Yea - that kinda sucks. I thought she may be portrayed to have developed more trust of him - she defended his innocence for Pete sake so it makes no sense for her to jump so quickly to that conclusion. lazy writing?

This is hilarious. ‘ zero self-preservation instincts ’ so true. Yes, this is what dramas are supposed to do, keep us engaged and sucking our sleeping hours.

I get you and at the same time am saddened that Bible readers have projected such a negative image to others. The Bible’s message is that we humans are all a mess and cannot with our own effort be righteous no matter how we try. Only the one above can do that miraculous work for us so we cannot boast that anyone is better. This drama contains some controversial content that has definitely has ruffled some feathers out there. Unfortunately, some folks just cannot handle it and resort to very disrespectful, disruptive behavioR. I commend the Lamenters for handling it pretty well.

hahaha, I had to drop that one as much as I loved CXX. he's so handsome, disciplined, and a great actor (acting since he was a child). he was such a morally grey char in GMP (very machliavelian) and a villain, sweetheart, an d a womanizer. haha..., LBL ahhh.... swoonworthy. I rewatched scenes from ep 20 - the alley scene where the ML/FL meet after she stood up for him and the fireworks scene. This time I watched it for the FL's reaction and I can see that at this moment in time, the relationship truly is just one sided (ML's) and that she only admires him as a military commander not as a romantic interest. When she encountered him in the alley, she was taken aback and was even a bit apprehensive seeing him. He misread her standing up for him as romantic interest however, she's done this before for other ppl. I get that. Not all actions have underlying intentions. I think he was confused because in his world, all actions have underlying motives and interests. (for us viewers, we've been conditioned to think like the ML and we are generally terribly eager to ship the leads). So he was confused that she would save him but not like him. However, that scene with the fireworks where he openly explained and apologized to her for his past behavior indicates that he has had time to reflect and recognize that she may very well not be interested in him and is accepting of it even though he hunger and yearned for her reciprocating love. This is a sign of maturity. Her response, apologizing to him that she doesn't really know how to respond to his feelings and feeling her life has been running off track since she met him, again shows that she's not interested in him that way. Also, we he reaches out to touch her hair, she flinched and pulled away a bit. She clearly is still affected/traumatized by his past behavior towards her. Glad, we get to see her side.

FZX is FINE but don't know if he can pull of the complexities YCX requires. I think CL is the better actor. I wonder whether LXY would make it work.

Wang D is not generally a main lead actor however, I enjoy his morally grey smls and even his villains.
