I'm still thinking if I should watch this drama but reading the comments I see it's another toxic, abusive ML…
Wow ! I’m just at the second episode but indeed, if it’s another toxic but sexy ML, I’m gonna drop this quickly. abusive men are not sexy, just abusive. I don’t want to see this romantize.
We have the winner for the best couple of 2023 ! Come on ! What a joy this drama is. There are so many great things my mind is blowing. The chemistry between the leads is there, no question. They are together always and when they fight, they don’t stay mad at each other too long. The ML respects his FL in the best way possible, even at first when he’s not sure bout his feelings. The FL in incredible ! How many faces has she ? Fierce as hell, tender, sad, protective, strict with her pupil, funny with her comrades… The ML has also so many faces. They are two sides of the same coin. The princess is just great because she’s so scared at first (she’s a 16 years old teen !) but she listens, she learns, she grows up to become a ruler. She has more dignity in her little finger than her big brother of an emperor who’s despicable. As for the secondary characters, they’re here and play an important part. The young Yuan Lu is a little lovely heart. Yu Shi San knows when to shut up and when to be charling. Quin Yao is scary but knows when he’s wrong. As for Jiu, the FL old pupil, he manages to be annoying as hell, childish, obsessive but also has some qualities. He needs to let go of his shifu though.
I’m at episode 9 and I find this one so boring ! No plot whatsoever, ridiculous FL. I love Bai Lu but her character here is an empty shell. As for Dylan Wang, he a piece of wood here ! What a waste of talent.
So the doctor really thought he could, alone, in front of the prince and other royalties, take the FL ? And then we, as watchers, are supposed to feel bad when he’s punished ? Sorry but no. I can’t feel sad for a stupid character. And again with the FL obliged to beg for leniency because her stupid man did a stupid thing. Come on ! I don’t know if I can keep watching with those…
Yep, it doesn't get better. Painful to watch till the very end.
I finished it in FF mode. I had a little hope when this damn love spell was supposed to be stopped, but they went back at it again. Ridiculous till the end.
Six episodes in and I’m tired of the plot. It had started well though : a curse, a weird disease… Then came the love spell. And since then, it’s ridiculous as hell. I keep watching homing it’ll get better. But reading the reviews, I sadly doubt it.
A fantastic drama with a happy ending and mature characters. A beautiful love story that unfolds slowly, a big multi layered mystery, matured actors who know how to act. Great chemistry between the leads, cute secondary couple and some sexy parts. Go for it !
I stopped watching this drama at episode 20 something for fear of sad ending, even though I really enjoyed it. Now that I’m reassured, I’ll binge watch the rest with great pleasure. Thanks for this information that gives enough without spoiler (that I hate) !
