As written in the original script for ep 17, we have the scene where she defies her dad.

But our story is so much more about NH than SYM.

Yes - we see the more complete him. She is handicapped by her first impressions from the original script (as well as from the initial production meeting and her presumptions of him as a famous but high maintenance, no talent actor). The thought of her character’s bitter ending probably doesn’t help.

However, she will start experiencing what he has to endure.

If he had any love for NH, we would have seen it already. Instead, he only has hate, distrust, and contempt for him.

NH is a child from a political marriage. He has no affection to the mom. Just transactional.

NH was present with his favorite concubine was assassinated so every time he sees NH, he’s reminded.of her death.

He’s not outright evil, but he’s cunning, calculating, and looks nice on the surface.

Ahh..yea, got it. I had to rewatch scenes o follow what’s happening. As a matter of fact, I decided to rewatch from the beginning and picked up better understanding of what’s going on.

He’s am amazing actor. Loving his comedic scenes. He plays all his roles well!

Sounds like you haven’t watched it yet. This drama is not like the typical drama, lots of silliness, pokes fun of tropes (being swept away by the hero, the tragic ending, abandonment, etc), doesn’t take itself seriously, yet at the same time we are drawn into the characters. If you’re into more serious dramas, this may not be a good fit. There’s a lot of making fun of drama making and modern world as well. I missing a lot since a lot is lost in translation but the bits I grasps have kept me engaged.

I first saw her in LBFAD and thought how beautiful she was and looked at her other dramas.
