Second couple (the niece) was also very good. I have not watched the liberation period (1950’s) of china’s history much. Wow, this drama did a fine job giving the audience full immersion in it. What a stifling period. I was crying watching the whole time. So glad I didn’t live through that period of time. Scary. But the romance between the leads managed to survive. Very beautiful and completely different from the first story.

Wow... just finished ep 10 - it ended with a bang. wow... I am quite impressed with the quality of the drama thus far. The costuming/hair/makeup, the acting, the music & bam. I could feel the tension building up as relationships get strained. Who's good who's bad.. what's right what's wrong. it's a complex time with various ideals and values colliding.

Oh no! Here comes trouble is pretty good. The ml is such a good actor. Hello ghost is a movie he’s in that’s great. Also, Reborn is a drama w/ our ML. But it’s quite painful and heavy like 12 letters.

yea - the ending was rushed. maybe they ran out of $$? I have no idea. but I am at peace with the ending. not much romance.

ep 26 - wow, I did not expect that to happen. Loved how they had the world continue on... that's reality. And the characters communicated and worked out their conflicts and looked hopefully towards the future. What a nice ending....

ep 26 - yes in the end, the adults got some senses and compromised for the kids' sake. Phew.... seems like in all of this, it was really the wife vs the mil . husband was just a body. hahaha...

But she also has her mom who has offered to help watch the kids which should offset some of the financial burden. I just feel like they put too much weight on the mil’s financial support. It’s like the mil vs the wife (instead of husband vs wife) which to me doesn’t make sense. Also, having $ to hire Nannie’s is not love. It just feels like the justification for granting full custody of twins to husband was purely financial and not about the mental well being of the children. The children are not even close to their grandma.

Dx (the ml) is the real dx. However, when he was kidnapped, his father denied that dx was his son and brought in fxy to fill in as dx. So dx’s sister grew up w/ fxy. Which is why she’s surprised w/ all the things he does that’s like her brother. Later on when dx returned, his father ordered him to take fxy out and kill him, then take back his identity again. Dx instead spared fxy’s life and they made a pact. Fxy would by dx’s eyes in ears in court while he was on the battlefield. They’re supposed to be enemies in public but secretly they are working together to unify the country and restore peace.

Ep 25 is so sad. Personally, I think the court made the wrong decision regarding the child custody case. The mother In Law should not have such a heavy weight in the matter. It’s between the husband and wife. They minimized the importance of emotional and psychological well being tearing up the strong bonds with the ,other and siblings in favor of potential financial support. Psychological studies have show that nurture in a child’ a developing years are crucial to becoming well adjusted socially as an adult.

He got accepted to the higher court. If he works there, she cannot practice law domestically due to conflict of interest. She would only be able to practice international law.

The two are amazing. I’m anticipating some deep multifaceted characters. 🤞

It sounds like the same voice as when she was in Love on the turquoise land so I would guess it’s her real voice.

It was deeper than that. According to the translation, ‘when you offered/asked her to be your concubine, did she accept?’ Or something like that. Silence. Loved it.

Just finished ep 1.. wow… starts out with a bang. Didn’t watch princess agent so I appreciate the flashback.

Today’s eps 24/25 were about 35 min each. 😢
