game. Yi cheated, of course! Kuea, who already loved drinking, got really drunk and kissed Lian in the open in front of all his friends… Lian thought that was funny. Lian took Kuea home and they slept together. Kuea was drunk and too physically flirty… Lian lost control because he already had a foundation to see everything Kuea did was so cute.
After that night, Lian was addicted to be around Kuea. He moved up the plan to take his parents to talk about dowry and wedding plan with Kuea’s parents in Vienna that summer, instead of after Kuea’s graduation which was 2 years from then.
While they lived together, Kuea learned that his family financial aspect was somewhat in serious trouble. His grandfather and his mom have transferred/sold everything to be in Lian’s name. Lian now own, managed and keeping Kirati’s business & property ownership afloat.
It was more financially sensible if Lian didn’t marry him… Kuea was panic because Kirati’s financial was holding back Wong’s… Lian said he would marry Kuea no matter what because that’s the promise and also what he wanted … Kuea shared that info with his best friend, Diao. Diao consoled him. They then looked around to see that Kuea had financially. They were in shock to see the online bank statement of Kuea’s music income. There were around £800,000 (around $1,066,000) sitting there untouched.
Kirin made that money as a hobby in roughly 5 years. Kirin works included drumming cover for big screen movies, sport events, fashion show, Channel Kirin videos, etc. He played, recorded and sent them in… he only picked the jobs that he felt like… he never checked the income. He just liked doing it.
Now… Kuea has to break it to Lian because he doesn’t know how to manage that much of money and he thought the money could help Kirati’s financial. Kuea was emotionally racked crying at his safe house… he was afraid to come forward… Lian came home to an empty house and got annoyed… he was very much addicted to Kuea by this point… his heart was not with work and he was looking forward to see Kuea all day. He called Kuea and felt right away that Kuer was not ok. He started to guess that Kuea would be at his secret house and wouldn’t want Kuea to be on the bike while he is emotionally unstable. He begged for Kuea to share his location… when Kuea did that, Lian knew that he was about to reveal the true.
Lian had a hard time getting to the safe house during rush hours. He jumped out of his luxury car, hopped on the train, switched the train, walked and got soaking wet by arrival. He was very annoyed by the rough journey… but then when he saw Kuea, he suddenly felt fine… He knew then that Kuea was his home.
Kuea told him everything. He was perplexed by the amount of money Kirin made as a hobby during that brief period of time. Kuea offered to hand him all the money. Lian said he didn’t need it. Kuea insisted… so they agreed for Kuea to keep that as their safety nest if they ever needed it. Lian knew he didn’t need it.
Shortly after, Lian arranged for his team to share all his financial info, including Kirati’s properties. He’s a billionaire… they spent hours with his team and accounting department going through the list + how they should manage Kirati properties. Lian was planning his will for everything to go to Kuea if something happened to him before they were married. His parents would have given Kuea everything anyway. They thought of Kuea as their own, married or not.
That night, Lian gifted Kuea a superbike, Ducati Panigale v4. Because Lian didn’t want to tell Yi, his best friend, who the bike was for, Yi, who owned the major dealers, set up the full set delivery of the bike with the whole team of sale staffs, lights and paper shoots as a prank… Lian only asked for the bow on the bike. Lian was so embarrass with the big commotion. It was a laugh for Kuea. Kuea named the Ducati, Kirin… like his Youtube channel. (His first bike was Chelin)
During that Summer break, Kuea, Lian, Mr and Mrs Wong were on the flight to see Kuea’s parent. Keua was about to be 3rd in college. Lian was extremely nervous like he never had before throughout his life… For Thais, proposal is done by parents or grandparents or elders. They all have to agree or the wedding can’t take place. Lian wanted the proposal to success so badly.
When they arrived, they never got a chance to officially get to the proposal until the last day of the trip. Lady Kirati loved Lian and gave him the greenlight for Kuea & Lian to live together before the marriage BUT the ambassador (Kuea’s dad) was unhappy with Lian. It is not that he hated Lian… it is more like ‘no one was good enough for my child’… so he coldly reprimanded Lian. Lian was a confident man who had never afraid of anyone… he felt so small in front of the ambassador… he was badly seeking his approval and the only way was to be at his mercy.
Lian was not allowed to be with Kuea for the whole time that they were in Austria. Slept separately… not even hand holding … Kuea’s dad didn’t have to say it in those exact words but Lian got the message… it was the true well-mannered / old family highroad way. Lian was at the ambassador’s mercy. He was very obsessed with Kuea by that point and he was having such a hard time sleeping alone. The ambassador ordered Lian to go back to Thailand with his parents in a week and Kuea would stay 2 weeks longer here with them. He wasn’t asking. He coldly said it and that’s how it was going be.
At the proposal, Wongs wanted to move up the wedding and prepared millions in money, properties, and their businesses as dowry and they were ready to render anything and everything as needed, including the shirt on their back, for the wedding to take place… and they were sincere about that. Kuea’s parents responded by not wanting anything at all. They said they had plenty with properties on the ambassador’s side of the family. They just wanted Kuea to be well care for. That was the ultimate way of the old fashion / old money behaved on both ends. They both got into the a very long polite and heart wrenching conversation of pushing the dowry back and forth… very rare indeed.
In Thai tradition, if the dowry is too small for the bride profile, it is deemed to be inappropriate in the public eye… because the dowry is to replace the value of the bride… the bride belongs to her parents as a property… the groom takes the bride away so he has to replace the value of the bride. The higher the profile of the bride, the higher of her value so the dowry has to be appropriate to her value.
The Wongs got panic when the dowry was rejected… they truly wanted the Kirati to have what’s appropriate. At the end, they all could only agree that they would talk about this matter again in 3 years when Kuea has graduated. Lian didn’t object but somewhat disappointed.
The Wongs were leaving Austria. Lian & Kuea were holding hands & pressing their foreheads together at the airport. They both were having the hardest time saying good bye. Lian turned around and followed his parents to the gate. Kuea ran after him to give him a kiss. Lady Kirati reprimanded him for bad behavior and the ambassador was looking at Lian with disapproval. Lian’s heart was filled for first time in the entire week…
Now Keua got an internship at the Formula race track of Chen family. Kuea was the only intern ever. It was a favor of Yi and no one badly thought about it negatively. One is because Kuea was very much down to earth and could do everything that was asked. Another was because Keua just wanted some experience as he had so much interest in auto engineering… They all knew that he would just have him for that intern period.
One of his dream was to work for the world Formula One racetrack in Europe so he was testing the water by this internship experience. He had to be in the Northeast province of Thailand for 2.5 months. Lian unhappily agreed… He wanted Kuea to live a full life that he wished to have. He asked only that Kuea came home every weekend. Lian was sleepless when Kuea wasn’t there. Lian learned to ride the superbike when Keau did the internship. He rode the superbike to pick Kuea up after the flight every week.
The novel described a bit of Kuea’s simple and down to earth character in the country… very cute… no one knew who he was. He was dirty and had the time of his life at work. Kuea also had a hard time when he was back to the hotel/apt.
One week toward the end of his internship, Kuea didn’t come home because the company has a party. Lian made a surprise visit. Lian got to see Kuea funny dance. He was having a moment to know Kuea as Mechanic Kuer, who was sooooo popular among ladies at the company seeing from the massive number of flowers after the dance show.
FYI: Tomorrowland is a Belgian electronic dance music festival held in Boom, Flanders, Belgium since 2005. In 2022, the festival has 17 stages and lasts 3 weeks. 400,000 of people attended.
The story cut to when the Kirin is about to perform at the Tomorrowland concert, in Belgium.
Kirin has signed his first major contract and agreed to reveal his face / identity at the festival. Kirin NEVER review his face / identity… (The series had his face revealed in the episode 2…I’m sure why.) His fans followed him there when they were told of the plan. His secret identity behind the facemask was one of his major selling points. People love that about Kirin.
Lian got away from his busy work to give Kirin emotional support. Kirin was so nervous… it was a major step in his music carrier, which he chose to do. He went out to drum and he did so well… Lian had that moment… his heart was beating so loud… he felt in love with Kirin.
Kuea & Lian spent few days together at festival… they were having such a great time. They felt free that no one there knew them. (Kirin didn’t unveil his face.) They could kiss in the open. They didn’t have to keep the bodyguard nor secretary.
At the end of the Tomorrowland Festival, Kuea had to go to the US for 2 weeks to meet up with the team at music company he signed with, while Lian headed home and back to his busy schedule. They both had a very rough time being without one another. Kuea couldn’t drum… it was ok… they already planned for him to work from Thailand, record and send the work in.
As soon as Kuea came back, thy discuss building a new house on the land that used to be Wong’s original ice factory. Kuea needed more work space for his music room and recording studio. Kuea wanted to buy that project himself to be their home. Lian was touch and agreed.
Somewhere in the middle of the book, it talked briefly about his jealousy of Kuea and Diao. He knew that nothing was going on but he felt of their closeness. He understood that Kuea would always leave an empty seat for Diao. He was annoyed that Yi wasn’t there in his place so Kuea had to be that close to Diao so he sometime put a prank on Yi… it was fun for him.
Toward the end they understand each other better while situated into their comfort zone. Kuea loved Lian more as his everything, friend, brother, boyfriend, lover, husband, life partner and sometime father who protect and care for him.
Lian loved several versions of Kuea…
- Kuea Kirati: a sweet well-manner, high and mighty in the eye of society and beloved of all the elders
- Ai Kuea: the rude and funny among his friends in college
- Mechanic Kuea: a guy who loved the auto dirty job and speed of his superbikes
- Kirin: the prodigy who’s passionate about his music and so attractive while he was drumming
Lian was always so happy of his decision to pursue Kuea when he did. He could imagine not having Kuea in his life… When they had the fight at the beginning of the book, Kuea was considering moving back to Europe which decision would receive full support from his dad.
Now they were each other's everything…
Lian had 5 cars so far, he might get 1 more.... I'm still reading.

He did insult Kuea with the Annabelle comment when they had the fight but that's how he actually thought when comparing Kuea/Kirin to Annabelle.
Their fist kiss is coming up in Ep 2 I think. They kissed in his car after Kirin got drunk at the Gemini club. Kirin was so drunk and thought he has kissed a doppelgänger of Lian... He didn't believe that Lian he knew could dress in a screen t-shirt & jeans with holes. That was Kuea's first kiss... he was tad upset the next day because he was saving it for Lian.
Kuea didn't think that was Lian and with him being so drunk, he revealed the location of his safe house.
Lian got very exuberant to learned that info... he had Kirin followed and Kirin ALWAYS managed to loose the tail (without realizing that he was followed) because he was sooo fast on his superbike.
