Personally, I think the director and screenwriter did a poor job telling the story. An actor can only or so much. The scenes with the actual nature background were breathtaking. However, So many scenes just didn’t make sense… like ep 37 when he called her name and she turned around. He’s standing in the bed o flowers. I’m like huh? How did he get there? Why is he in the bed of flowers trampling on them instead of standing on the walkway? It didn’t make any sense except maybe the director though it would look good. Honestly, I was kinda worried with this director. Thank goodness it’s not the worst out there.
Finally got around to finishing it while waiting for another drama to drop more eps (most will know one it is). It definitely suffered from the directing and story telling. However, Yiran and other members of the cast were great. I shed tears towards the end. It was overall enjoyable but I admit that I stayed for Yiran. It had so much potential but too many hiccups, unbelievable feats and anticlimactic villain revelation resulted in another so/so drama. Will look forward to Yiran’s next drama. Hopefully, it will be better directed.

I think the director wanted to show the ml growth arc from being selfish to completely selfless for her. At the end , he literally sacrificed everything for her and for her cause.

I’ve been trying to continue generation to generation but it’s so hard when this drama is so good. Love this director. If you haven’t watched his other dramas, you can start there. They’re all good.
